85 A new companion

Morning came and I had still not gotten any results. It was simply impossible. No! Stuart had done it. If that naive fool could do it then I could easily do it 100 times better... Just not now currently.

At least I had managed to become more adept in my Hyoksi manipulation. Some time in the middle of the night I had decided to give up and experiment. I was now able to form balls of Hyoksi from my palms. Balls of different sizes.

A simple small ball to a ginormous ball of swirling Hyoksi. It had a high destructive power but if I decided to reverse the flow of then the destruction was no joke.

I had experimented even further and applied to my third mode. I found a monster that was peacefully sleeping and had turned it into nothing but tomato paste.

Modes were triggers that I had made that led to different results. You could think of them as forms if you want it.

My strength had increased and I discovered a new thing accidentally. I ate another cold steak and drank some cold tea before continuing on my way.

I met lots of monsters that were blocking my path but I quickly took care of them. They were easy to deal with. I had grown so strong that high end monsters were nothing but fodder for me.

I should be a low end beast currently. I don't know if I should because I have not met a monster that was strong enough to give me a challenge. Even the monsters that boasted of a body and skin tougher than steel stood no chance. I tore them apart like they were paper.

I also saw several teams of people fighting monsters. I somehow always managed to come just in time to see them getting attacked and eaten by the monsters.

I got out of the car as I need to take a leak. I stood in front of a tree and let it out.

'Aaaahhh!'

"HEY YO! WHAT THE FUCK!" I heard a deep voice coming from above me which startled me and I looked up.

I made eye contact with a small naked creature that was 1 feet tall max. It was naked and had long ears and two sets of insect wings. It had small hair and white pupils. It had no genitals whatsoever.

It was a fairy. It was carrying 2 apples and stared at me with disgust.

"Can you not look? It's hard to fin-"

"That's my home. Stop urinating on it."

"I... I can't stop..." I replied. The fairy swooped down and tried dragging me by the ear away from the tree.

"Stop it you idiot!" I shouted. What was wrong with this fairy? Did she or he not have basic manners? Even animals don't attack other animals while they are answering nature's call.

I quickly finished and shook my Johnny before zipping up my trousers.

The fairy was punching and kicking my face but the felt like ant bites. I got into my car and she followed me without noticing and continued hitting me.

"Ok stop it." I shouted at the fairy as I grabbed her and pulled her away from me. "I'm sorry about urinating in your house,"

The fairy calmed down. "Well... since you apologized I'll forgive you."

"...." Just like that?

"Where are you headed?" It asked me.

"Elf lands..."

"Ohhh... I'm headed there. If you give me a lift then we'll call it even." The fairy said as it poured its cheeks. Normal people would find this behaviour cute but I was in the edge of throwing of it out of my car window like some trash.

"Whatever..." I said. I need some company anyways. I had been talking to myself and my car all this time.

The fairy was quite annoying but bearable. It was also quite useful as it could sense monsters and the level of their strength. It could also heat up the inside if my car by flapping its wings so fast that the friction caused warmth.

It was also nice talking to someone instead of just replying to the man on the radio.

Night time came and I continued with my training. My Hyoksi manipulation only kept getting better and better.

It was at around 4 o'clock when the fairy woke me up. It shook my head up and as I looked at it it was shivering.

"Do you want a blanket or something? Coz I don't have it, just use that plastic bag to warm yourself up."

"Shhhh!" It said. "Can you not feel it?" it asked.

"Feel what?"

"There's something out there. Something powerful. It's looking at us... it's observing us..." The look of terror in the fairies eye was real. It was panicking so much that I was starting to panic myself. Just what exactly could it be. Out of all the other monsters that appeared the fairy had not panicked at all but now it looked like it was living a nightmare.

"Where is it?" I asked.

"It's circling us..."

I sighed as I opened the door to the car. I touched my heart which was beating rapidly. This was what I had wanted. I wanted a challenge to see where exactly I was at. I wanted to see how strong I was.

If this monster was strong then that would let me know what my level was. I removed the nunchuk from my pocket and turned it into a staff.

I twirled it in my hand and swung it around several times. I closed my eyes and released my Hyoksi. I controlled that Hyoksi and moved it around. I spread it around as I wanted to detect where and what this monster was.

A few seconds passed and a loud howl pierced through ear. It was heart wrenching and nerve wracking. It was the type of thing that one did not want to hear in the middle of dark night.

I heard crashing and I turned to see trees falling. The trees fell with a giant crash and standing behind them was the monster of legends. A monster that could be dated far back in time.

A werewolf with giant claws stood on its hind legs. It's mouth and long snout was covered in blood and so were its claws.

It had yellow eyes just like mine. It got on all fours and snarled at me.

I pressed a button and part of the staff turned into a carved blade. It looked like I was holding a scythe.

"kakatte koi."
