2 meeting the old Gods

year: 12,300B.C

A/N: Guys David is like a 21-year-old but when it comes to these things of magic and making deals he is very naive, you will see later on in the chapter how Naive he is when he makes promises that have loopholes in them.

As I was led to a massive weirwood tree, I was immediately drawn to the carved face of a man on its surface. Looking around, I noticed more of these enigmatic trees. Recalling the History of Westores, I knew the old Gods were often silent, communicating through signs to forewarn of significant events. I vividly remembered the scene of deer antlers inside a dire wolf, a chilling omen that was now etched in my memory. Suddenly, the face on the tree began to bleed profusely from its eyes, the blood cascading down its wooden features in a macabre display. The closer I approached, the more blood would pour, until I heard a rustle of movement from behind the tree.

A small being that looked exactly like the children of the forest came from behind the tree. In her hands was the staff, and she wore a feathery crown on her head. Her eyes were white like milk, showing she was blind, but she walked towards me as if she could see everything around her. A woman who was also a child of the forest came. She smelled nice for a child of the forest. All of them released a pheromone that was like perfume to my nose. They had a scent of the forest itself. In their hair were sticks and leaves that were used as decorations. This was their way of living.

I identified the woman as "Green Seer" because she seemed to have a higher status than everyone around her. The people who were around me dared not to look the Green Seer in her eyes. " Hello." I said to them, and all she did was say the words back to me but in a heavy accent. "he llo," she said back to me.

As soon as she said the greeting, she held her throat. the children of the forest did not speak the human tongue and use voices, but rather, they used the wind; they had a frequency with which they spoke to each other in.

After a while of trying to speak to me, she saw that she was not making progress, so she walked up to the Wierwood tree and brought out an Obsidian Dagger. I felt a sense of dread rather than danger when she Brought out the knife and rightfully so, this was a woman who was a messenger of the gods in the human world.

She gestured for me to come forward and handed me the dagger. She trusts me, I thought. As soon as she lent me the dagger, I felt a sense of Danger. Every child was watching me with spears and arrows pointing at me and waiting for me to make a move. and clearly, they did not have the trust that the green seer did.

the woman motioned for me to cut my vein on the tree, and I did. I wanted to know where this would lead and if it would allow me to communicate with the Old Gods.

As I did so, I found that all the noise that was around me stopped. there were no trees around me, there was no fear of the unknown from the children, and the Green seer was gone, and the very tree she stood in front of was gone.

"Are you sure you didn't kill him.?" asked a voice in the far distance, but it came back to me like an echo.

"Yes, I am sure you bastard. Why do you question everything I do?" said a more feminine voice.

Everything here did not make sense. Sound did not normally travel here; at times, you would find it by your ear, and other times, far away.

" Oh, I don't know. Maybe because you know for being reckless even with the children." retorted the earlier voice. " now look, he is awake."

"Hello, who is out there?" I asked. I was nervous. I remembered the last thing I did was cut my wrist and pour my life's blood on the tree, and then I woke up here, in this darkness. " We are here, child. And don't try to find us, you can't if we do not want you to," said an elderly voice.

"So you are the old Gods," I asked, and a feminine voice said, "And you are that mortal who has done this dark magic under our noses."

I rubbed my head and smiled as I heard what she said. " Now, now we both know what he did, and it barely scratches the surface of dark magic. And there is no such thing as dark Magic. There is no light and darkness in Magic. What this human did is that he went against the natural order, but that is all, and as we can see, nature has begun to find a way to allow him to live. " said the elderly voice. This being seemed to be the leader of the faceless gods. and he seemed to be a nice being." ( how wrong he was)

" I will allow this transgression, but he must tell us what he has become. We must know the power of his magic." the feminine voice said.

After she said that David told truths and lies about what he could and could not do, he made himself seem like a weak creature that was immortal, but the old gods would come to regret it later on.

" you drink blood to sustain yourself; is that not true?" the elderly voice asked. "you are right, I do drink blood, but if you think about it, there are going to be a lot of bad people in the world, so I will make this vow that I will only drink blood from Bad people." at that a shimmer went through the void " oooh child don't make vows so easily you know once you make them they can never be broken, all contract are imbued with magic and they will have consequences if you go back on them." the elderly voice said

"Then, it's good because I meant it," I said. After all, many nobles and peasants were not good people; from time to time, you would find people raping and pillaging, and to do that means you are not a good person.

"What do you think, Father, should we allow him to be in our lands?" the feminine voice asked. The elderly one did not answer, but he showed himself. He was a Weirwood tree with millions of faces etched on his surface. His roots were blood red, and his branches were endless. Hanging from them were men, women, and children by a rope. His leaves dripped blood like rain and they fell in the endless void.

This was the true form of the faceless god, but that also begged the question of how the others looked. Were they also as terrifying as this?

"I have tried to see his future, and I see nothing, but I know based on the decision we make today, westores could suffer, or it could prosper. I cannot see him, but I can see those around him.

We will judge him based on his future actions, but for now, we allow his existence." said the weirwood tree.

"I have chosen Vampire, or as you now will be called David Mikealson, that we will accept you in our lands."

A smile grew, knowing I was safe, but I had a favor to ask. "If it's alright with you, could you help me with a small problem?" I felt a shiver go down my spine as I said those words. These beings did not like to be asked favors, "What do you want help with, young one?" said the feminine voice.

This was the one chance god gave me. I remember he said that I would not have magic unless I activated it myself, and this was a good opportunity for me. I thought

"Ever since I became a vampire, I have been unable to use magic. With your permission, could you give me access to it so I can use it like all the creatures of the world?" I said

"What do you think, daughter?" the weirwood tree spoke. " If I activate his magic, I can never take it away, but then again, he has sworn an oath, so I shall indulge him." With a wave of her hand, I felt like a wave from the ocean hit me, and magic entered me, making me rejuvenated.

Go leave from here, mortal. I am surprised he lasted this long in our plane." said the elderly voice; he was nice to me, and all of a sudden, his mood changed after he revealed himself to me. At once, I was kicked out of the weirwood connection. When I woke up I was in a cave and on top of me was a bear hide.

Outside, I could hear the sounds of water and birds singing, and daylight was peaking into the cave. The fauna was amazing here. I stood up from the pile of straws I was lying on and walked out of the cave. Outside were children of the forest playing in the waters and trees. I was about to step forward when a child bumped into me and fell.

I tried to lift the child up, but another hand grabbed him and picked him up. It was a woman, and she looked at me with contempt and left.

"You are an outsider, and we don't take kindly to those." The voice of an old woman came from behind me. A smirk played on my lips as I recognized the voice. "I am not planning on staying long either way, but thank you," I said as I straightened my back and looked behind me to see the Green Seer.

" the old gods have blessed you, but your tongue of the earth is broken. You haven't learned all of it, but I am assuming you can understand it," she said

"Yes, I can understand you, but all of this is from a blessing." I couldn't believe it. "No child, not just any blessing, but the blessing of magic. The tongue of the earth is Magic itself."
