Test End

Dave was waiting outside the forest. He wanted to protect the young ones too, but they said it's not appropriate for a king to go, and so he waited for them outside the forest.

Actually, he was told to go back to the kingdom but Dave insisted, with no choice, they gave up and told Dave to just stay put outside the forest and wait for the end of the training.

But then he felt something was amiss, this was the first time he felt like this.

He then walked up to Neal, who was talking to the protector. They seemed to be confused, and at the same time panicking.

"What's wrong?" Dave asked both of them.

"This..." Neal doesn't seem to want to tell Dave about it.

This is weird, what exactly happened? is there something wrong with the training?

"Tell me, what happened?" Dave asked once again, he got a bad feeling about this. He didn't know why, but he sensed something was happening in the forest, and it was unusual.

"Two protectors didn't come back to shift with others... they probably forgot about it..."

"And you are going to trick me with that lousy excuse?"

Neal didn't know what to say.

"Dave picked up his spear and then said to Neal, "I'm going inside the forest to check"

"Wait!" Neal shouted, but Dave ignored him, Dave ran full speed into the forest. None can stop him.

Neal wanted someone to after Dave, but Neal knew none is going to be able to catch up with Dave, only James could, but Neal was too afraid to tell James to chase Dave, he didn't know James too well to command him that, and he is the prince of the famous kingdom that ruled the continent... he was afraid he would get beheaded right away.

Neal sighed, If only he was strong enough, he wouldn't need Dave to know this.

Neal then told the other protector to escort the participants to go back. This was the only thing he could do.

Dave found many participants that were fighting the beast, they still got their protector, so he didn't interfere, because the other protector would tell them what he is worried about was the bad feeling that he keeps getting.

He got the feeling that the protector is already dead, and someone is in a dangerous situation.

He killed every beast that came to his way.

He then found his disciple Clara and the others. They were struggling to fight one beast, it was weird since they are the best from the kingdom.

He then felt a danger coming from his back. Without turning around, he rolled to the side to dodge the attack.

It was a feather.

'This must be why they were struggling, the monster was playing with them to death.' Dave was angry because his people were being played like a toy.

He then dashed to the place where the feather was coming from, but there he saw none.

He was surprised for a moment before realizing that this was a trap.

But it was too late.

A feather flew fast, straight to his heart.

miraculously, he didn't die.

'I didn't die?' Dave was confused, but then someone shouted in his mind.

"Stop standing there like an idiot! Dodge!"

He dodged again, but it wasn't him who moved his body.

"Twisted?" Dave guessed.

"Of course it's me, you fool! Listen, use your fire control to burn the forest! Or you would not survive if you keep doing this!" Twisted told him while dodging the attack from the unknown beast.

"But-"

"Just give me the damn control!"

Dave knew he was going to die if he didn't do it, so he gave the complete body control to Twisted.

"Hehe, I really hate this type of enemy!" Twisted gathered all the fire elements on the tip of the spear and then stabbed the ground.

"Blazing Ground!" Twisted Shouted.

It was the spell that Dave made using Fire Control, It forced the fire element to travel to the ground and then burn all the surrounding, the spell was only effective in burnable places and the forest was the best place to use it.

Fire burned the forest near Dave and then Twisted hear the shriek of a certain Monster.

"Got you now!" Twisted threw the spear with all his might.

the Spear was burning and then it traveled in fast speed, and then stabbed the beast,

It burned the beast into ashes.

Twisted then returned the control to Dave.

Dave looked around and saw the fire was still burning.

He didn't have a way to stop the fire, so he picked his spear and hurried to the group that was struggling.

When he arrived there, the beast was killed already.

He then sees that all of them were passed out from fatigue.

"F*ck how do I carry them?"

The fire is spreading fast. He was panicking.

There were six people laying in the area, and they were all injured.

But then some protectors arrived.

Dave sighed in relief as he told the protector to carry the injured one and then called a water mage to put out the fire.

There are some death's report, the two protectors of the test, they were mercenaries, the body was carried and given to the group that the mercenary belongs to.

As for the young people who died, they already understand the risk and their parents didn't complain, since it was their choice to agree.

When everyone returned they were more experienced, after all this was only a minor setback, and they will experience more gruesome things if war breaks out.

They learned that they can't play around that much. They were more hardworking, because Dave told them, One day those beasts might attack the kingdom and they must be prepared. He was not joking, because this was one of the signs, originally only a low-level beast that's in the periphery of the forest.

But that thing was almost High, rank beast.

He knew because he checked the x mark on its head, the beast almost condensed the third mark. If it succeeds, it would become a much harder battle.

'I guess we will need to speed up the progress of the wall' Dave thought.
