15 Cain Morris

Ella hesitates but from seeing the boy's pale and weak complexion she holds one of the boy's hand as a bright yellow light glow dimly from where she touched. The light makes her seems to remember something. Inside a room FULL of books... she was also touching...

Coughing noise could be heard from the boy. Drizella wondering mind came back as she set down his legs and rolled up his three layers of pants. Checking the circulation from his leg, she can feel a good pulse.

Knocking could be heard outside of the carriage as Drizella finish checking. She gently dropped the legs of the boy as she walks to open the small window curtain. She saw three people looking back at her with red cheeks and big grins. They were holding the items she asks them to get. She opens the carriage door for each of them to enter and get comfy. Ella's knight closes the door as he stays out in the winter cold.

She instructed Endy to bring the boy to a sitting position as she handed her a cup of warm water from Emma. She stakes up two more blankets on the boy to keep him warm then distributed the other blankets around each person. The two nice, neat, and clean blankets, she handed to Ella and Marguerite while the others she gives to Endy, Emma, Clara, Gray, Stan, and herself. With another blanket left, she opens the door again and handed the knight the blanket without talking and only nodding. Drizella doesn't know if the knight understands her meaning but she didn't really care. She just doesn't want blames of treating others badly.

The boy warmed his hands as he held the cup in his hands. The warmth travel from his hand to his arms giving him a shiver.

Emma pours more warm water to each cup as Drizella handed them out. Feeling that it's inapposite to eat inside a nice looking carriage like this one Clara didn't hand out the food.

Drizella handed the warm cups to the two noble ladies, "Sorry for acting out of line."

"It fine..."

"Of course you should be! Bringing me here and leaving me alone as you do your thing. Know your place as a commoner... What's wrong with him." Marguerite interrupted Ella's sentence with her own opinions.

"Yes. Yes. He's fine for now but you should take him to the hospital for a quick checkup. He just has hypothermia which can be deadly if it reaches the third stage. Who would've thought the boy would be so stubborn as to take his two layers of clothes off and leave only the thin layer on. ...I never ask but what's your name. I...we can't keep calling the boy, he, or little boy forever." Drizella answer as she went to get herself a cup of warm water.

Everyone, there was more confused with her words. They don't really understand what she was going on about only that he should have a doctor look at him. The only one to answer is the boy, he replied weakly, "Cain Morris."

Ella asks for another cup of warm water as she opens the carriage door again and handed the knight a cup with a kind smile.

...

The carriage dropped Marguerite to where her father's carriage is waiting for her before they deported again.

"Papa. Did you ask that poor commoner to help me." Marguerite sulking said as she sits on the other side of the carriage with her father. The carriage was much nicer than Ella's as there's a three-tiered stand holding desserts and warm drinks. There is also a maid inside sitting near the stand to pour more warm drinks. If Drizella was here she'll believe this carriage is the model for the RV cars.

"Yes. Papa did. The girl with the peach dress has a nice attitude." Micheal Bachhuber answers his daughter.

Marguerite: "She's too weird and wild."

Micheal: "It's to your liking. Whose carriage were you in?"

Marguerite shrugged, "I don't know. The girl called her Ella. She has very beautiful blond hair and a pair of blue eyes like the ocean. Also, she's very beautiful but not as beautiful as me."

Micheal nodded having an idea of who the girl is. He didn't think that girl would be able to make friends with Marquess Tremaine's only daughter so quickly and have his daughter's liking so fast. It's only the first time they meet and she a commoner has made relations with a Marquess and Duke's house.

...

"Thank you for taking us here," Drizella and the other bow as they prepare to leave.

Ella nodded her head as she said, "Thank you for helping me today."

They walk around the square of the capital looking at the items people sell even though the weather is so bad. There are winter foods but the most are clothing stores and big or luxurious restaurants. Each step they take there will be another step echoing behind them making them wonder if they are being stalked.

Clara was the only one who didn't notice as she was still very curious about the square. She closes in on Drizella asking a question that all of them wanted to know, "Why did Cain give up after so much struggling. I have a feeling he won't give up at all but after Ella talk to him he did. Why!"

Drizella responds, "It's easy. Notice he's always looking at someone during the whole fight. If you make a guess, it's understandable Cain has a master and he as the 'slave' is following order. Now turn the situation to you, would you give up to live or freeze to death while still young. If it's me, I'll choose to live whether than die over a trivial fight. So the only reasonable reason is that this master threatens to take his life or hold something important. It can't be his life since he'll die if he doesn't give up so it's the other... holding something important and that something isn't an object but a person and that person is his sister. Now if someone offers a better deal... such as letting you and your sister work for her but promise better treatments."

"Hehe. Your oldest daughter really is smart for her age."

"Please, I don't need you to tell me."

Drizella blinks her eyes remembering the second voice. She turns her head to see a kind smiling face staring at her. She runs to the person, throwing herself right into her bosom: "Mama! Mama! I miss you so much."

Camilla patted her back, "I do too. Where's your sister?"

Drizella: "We are just going to meet them. Were mama and this guy tailing us?"

Camilla: "I'm surprised my daughter notice. Let's go meet your sister."

Marquess Tremaine was finally dumbfounded, he murmured to himself, "Never thought Camilla would have this side when facing her own children."

The two knights wanted to yell out--AREN'T YOU THE SAME TOO!-- but are too afraid of the consequences.

...

After a long while of walking, they arrive at the teleport gate. The teleport gate is just like it sound. It's a gate like structure holding a swirling blue circle in the middle. On the two columns of the gate are four magic symbols. This was different from the scroll since it doesn't take people to their specific destination whether to the town you selected. However, the town has to have a teleporting gate too, to make it work and the teleporting gate is rather expensive. The only time it's free of charge is for the Awakening Ceremony but there'll be knights guarding the teleporting gate. The knights are necessary to guard against criminals and accidents from happening.

As they reach the teleporting gate, they saw Ella elegantly standing near the column wall waiting for someone. Just as Clara was about to call out to her, Ella looks at them and ran towards them. Having the posture of a lady, she greeted them and from hearing her calling the man 'Papa', they were all surprised. They never thought that a man this young would turn out to be a father... but then again... the five children turn to Drizella and her mother... it's possible. Maybe only their parents marry late, aren't young anymore, and aren't good-looking so... they look old, unlike these two's parents. They could only sigh but realize that the two knights are also sighing.

The two knights of the Marquess felt stares so they look to find the five children looking at them with sympathy.

"Yooh! Finally done with the Awakening Ceremony." Matthew's voice could be heard as he runs to where they are. He asks as he looks at Drizella, his granddaughter, "What did you get from your egg."

Drizella's eyes sparkle and she responded excitedly, "You wanna know?! You wanna know!?"

Matthew felt his granddaughter is acting way too strange but he still nodded his head having high expectation. But his nod scared Emma, Clara, Stan, Gray, and Endy as they begin to sweat and turn their head away.

Drizella waved her hand in the air, "Come here, Coco!" The baby slime taking a nap in her furry cloak's hood, jump right into her arms and she hugged it tightly. She cutely said, "It's Coco cute!"

Matthew paused a bit but seeing his granddaughter so happy he compromise his thoughts. The words that come out are, "Yep, Coco is cute. But why did you name your creature?"

Drizella: "Coco is short for Coconut. And aren't people supposed to name their creature if they get one? Ella named her's."

Ella who was put on the spot nodded as she brings her three mice out from her magic symbol on her left hand. She begins saying their name from the woman to the fattest mice, "Mary, Jaq short for Jacques and Gus short for Octavius."

"Your naming sense is better than my daughter. Anyway, I won't let you have a slime as your contracted spirit. It won't be able to protect you at all, it's just trash." Camilla declared.

Matthew tried to claim her down but Drizella argues back, "You don't understand anything. There is no trash spirit, only trash people in the world!"

Marquess Tremaine intervenes, "How about training the slime for a year and if it's still weak we'll think of something else. By the way, your daughter is married to me now."

He dropped such a bomb so easily, everyone has faces of a dog going into labor especially Drizella's face. She looks like she is about to pass out any minutes now.

"A..anyway, let's discuss this at home. Stacey and Amilia are waiting too. ...Oh! Forgot to mention Stacey pick up a lost puppy before going home." Matthew somewhat calmly said.

Lost puppy?
