23 Coronation

Dave started working on making blueprints. Everyone was confused at first, but then after watching for a while they understood that Dave was making a building in drawing.

"where did you even learn this? The house is simple but somehow it's more sturdy than other houses from the blueprint you gave me this would be revolutionary!" it shocked Neal how did Dave learn all of this?

"well... let's just say it's a hobby of mine." Dave replied, although it's not really the truth, he can't just say that he learns it for a lifetime, right?

Neal looks suspiciously at Dave, but he didn't inquire Dave about his skill, because it benefits everybody.

And so the construction continues.

The house was made easily, as for the wall of the entire kingdom they decided to do it later, they were tired, and their journey was taxing. They finally can say that this was their house.

They settled in quickly.

"Finally, my kingdom is being made." Dave smiled.

He is excited by the prospect of the kingdom, also the impact when the kingdom is not hidden anymore.

Will it shock the entire continent, or would it get destroyed instantly? None knows.

Suddenly Neal from behind him patted Dave, "How is it king? It's a beautiful sight, isn't it?" Neal asked him.

"Are you talking about the dancing women or the kingdom?" Dave joked.

Then they both laughed.

"Honestly, I never thought I would make my own kingdom, it's just surprising I thought I would be just like what my father said, hiding forever away from all the conflict." Dave is reminiscing.

"Life is unpredictable, but isn't that fine? We are doing this for the better of the world. You took that one step that many people don't dare, just like taking half-beast people and making them your own subject, you're not afraid of changes."

Neal then got up and then said, "Why don't you take a rest? Tomorrow would be a new day for your coronation."

"That's true... But let me enjoy this a bit more."

"Well, sure no one is going to stop you anyway, I will go to bed first then, since my old bones are already tired, haha." Neal then left.

As he was going to get up, he saw Elena standing right beside him.

'How long has she been there?' Dave was Speechless, he almost jumped and slashed Elena from instinct...

"How long have you been there?" Dave asked, because Elena was so stealthy just like a goddamn assassin, Did Neal even see her?

"I just arrived when Neal was gone." She listlessly explained.

Now that Dave thinks about it, this was the first time he had a proper conversation with Elena. He remembered that only Elena believed that Dave was going to come out the mines eventually, How did she know that? And when in the forest, she is the one with the least surprise when Dave got back.

"How do you know that I would come out of the mines?"

"God revelation."

"Then how about the forest?"

"God revelation."

Is all you know is God Revelation? Right I forgot that I want to ask what exactly the god she worships.

"Could you tell me more about your god?"

Elena eyes sparkled " I worship the god of light, you might not know this, but "He" will come to this world and shine light to this continent, "He" is the most benevolent of all gods, from the scripture he will give you you chance to reform when you die, "He" will help to those in needs, and he won't ask for sacrifice or anything like that."

'She suddenly becomes a different person when she is talking about her God' But then he realizes something.

God, who gives you a chance to reform when you die? The most benevolent of all gods? "He" seemed oddly familiar... Wait, the God he met when he died? Does that mean "He" want's Dave to become his emissary? Maybe.

He decided to probe deeper "So what exactly did God say? Why did you follow me?"

"The god said that you will become the Most benevolent ruler and will bring light to this world."

So it really is the same God...

With his answer both of them fell into silence.

This is awkward...

"How about we walk around?" Dave suggested.

"Sure."

Elena seemed back to his usual self...

They walked around the kingdom, many people greeted them all. He got a fresh feeling when those people earnestly greeted him, rather than just greet them because of his superior job.

'If only I stopped abusing my worker, this might happen and we would be chatting together in a restaurant talking about our project, rather than getting killed by them.' He sighed in regret. He wished he could return to that time, but he can only regret what he had done wrong in the past.

"I really was a bastard back then." He spoke in a self-deprecating tone.

"God says do not look to the past, look at the future that you will change into a different person."

"Are you comforting me?" Dave blinked his eyes.

"Yeah, and you know if you really are Bastard then what about those other kingdoms? A devil?" she chuckled.

"That's true." Dave then laughed.

Dave wanted to ask about her past, but he didn't think this would be a good time to ask, since this was the first time he got a proper conversation with Elena.

After walking around for a while, Dave was finally sleepy, he then said his goodbye to Elena, he then decided to hit the bed.

In the morning he felt refreshed, he was ready for the coronation.

The building was huge, but not as much as other kingdoms and almost everything is made of wood unlike other kingdoms. The palace is not that majestic. There are wooden pillars lined up inside the building, and then there is the throne.

There Elena was waiting. She was the Archbishop that will put the crown in Dave's head.

He walked forward to Elena, then kneeled.

Yesterday they were thinking to just put the crown and be done with it, but Elena volunteered to do it, since she was an Archbishop, when she revealed that everyone was shocked, they never thought she was an Archbishop, with that none objected to it.

"In the Name of God Of Light, do you swear that you will always take care of you people? And take responsibilities to protect them from harm?"

"Yes, In the name of God Of Light, I, Euris Akath, swear to take care of my people, and be responsible to all my subjects."

"Then you shall be crowned as the king, I hereby give you a title of Benevolent Ruler." She then put a golden crown on Dave's head.

And then everyone clapped.

Suddenly a burst of light fell into Dave.

"This... The God Of Light is giving him a blessing." Elena didn't know this would happen.

Everyone kneeled.

This was the blessings of god! They didn't dare to raise their heads.

Dave was shocked, but he gotta finish the coronation.

He then sat on the throne.

"At this moment you are to become the long lost Akath king, and the name of the kingdom shall be Akath Kingdom!" Elena announced.

The day has finally come.
