18 The Exchange

The crowd dispersed, most of them left the house. There is still a group of men standing behind Junsu, including Taewon. They looked big. And I'm assuming they're Junsu's people.

Joon took out the four suitcases that they'd packed earlier at Min's club. Junsu gave two snaps and Taewon took out two suitcases as well. Then they both exchanged the suitcases.

Is there cash inside? I thought only Junsu gets the 500,000 dollars since he won. So why are they exchanging cases?

Taewon opened the case that Joon had given them, revealing two cases full of cash, which I'm assuming it's the money that they had won but it looked like it's more than that. And two cases full of guns and bullet pieces.

I shifted back to Joon who had already opened up the two cases that Taewon had given them. One case was full of packets containing white powdery stuff and another case revealed a beautiful diamond necklace with a polished clear green jade piece in the center. Wow, that must be worth thousands.

Hana is still there standing next to Jay with her eyes gawking at the jade necklace. Her eyes are about to fall out if she keeps staring at it any longer.

Joon and Taewon both shut the cases and held it close to them.

Jay and Junsu both looked satisfied with their exchange.

Junsu motioned to one of the guys standing behind him. "Take my lovely lucky lady to my room for the night."

The guy walked toward me.

Oh crap! I do not want to be sold off like an item. And I definitely do not want to spend the night here. Judging from their exchange with guns and white powdery stuff. They're definitely not good people. Maybe they're in a position similar to Jay's. And Jay has killed people before. Right in front of my eyes.

I dashed glances between Jay and Joon trying to send a signal but they're both not looking at me.

"No." Jay voiced.

The guy halted at his place and Junsu raised his eyebrows at Jay, staring at him curiously.

Jay continued, "She's coming back with me and so is Hana."

"You know that can't happen. I collected Hana and she's staying here with me. And that new girl of yours, she's my prize from tonight's winning." Junsu said calmly.

I hate being talked about like an item.

"I'm guessing you didn't see, Junsu," Jay pulled Hana towards him and lifted up her shirt, revealing a blue jay bird tattoo on her lower hip.

I inwardly gasped. This blue jay bird is the same one tattooed on Jay's side.

Junsu's eyebrow furrowed, and he stared at the tattoo intensely, as if in deep thoughts.

Hana tried to fling Jay away but he was stronger than her. Jay then dragged her to where Joon was standing. "Joon, take her back."

"Yes Boss," Joon says as he took Hana by her arm and dragged her out of the house. Then I heard a motorbike take off.

For some reason, I felt annoyed. I don't want to go back with Jay if that's where Hana is going to be at.

I could sense the tension in the room. Jay and Junsu are both staring at each other. The men behind Junsu looked like robots, standing still.

Breaking off the silence, Junsu motioned for one of his men to take me again. The guy grabbed my arm. And out of nowhere, Jay swiftly came over to me and knocked the guy next to me out with a punch to his face.

Junsu looked angry now.

Jay ignored it and took my hand, turning back towards the entrance where we came in.

The group of men that was standing behind Junsu is now standing in front of Jay. There were about twelve of them.

"MOVE!" Jay roared.

I flinched but none of the guys took a single step.

Jay had let go of my hand and started swinging his fist.

One of the men took hold of this opportunity and grabbed me by my arms again, taking me away from Jay, and dragged me next to Junsu.

Jay swung his fists on some of the guys, hitting them right on their faces, knocking some out; but some are dodging his punches. None of them were hitting back.

Junsu then stood up and his voice echoed through the big room, "Grab him."

The men then took Jay's arms, not allowing him to fling his fist anymore.

But Jay gathered his strength and broke free of their grasps and swung his leg, kicking one of the guys in his nuts.

Three guys got up behind him and were advancing towards him.

"Jay! Behind you!" I yelled.

But before Jay could turn back, the guys had already tackled him from behind and were putting their body weights on top of Jay. They were so big and Jay looked so tiny underneath them. Jay struggled to get back up on his feet but couldn't.

I'm scared and I didn't know what to do.

Junsu walked right up to Jay and punched him right in the head. Sending Jay's head flying sideways.

"I hate those who don't play by the rules. The last time I checked, she didn't have a jay on her. But taking our friendship into our account, you're gonna have to take a couple of blows from me if you want her back," Junsu snickered.

Then Junsu gave Jay a kick to his neck.

Jay laid there motionless. How come he doesn't look a bit scared?

My heart sank. I felt helpless.

Those big guys now lifted Jay up with their arms locked with Jay's. He is barely standing on the ground with those guys lifting him up.

Junsu flung his fist and his knuckles met with Jay's face, giving a loud blow to his face.

Jay's nose is bleeding at this point.

I instinctively wanted to run towards him but couldn't. One of Junsu's men is still holding me back. I struggled and tried to kick him off of me but he twisted my arm backwards and I yelped in pain, kneeling on the ground.

Jay looked up. His face turned dark the second he saw me. He tightened up his jaw.

Junsu raised his leg and gave Jay a strong kick to his stomach. Jay flinched, and his body limped.

My heart raced and I felt like I wanted to puke.

"Wait," My voice managed to choke out through the silence.

Everyone turned their attention to me.
