10 Assassins

It's around 7 PM right now and we left the inn sneakily---well not really. The three of them have their luggages with them, thankfully it's kind of small so when we walked out the inn, we didn't got much attention. More likely that we're being ignored because this escape was known in advance.

"We still have some time before we are picked up by our people. Let's go and look around shall we?" Joie said and happily pulled me towards the market place. I know their plan and I can just stay back at the inn, but I kind of feel restless not seeing them to safely leave. We walked around the place and they still dotes on me. Buying me a lot of things, which I can't reject since they really insist I accept. So I just did, while I observe my surroundings.

Because apparently, we are being watched by people. Which I'm pretty sure, doesn't have a good intentions.

"Isn't it time for you guys to depart?" I said cautiously. The three of them looked at me with sad faces. Which taken me off guard a bit.

"Well, yeah.. but are you sure you are not to leave? You did got Trushen's attention so she might make your life in palace a living hell." Said Joie. I smiled.

"I know, but we been through this earlier. Which I also told you guys to be less reckless with your action. Don't engage in other's business too much, Resi. Don't be easily provoke, Joie. Have a little more courage, Ella. I cherish the short time I spent with you guys so I want you to all remember what I said, okay?" I said and smiled to them. They looked at me with tears in their eyes. I felt those guys following us getting closer.

"And no matter what happens next, trust me... and just run!" I said and urge them to run. Which they did. I noticed the movements of those who are following us. There are 6 people in total. I can do this. I just need to get them to their carriage.

"Tell me the way, Joie." I said as we run. We're not fast, but I think those guys wouldn't dare to attack us in this many people.

" W-why are we being followed? Are they people from the Palace?" Resitaire who got the situation quick.

"I don't know, but I'm pretty sure they don't have a good intentions. Let's hurry to your people." I said to them as Joie pointed to a direction. I hope I can handle them when we got to unpopulated streets.

I looked back and saw that there are some people who apprehended the guys following us.

"It seems that some of our people have noticed them." Said Joie and smiled. I sighed in relief. Thankfully they have guards following them, but they sure do made me nervous for a bit there.

"Here, after this we'll see our carriage and some people AHHHHHH--" I looked back and saw Effreila and Resitaire held hostage by people in black. Assassins? Can I do this? I looked at Joie ready to fight but I can see she's a bit scared. We just need to hold on until their guards can catch up to us.

"Who are you guys?" I asked. They looked at me and smiled.

"There's no use in buying time, they won't be here soon. Which is enough time for us to kill you." One of the guy said. I looked around and noticed that there are three guys. Two in our front and one at the back.

"I saw Miss Trushen contact some people. It seems that it's you guys." I said being very cautious not to let them touch Joie.

"Hmmm. You're smart. You were also the one to notice us first. It would be a waste to just kill you.. what about we bargain? We'll let your friends off, in exchange you'll come with us." Said by seemingly the leader of the assassin. To be honest I was just bullshiting this, but It seems that Kid Cassidy was twisted enough for her to send assasin to kill me.

I looked at Effreila and Resitaire scared to death as they feel knifes in their neck.

"Fine.. just let them go first." I said and raised my hands up.

"Okay, we'll release them." The leader said and let Effreila go. Resitaire was also released. I looked at Joie to get them and run out of here.

"Go. I'll be fine." I said in a low voice and smiled at them. Joie with tears in her eyes held Effreila and Resitaire then run away passing the assasin at our back.

"That's smart of you...not smart enough though!" The leader immediately leaped forward to attacked me. I figured much. Of course, Miss Trushen wouldn't kill the three. If I somehow bullshitted the answer, what more it can be for the powerful clans?

"Reen.. Reen no!"

"REEN!"

I saw the leader leaping towards me. Knives first which are aiming for my neck. I can do this. I lifted my hands and grabbed to the assassin's arm. He was suprised and tried to kick me in the chest, but I avoided it while not realising his hands. I broke his arms by bending it to my legs. He shouted in pain and released his knives. Which I picked one up and thrown one to the guy following the leader. I hit his knees which made him stopped on his track.

"You brat!" I narrowedly avoided the one coming from the back thus I was sliced in my right arm. I saw Joie who came back. The other guy noticed her thus tried to attacked her.

"JOIE!" I run towards them and jump in between. I pushed Joie forward and tried to avoid the assassin's attack, but I was still slashed in my right arm

"N-No.. R-Reen.. I'm sorry!" Joie said. I pushed her away and blocked the leader's kick. It was followed by another slash attacked by the other guy, but this time I manage to avoid it and counter by kicking the leader in the stomach. Where the other guy was also thrown away by being at back of the leader when I kicked him away.

They both looked at me as they stand up and was about to attacked again when voices was heard.

"Over there! Please! Help our friends!"

I looked back and saw Resitaire and Effreila with some of their men and guards. The assassin immediately escaped. Some guards followed, while some Men protected the three. Ah.. This kids. Why must they never listen to me?

"Reenste!"

"Reen!"

I felt my consciousness slipping away. Ahhh.. I'm sleepy.
