7 Status

I opened my eyes, I was on a sofa in the church. Hestia was sleeping on me, the paper with my status in her hands.

I took it and looked at its content.

I don't think that this kind of status is normal... Is it a little bit overpowered? Me and grandpa thought that my eyes gave me my body power but finally its natural? So how can I level up now? I thought that with my body strength and with the goddess blessing I would automatically level up... I need to go to the dungeon, maybe I will need to kill monsters, maybe minotaurs. Let's equip my gear and talk to Eina maybe she will have information about the leveling up. Let's go!

Unknown to Bell, Hestia was waking up and took a glimpse at his status page. She passed out immediately after.

As I went to the guild, I passed in front of the inn. I talked a bit with Syr, she was a bit worried because I didn't sleep there last night but I quickly explained about my new goddess and she forgave me, she even gave me a lunch box. She is so sweet!

At the adventurer guild Eina was there, and she was talking with one of her colleague.

When she saw me she quickly left her co-worker and went to me.

"Hello Bell what can I do for you this morning? Did you find your Familia?"

"Heoo Eina and yes I four Hestia, she already blessed me. And I just have a question, how can an adventurer level up?"

"With the falna blessing, the adventurer weed to do action like killing monsters, saving other people, depending of you choice of job. Some sort of points will go in your tattoo on your back and after sometime and often when it's a huge event like killing a monster stronger than you, saving all your team you level up. But it's recommended to be at least A in some stats before thinking about the next level. Otherwise even if you level up you will not be able to become powerful enough to kill monsters if they are on you level. But it's more like speculations, we don't really know how this work. Some people think it's because of your will, others because of the stress... Personally I think it's because of achievement. All the adventurers I know leveled up after battling with a powerful monster."

" Thanks Eina, that will really help me! "

" And Bell, don't go lower than the level 2,its your first day, you need to be careful. "

" I will see Eina, thanks for the advice. "

So now I need to go to the dungeon. I read that the first floors have goblins, lizards and kobold. I already fight monsters like that in my training but grandpa said that the monsters in the dungeon are a lot stronger than outside. So let's go check that strength.

I pass through the big door of the dungeon, and after half and hour I in front of stairs, with my bag filled with monster core. It's a real disappointment, monsters are very weak. I need to go deeper.

I'm now on the fourth floor, three kobold are in front of me. I just run to them and slash 2 of them with my large sword and stab the last one with my stiletto in the chest. Their core fell down at my foot.

I picked them and continued my trip. After 2 hours and dozens of monsters I started to become hungry. I waited until I was in front of the 5th floor stairs before sitting and eating my lunch box. I'm glad that Syr gave it to me, it's so good!!!

Beginning from the 5th floor, I saw new ants like monsters. I hope that their core will sell well because my bag is full of cores now. I think that I need to go back now, my bag was too little for me, I will need a new one. I heard about some space bags that have infinite place in them. But they surely are very expensive.

On my way back I saw others monster, adventurers sometimes too. But nothing really new. On the 3rd floor one team of 6 adventurers wanted to steal my bag... It was really quick, they had only one level 2 and the rest were weakling.

I just punched them to knock them out and left them there. If they are lucky they will survive without problems. And if a goblin pass there, let's hope for the best! But I will not have pity for them. If they tried to steal me, who said that they didn't steal before and killed maybe.

I am now on the first floor and saw some adventurers battling goblins. They are strong enough for this kind of monsters so I quickly walked away. Grandpa didn't tell me how boring the dungeon can be. Or maybe the lower floors are more interesting? I will se toworrow, for now let's go to the guild and recuperate money.

I enter the guild and quickly walked to Eina.

She asked me how was my day.

"Boring."

"Why boring? It's your first day in the dungeon, wasn't it exciting?"

"Not really, the monsters were so weak and the lack of anything new was just tiring. But I got a lot of cores so maybe this trip will not be totally for naught."

"Can you take out the cores and I will exchange them for you. And if you are that strong maybe you will be able to go to the third floor tomorrow, at the end of the week you will go to the fourth or even the fifth!"

" Euh... Talking about that..."

"Don't tell me that you went to the third floor!"

"I went to the fifth." I answered in the tiniest voice possible.

"Sorry? I didn't hear you, I just understood that you went on the 5th floor. So can you repeat please?"

"I really went to the fifth floor, but don't worry it was safe, all the monsters were weak."

"You could have met a swarm of ants and... "

"I met one"

"What??? How many of them were there?"

"I don't really know, I didn't count them but I would say one third of the ant cores in my bag."

"And you killed them?"

"Of course! What else could I have done?"

"FLEE!!!"

"But they are not strong at all!"

"I DON'T CARE!!! ENOUGH ADVENTURERS DIED BECAUSE OF MISPLACED PRIDE!"

"Don't worry I will not die, I'm strong enough to survive anywhere."

"I don't care about you anymore!"

"Tsundere"

"What did you say?"

"Nothing at all, here are my cores, is there any place where I can place my backpack?"

"Why should you need any place? Isn't my counter enough?"

"I fear that some will roll down everywhere."

"For big raid we have a room with a special scale."

"Let's go there then"

She took my hand and lead me to the back. In the small room there is a big box where I put my cores. It will automatically and rapidly count them, and categories them by monster origin.

After a moment we saw the result of my day of work.

Eina is shocked. Her glasses fell down. She ignores them and just approach the box.

"130926 valis... It's more than a month of work for small teams... How did you do that?"

"I run in the dungeon and killed all the monsters that I saw, what took the longest is when I need to pick up the cores. If not for that I would have done more than double the amount."

"How?"

"As I said.."

"Not that! How are you so strong when you were just blessed!!"

"I trained a lot and my body allowed me to become stronger than a average adventurer."

"Take your money and don't come back today, I need sleep this matter over, maybe I will ask for a leave... 3 days at home will be good..."

"Are you okay Eina?"

"HOW CAN I BE???"

"Okay okay, I will go, thanks for caring about me!!! See you! "

"Yes bye... " she replied still in a daze.

I took my purse, and went to the inn to thank Syr and give her back her box. Maybe I will ask her to cook that every day, it was so good!

The dinner was very good too, mama Mia even gave me a glass of alcohol for free to celebrate my first dive in the dungeon.

After eating and laughing with the girls of the inn I went to the church to see Hestia.

" So how are you today goddess?" I asked her.

"Hello Bell, I'm fine, just surprised by your status... Just answer me, why did you choose me? You could have gone everywhere, no god would have rejected you so why me? I'm just new, I don't have money neither backing, so why? "

I took her in my arms.

"Because we are family Hestia."
