2 Way home

Everything will be fine Paul you can do it, I encouraged myself and opened the door with a friendly smile.

But when I opened the door I was completely shocked. In front of me is a man almost two meters tall in a suit that is perfectly adapted to his muscular body. The man had white hair and you could see that he had lived for a couple of years, but still his presence and demeanor was overwhelming.

"May I come in?"

The man asks me in his deep, but very friendly-sounding voice.

I could only stutter.

"Yes of course."

The man enters and makes his way to the sofa. In the meantime he takes off his black jacket and sits down in the middle of the large sofa. In order not to be too pushy, I sit down on the armchair across from him.

Before the man could begin to say anything, the question popped out of my mouth.

"Why did you adopt me of all people?"

"You know boy."

The man said thoughtfully.

"Because you are my only grandson."

What! Who are you kidding here? My parents are dead and they never mentioned my grandparents.

"From the face you are doing, I assume that you don't believe me, but it's true anyway."

Anyone would say something like that.

"Look, the chain on your neck, take it out."

Although I wasn't sure, I did what he said.

"The symbol on the amulet is the same as on my ring."

He showed me his hand with the ring on it. And in fact, the same symbol was on both objects. I got my necklace as a present from my mother on my 10th birthday just before she passed away. So I was a little careful.

"What kind of symbol is that?"

"Ah Paul you still don't believe me, but that's not that bad. The symbol is our family coat of arms. It shows a pen writing a card with blood in front of an angel that, according to legend helped our family get our special blood when our ancestor killed her and drank her holy blood."

Ugh what a weird story for such a strange symbol. I doubt the story is true, but I don't really care.

"Ok enough chatting, get ready and take your most important things with you, I'll be waiting outside in the car for you."

I didn't have much anyway, so I went to my room and put a few items of clothing and collectible figures in my backpack. Saying goodbye to my supervisors and "siblings" was not so easy, but what should I do?

I finally left the house. I turned one last time to take a look at the house I've stayed in for the past four years.

If I went to the car of the old man who was apparently my grandfather, I was not picked up in a white van with the label free candy, as I expected, but in a black Rolls-Royce.

The door opened and I only heard my grandpa calling for me from inside. So I decided to get in there. When I saw the interior I was really amazed. While Rolls-Royce is no longer considered the best, what I saw is still worlds better than the interior of any other car I've seen inside.

"Where are we going?"

"Home."
