2 1. Vengeful Spirit : The beginning of the story

"Wow, your college is quite big, although it's a newly founded one." Aisyah gaped in astonishment at the large building in front of them.

"Alas, it is a private college, sister. Almost 90% of the students who applied here have a very outstanding family background. No ordinary people could easily enter here, well, not without help anyway." Fakhrul replied. "The rest 10% are scholarship students. Isn't it right, Iz?"

"Hmm, maybe." A short sentence comes from the handsome young man as an acknowledgment of his friend's question. His attention is more on his smartphone rather than on his surrounding.

"Come on, Iz. This is our first day here. Let's explore!" Fakhrul excitedly said. He slung his arm on Izzat's shoulders.

Izzat scrunched his nose, clearly hating his best friend's suggestion.

"I'm lazy. Go ask someone else." He replied with a distinct dislike on his face.

"Who should I ask? We are new here. New students should stick together. You will never get a girlfriend if you act like that, my friend. Always gloomy and a man of few words. I really wonder how a chatterbox like me could befriend a stoic person like you. What a waste of your handsome face. I really envy you sometimes. Even when you do nothing, girls flocking around you like birds."

Izzat glared at his friend.

"I am here to study, not on a quest of finding a girlfriend, silly. I also wonder how exactly our friendship could last this long when all I can think about is strangle you to death! Find a girlfriend for yourself first. Don't bother to find one for me. I am perfectly happy like this!"

"But, Iz..." Fakhrul showed him a pitiful expression. "I think it is about time for you to let go of your bachelor's title. You'll be a loner forever if this continues..."

"Shut up!" Izzat snapped at him.

Aisyah chuckled at her brother's interaction with Izzat. Izzat rarely expressed his emotion to others. Only when Fakhrul or his older brother, Aizat, around does he talk longer than necessary.

"Stop fighting, kids." She amusedly said. "First, we need to sort out your things and your dorm's matter. After that, we go out for our lunch. Exploration could be pushed back later. Understand?"

"Fine, sister." Fakhrul rolled his eyes.

"Careful. my dear brother. Or your beautiful sister here will poke out your eyes if you do that again. You must already forget about our sparring last week, isn't it? Next time, I will beat you hard enough so you will never forget it again. Okay?" Aisyah gave him a smile that not really a smile.

Fakhrul immediately nodded his head in understanding.

"Yes, sister! I will not do such things again towards you. I promise!"

"Good." Aisyah rubbed his brother's head in satisfaction.

Izzat scoffed.

"Pathetic."

Boy's Residential College

Jupiter Building.

They arrived at their dorm, well, more like their apartment, fifteen minutes later by car. The parking lots are crowded with expensive-looking cars since today is the first day of college registration. Parents are sending their children and at the same time, wanted to check their children's living quarters, whether it is safe and comfortable enough for them to live in.

"Too many people," Izzat grumbled under his breath. He hates crowded places so much that he preferred to stay at home during the holiday, the contrary of other adolescent teenagers. He quickly followed Fakhrul and his sister, Aisyah, while silently pleading in his heart, for this exhausting day to end. He had it enough already.

While crossing the parking lots, Izzat suddenly felt uncomfortable. He felt all his hairs on his body, standing. Shivers are running down his spine. Izzat looked around cautiously. His forehead wrinkled in confusion.

Is there something over here? But, he saw nothing at all, except a sea of human overcrowding in this place. Why did he experience an eerie feeling all of sudden? Izzat stays rooted, keeps scanning his surroundings in an attempt to find something out of ordinary.

Ah, forget it. He decided to ignore such feeling and rushed towards the lift.

Their apartment is located on the third floor(Level 3) and situated almost at the end, two dorms away from the emergency stairs. One dorm has three rooms. And, one room is shared with two students. Overall, there are six students in a dorm.

"Wow, your dorm is fabulous, kids." Aisyah snapped some pictures for their awaiting parents at home. "Really comfortable and I bet, the security is tight, especially for the girls."

Aisyah started her tour around the house alone. She checked every nook and crook of the house. From the main door to the back door. Even the toilet is not escaped her detailed inspection. Like an architect supervised her construction site. She has done it so seriously that the other two boys felt afraid to disturb her. They could only let her done her unauthorized work, lest then they get beaten for interrupting her.

"The dorm is in a good condition, these buildings must have a good maintenance team. So, we can rest assured that nothing bad will happened in case of emergency."

"What kind of emergency will happen? What kind of absurd things you imagined, sister?"

"Accident could happen anywhere, silly. You can never predict them. For precaution, I even checked the fire extinguishers one by one and looked like they serviced them regularly. As expected from a famous private college."

"In other words, you are being too cautious for no apparent reason."

Aisyah chuckled. She cracked her fists in front of Fakhrul and smiled chillingly.

"You, unexpectedly, had so many questions about my action, huh? If you did this deliberately to get beaten by me, then, as an understanding and loving sister, I will give her dearest brother a deserving reward. Come here, let this sister performed a choke holder on you for five minutes. I love to strangle your thin neck with my arms."

Fakhrul runs to Izzat and hides behind his back.

"No, thank you." He refused in a polite tone. "My back still sore from last week sparring. If you wanted to spar, go challenged your fiancee. He is the only one that could handle a brusque woman like you."

"Are you tried to call me a gorilla or something? How impudent." Aisyah glared dangerously at her brother.

"You just tried to find a reason to beat me, woman! I didn't say anything like that!"

"It is the same!"

"It is not!"

"Let's start packing out." Izzat finally said something to end the sibling's childish argument. He opened his bag and started working. He hates delaying his work the most. The quicker he worked, the faster he will get his rest.

Fakhrul followed his friend's suggestion without a fuss. He looks behind and stealthily stuck out his tongue at his sister.

"This stupid..." Aisyah muttered the rest of the curses' words in her heart. She exhaled a heavy sigh.
