12 No where to go but up!

The next day, my body was sore but I gathered my strenght to finish all my work so I could finally go to Bella's shop. I needed to give this proposal to my department's VP and I was done for the day.

I entered his room and he told me to lock the door. "Why does the door need to be locked?" I asked. He stood on his chair and locked it by himself.

VP: Gregory, our senior analyst quit. It was unexpected but as they say, the show must go on. I want you to handle his accounts from now on.

Emily: I dont know what to say.. Thank you. I wasn't expecting any of this. Are you sure you want me to do his job? I mean I am very new here.

VP: Why not? I am very aware that you just started working in here. I've been monitoring your progress and I'm impressed. You are a fast learner. I will give you time to decide if you want the job or not.

Emily: Of couse, I will be so happy. When can I start?

VP: Go to my place this evening. We will discuss. everything in there. Im on the 34th floor of Bluevue Tower. You can go now and I will see you later.

Right then and there, Emily knew what it was all about. Similar with Carlos, this VP guy wanted use her in return for job promotion.

" I wonder if he knew about me and Carlos" she said to herself.

Just several months ago, no one would even notice her at work but now, powerful men liked to sleep with her. A boost of her ego but somehow, her conscience was telling her not to be a whore because she can achieve great things without selling her body. Yet she knew what she wanted and this time, she wouldn't let anything including her conscience to stop her from working her way up to the ladder.
