Meeting Mr Green

Yes! Today was the day I will be joining GreenTECH! I had worked all my life for this! Nothing- no one can stand in my wa-

"Caitlyn!! Will you stop talking to yourself. Today is your big day. C'mon head down for breakfast" My roommate, Emma said.

Emma was the best of friends I ever had, ok mabye the

only friend I'd ever had.

"Yeah sure, I'll be there" I said and watched her leave.

Emma was a really unique girl, she was so motherly to me but she had a lot of teen in her.

I wore a sleek casual uniform, it was okay...I guess. I had saved up money to buy it.

I had let my hair down and wore my glasses.

I went down to have my breakfast and headed to catch a cab but a car pulled in front of me.

"Need a ride?" Gabe asked, oh did I forget to mention him?

Emma is not my only friend infact but I have two awesome ones!

"Sure, thanks" I said stepping into the car.

Before I knew it we had reached a tall building that kissed the sky, bodly written GreenTechs on top.

I stared in awe at the beauty of this place, I had only seen it on tv or magazines and others. Turns out it was even more beautiful than I thought.

"Ready?" I turned to Gabe, "I think the butterflies just kicked in!" I said.

Gabe gave me a reassuring smile, "You'll do great" He winked and I smiled back. "Thanks"

He drove off and I was left alone. I walked to the receptionist.

"Name?"

"Um, Caitlyn Lawrence"

"I'm sorry, your'e name's not here" she said checking her nails and chewing some gum.

"Are you sure? because-"

"Caitlyn Lawrence?" I heard a voice

"Yes?" I turned around to see a lady some years older than me mabye 30 something.

"Follow me"

I scrambled after her and held my papers close to my chest.

Oh gosh! oh gosh! She must be taking me to Mr Green!

We stopped at a large, wide door. She gestured for me to go in and turned to leave.

I stared at the door for some seconds before attempting to push it.

I used to much force because before I knew it my papers went flying everywhere and I fell to the floor.

I saw a hand infront me, "You okay?" SHIT! that voice was beautiful, it melted me right there.

"Um yeah, Thank you" I looked up to see the most handsome guy my eyes had laid on.

"Mr Green! I-"

"Call me Karter"

"What? I mean- yes MR Gr- I mean Karter"

I got my papers and Mr Karter rather, gestured for me to sit down.

"So let me see your degree" He said and I passed it to him.

I decided to study him..., He was young, mabye 24? He had dark hair and piercing blue eyes.

"Miss Lawrence, I am sorry to say but you can't work at GreenTechs"

My mouth hung open, WHAT?

This can't be happening! My dream- my-my

I straightened my glasses and tried to keep tears from pouring out.

"But" He said, " I can apply you to be my personal assistant, that's if you want"

I needed to think about this, "Sir I-I need more time to think"

"Oh! I'm not going to rush you but when your'e ready-" He said and pulled a card from his pocket. "Call me" I nodded.

I stood up, took my papers, and was about to walk out when he called for me, "Come for a coffee tomorrow" I just simply nodded and walked out. Atleast there was still hope for me.....

"So? How did it go?" Emma said as she pulled from the hug.

"Not good" I slopped on the couch and covered my face with my palms.

"Aw, what happened?"

"He said I was not qualified"

"WHAT?! You? not qualified?!"

"I know"

"Girl , you are the smartest most intelligent person I've ever met"

"Thanks Emma" I said while putting my glasses aside.

"But he gave me to work as his assistant"

"Really!? Oh my gosh! What'd you say?"

"I told him, I need to think so he gave me his phone number"

"Geez Caitlyn! You should've said yes! but if that's what you want...it's all on you"

"He also called me for coffee tomorrow morning" I said while standing up.

"Wait! Really?!" Emma pulled me back down, "Oh my gosh!"

"What?"

"He likes you"

"Emma! Inviting someone for coffe doesn't mean anything. You are delusional"

"I'm gonna order pizza for tonight"

"Sure, I'm gonna finish the rest of my work" I said heading to my room.

"Hello miss, we are going to party!" Emma jumped up and down.

"Nuh-uh Em, not today. Please"

"Ugh! Fine, I'm going with Jacob. See ya"

I walked into my room and switched on the lights. I changed into my grey hoodie and short knickers and did some homework.

There was nothing else to do so I daydreamed about Mr Green....
