1 CHAPTER 1

In a forest a man with handsome features, wearing a golden white armor embedded in jewels of orange and blue colors, was peacefully sleeping in the middle of the paved streets as if nothing in this world could affect him, the tree leaves that fell from above all seemed to surround him in an orderly fashion, as if he was protected by an invisible shield.

In his hands was a ring with words engraved directly on the metal, a blacksmithing art that could only be done by the most precise of tools or by unique magic. The aura surrounding the ring seemed to occasionally produce waves of energy that harmlessly swept the area, reaching as far as 100 meters away.

Had nothing unusual happened, he would have kept sleeping for quite a few hours, but the sudden sound of a car approaching made him open his eyes almost instantly, although the car was still quite some distance away.

Shaking his head, he tried to catch his breath as sweat poured down his face with each second that passed. Memories of knowledge he never had before were constantly pouring into his head and changing him in many ways, so many that he wasn't even sure if he was still himself at that moment. The memories of his time playing his favorite game overlapped with this weird magical knowledge.

Blinking his eyes, he looked around him trying to understand where he was, his head was hurting quite a lot and it felt like he was having the worst migraine of his life, looking down the road his eyes sharply noticed the approaching vehicle, he couldn't tell what it was made of but the design was way too futuristic for him to even recognize the brand that made it.

It had 6 wheels that looked like they were made of a black material similar to rubber, but at the same time different, the silver glow of the body reflected the sun's rays, but it was still possible to see that the place where the windows should be was blocked by a thick metal plate.

And then you had the mounted light machine gun on top of the car, the man behind it seemed to be wearing a set of armor made out of leather and other materials that gave it a red and gray color.

Even from afar, he could hear the man in the gun speaking to the ones in the vehicle. "There is someone right in front of us, what should we do?" His voice contained with it a sense of urgency you would expect from a man fleeing from a murderer, from time to time his eyes would turn to his back as if he was trying to confirm if there was someone there or not. Someone, probably the person driving said with an exasperated and hoarse voice, it looked like a woman. "Is he armed? If yes then just put a bullet into his head, we don't have time to waste with ambushers, the Gambinos are right behind us if we make a mistake this time we won't be able to arrest this mother fucker and they will slowly torture us until we die!"

Just how terrible was the situation for then, he thought, for some reason he felt empathy for those guys, he could understand them in a subconscious level that he never understood anyone before, they weren't bad people, they were trying to do what is right and were suffering because of that, but what exactly are they doing?

Surprisingly enough, thoughts about were he was and how he got there stopped crossing his mind, he was so immersed in this situation that he just started flowing along with it, exactly like when he was playing with his character and acting like a guide to the lost souls who couldn't even understand how to finish the tutorial of Battlestar: A fresh beginning.

Something in he just incorporated that feeling whenever he was playing a game because he felt like that was his duty, he was a guide for those seeking their path and would help them achieve success if he could, after all, who's better to guide someone to the top if not a pro player that got to the top all by himself?

"This got to be a dream, right? Otherwise..." He looked at his armor and smiled. "I would never be able to do such a thing, it is as if I'm playing a VR game, well, even if it is a dream I might as well play along and make the best of this experience, hopefully, I won't forget it when I wake up."

As the vehicle approached he pointed his hands towards it and in a fraction of a second, he said. "I bend time with the power of my will, may the natural forces obey my commands and do what I ask!" He felt a little bit dizzy as the energy within his consciousness was suddenly consumed and the car just stopped where it was, everyone in it was just stunned for a moment and looked at him with confusion and fear.

Seeing as how he slowly approached them with heavy steps, the man behind the light machine gun panicked and take hold of the weapon, however, no matter how much he pressed the trigger, nothing happened, in his eyes, this guy wearing medieval luxurious armor was working with their enemies and used unknown technology to take control of the car.

Having no other choice, he and the other three left the car and pointed their handguns at him, the woman that wore a helmet different from the others, with a symbol that reminded him of the police was the first to speak, her violet sharp eyes locked at his figure as her firm and strong arms held the gun. "Identify yourself or be prepared to face execution under the laws of Aelius!"

Hearing those words, he smiled and pointed his hand towards them once more, another phrase left his mouth way too fast for them to understand and the weapons were dismantled right in front of them faster than they could blink.

Seeing this terror flashed in their eyes as they slowly backed away with sweat pouring down their faces.

Finding it funny, Jhon the man in medieval armor, decided to role-play his character as he used to in the game. "Greetings mortals, I'm Lothar, guardian of the 7 keys and the former protector of the Holy City."

Hearing his words, everyone was shocked, just what sort of sick game was this guy trying to play, he looks mighty and speaks mighty but why? Could the Gambinos be playing some sort of joke before they kill them?

One of the guys in the group, a man with pink and orange hair, cat-like eyes, and a metal pattern in his face spoke with an enraged face. "What the heck are you talking about you mad bastard! If you wanna kill us, then just do it and stop wasting my time! Come on, I haven't got all morning!" Hearing his words the other also clenched their fists and looked at Lothar with enraged eyes, to kill someone is something, but to go so low and humiliate as well before killing them is outrageous!

"Hahahaha!"

"Why are you laughing you sick bastard!" The woman shouted, as she slowly tried to reach for her reserve gun at her back.

"You guys probably misunderstood me, I'm not your enemy, as I don't have reasons to be, I just wanted to ask your group a few questions, that's all."

"Yeah? We'll see about that!" As soon as she finished her words, she took her gun, pointed at Lothar, and shot, the precision was perfect, the bullet would have hit the middle of his forehead if it wasn't for his physical force shield that was always activated thanks to one of the many enchantments in his ring.

Seeing how he lowered his head after that shot, she thought that she managed to kill him, she was about to go and check when he suddenly looked up at them with a smile on his face.

"What an interesting weapon you have in your hands, it is my first time seeing something like that. What a pity that it isn't strong enough to even scratch the surface of my shield."

Seeing this they fell on their knees, just what the hell was going on here? Who was this guy? What sort of technology would one need to do all those things! At this point, they were already imagining a novel-like background for him. "Captain, do you think he is one of those top mercenaries from Andromeda's solar system?" One of them asked unsure of what to think about the man in front of them. The woman however shook her head and bit her lips before replying. "No, I'm much more aware of the mercenaries situation then you lot, this guy definitely isn't a mercenary, otherwise I would have heard about him already..."
