Floor Monster Spotlight

I want to sleep but people are still here, help me. It's 2 o'clock in the morning which I did not suspect to happen. It's my fault I suppose I should've didn't have the guts to tell people to leave due to me being greedy and wanting money.

The first group of people that stayed late were the drunks. They drank so much ale that they passed out in their chair and even on the floor. It took me a while to wake those people up, some I yelled at to wake up while others I had to take drastic measures with and shake them awake.

Even it I woke them up they were so drunk that they couldn't stand for more than five seconds before falling down. I could have just walked them to the door and left them outside to fend for themselves but that didn't feel right to me. Instead I walked them all to the place they were staying which took a little while but I was glad I did it. They all thanked me as best they could with them being drunk.

The second group of people were the depressed ones. They consist of men who had some sad things happen to them like their girlfriend braking up with them or a friend or family member passing. I was going to make them Leave but they were so sad I just couldn't do it.

Instead I decided to help them with their feelings and talk to them about their hardships. Some how we all formed what I could only describe as a manly sharing circle. It really helped them to talk to people that shared their pain. In the end they all apologized for taking up my time and they all left as friends which I hope does them some good.

I then started getting ready to close as I thought no one was here which I was quite relieved of. I then look around and get scared of a man sitting at a table. Interesting I thought as the hairs on my arm stood up, seems like my interest overpowered my fear. The man looked a tad short not a dwarf just on the short side. He also looked fat but from what I could tell not from food, he just had a beer belly.

He wasn't overly drunk even though he had four beer mugs next to him and didn't seem sad so I decided to wait for him to finish before closing up. So I waited for what I assumed would be a few quick minutes.

…<—(Land owned by Pandoras_Actor)

He hasn't left yet, why hasn't he left yet! He has only finished two of his mugs of beer ,how long does it take to drink it. Because of this man I have to stay up for a extra hour, I can't take it. Doesn't he realize that him being here is ruining my sleep. I think the lack of sleep is getting to me as I'm quite mad. After I got the alarm clock I stopped using mana to keep me awake as I feel it will be bad on prolonged use.

I then went up to him and said in the politest tone I could muster, "Hello I'm closing up so could come back tomorrow." He said in a aggressive tone, "Don't you know how hard my life is? I invested all my money at a different bar and my wife is useless with her never doing what I ask correctly. Why should you tell me I have to leave? I'll stay as long as I want."

I was speechless at how selfish he was and I couldn't talk to him anymore as I felt that if I stayed any longer I wouldn't have been able to control my emotions. So I walked away and muttered under by breath, "Piece of Trash." That's right I said trash he's as trashy as the rotten fruit in my trash can. Excuse my rough language but I have no reason to be polite to someone who isn't kind to me or others. I didn't care for him as even if he stole something it can be replaced so I went to bed to get some deserved and wanted sleep.

(Meanwhile: Unlucky Man's POV)

How dare try to make me leave when he has it so easily if anything he should've given me some money. Can't do anything about those rich selfish fools, someone needs to put people like him in their place. I need to go home to sleep soon so I'll leave after I finish my beer, I man like him just can't know how to enjoy beer if he thinks you can rush it.

As I was drinking my chair leaned to the side and startled me so I looked down to see what happened. Their was a hole in the floor boards that made one of the chair legs fall into it the wood must be rotten. Even the rich make things cheaply, I might get crushed by the roof caving in at this rate, ha.

I kept on drinking but the chair kept on getting lower I then looked irritatedly at the hole but then what I saw petrified me with fear. The hole was now big enough for it to engulf the entire chair but the chair didn't fall into it. Now that it was big I realized that the hole was pitch black like it was darkness itself. It was almost as if the chair was standing on shadows that were inside the hole.

I urgently jumped off the chair as I was afraid of what would happen to me if I stayed on the chair. I was right, as I looked back the entire chair fell into it and is now gone. It had sharp splinters on the side which made it look like it split open making it look as if it had teeth. Then the hole started moving towards me. I tried to make it stop by throwing my two beers into it but it didn't stop and continued rushing towards me.

I panicked and ran around trying to think of what to do. I saw the door and stumbled to it and slammed them open letting me leave. At first I thought I was safe but the hole then moved outside. Now that it was outside though it was no longer made of wood but instead made of the road which was stone. The hole now had sharpened, jagged spikes of stone.

I kept running as hard as I could trying to get away from it I ran for a long time before even attempting to look back to look at it. When I looked back it was gone making me happy that I was going to leave alive. I then turned back straight while running to find my way home. However when I looked forward it was right in front of me. I tried to stop in time but I couldn't and slipped into it.

I kept on falling forever, but after look around in the darkness I realized that I was just looking floating I think as everything was black and it was hard to tell. Their must be a way out for me to escape from, right?

(Don't worry for the family of this man as this unfortunate ending has a happy beginning. After his wife realized that her husband wasn't coming back home again she was happy as he was a burden on her and she was free to do anything she wanted to do. She started sowing and turned it into a business and would forever life a peaceful life, THE END.)

(Kumo's POV)

I just woke up and it's now morning and I have decided to not let my feelings affect my actions as it could be bad for business. I wondered if that man was still here so I went downstairs to see. When I looked there he was gone, I then went to look for any missing items that he might've taken.

After a thorough search I counted two wooden mugs missing and a single chair. I can kind of understand stealing a few mugs but really, a chair what would he do with that? If I was that desperate to get a place to sit I would just sit on a box or the floor.

I then easily used my skill to replace all the missing items that the apparently desperate man stole. He could have heard me call him trash, that may have been one of the reasons he took them which would be my fault. I personally don't think he heard me as I mumbled it very softly but I do think that it was a little karma that caused him to do it.

Not a dog deal though I just have to hope I won't see him again the next time I get some more customers. I also wonder if I can do something about the lack of space for the customers. After all this is only the first customer rush so I don't want to know what will happen when word really gets out.

On that note I continued the cycle of my life and waited for more customers and maybe a little more action.

This novel is now on the ‘new release’ tab which is another hit milestone.

Also for the ‘…,’ rules it can either be already ‘owned’ by a person of my choosing. Or it can be ‘free land’ which can be settled who gets it by commenting on it.

Have a great day!
