20 Devil or an Angel

Dawn came rather quickly.

I opened my eyes and blinked away the morning sunlight. My eyes felt swollen.

My mind flashes back to last night. I shuddered thinking about it. But I'm glad nothing happened.

I made my way across the bedroom and opened the door. I gasped in surprise when I saw a man dressed in black standing next to the door.

He noticed my presence and greeted me, leading me down the stairs to a spacious kitchen.

Junsu is already there, standing next to the window as if in deep thoughts, with a lit cigarette in between his fingers.

He noticed our entrance and quickly tapped away his cigarette, extinguishing it into the tray by the window.

"My Princess, you're already awake," Junsu greeted, heading to the stove.

He grabbed some dishes, "I made some breakfast for you. Sit down and eat."

He placed a sandwich on a plate and set it down to the dining table.

"I'm not hungry." I replied, although I was hungry.

But I'm in no mood to sit down here and enjoy my breakfast while Jay is hurt. I just wanted to leave right away and see if Jay is okay.

He looks at me, "I already made it."

"I want to leave now," I said.

Junsu smiles. "I'll pack the sandwich for you so you can have it in the car. How's that?"

I nodded slowly, cautious of his sudden kindness despite the fact that he had almost raped me last night.

Junsu took out a foil and wrapped the sandwich up nicely. He then went to the fridge and took out a little carton of banana milk.

My stomach rumbles. But I'm glad he didn't hear that.

Seeing Junsu made me wonder why all the guys I've met so far have been a bit bipolar. They're a devil one second and another second, they're like angels.

He gave me the food and led me outside. I turned back and realized that the house looks so much bigger and nicer during the day.

We walked up to a fancy looking blue and white BMW. Junsu clicked a button and I stared in awe as the wing doors of the car swung up. Just how rich is this guy? How are they even able to afford such a grand house and luxurious things at such a young age. I mean they looked young anyway. I realized I know nothing about Jay nor Junsu. I wonder how old they are.

I climbed into the passenger seat while Junsu got into the driver's seat and began driving. Although his car looks a lot nicer than Jay's car, it's not as smooth. I like riding in the black Mercedes more.

"Eat your sandwich while it's warm," Junsu said.

It still boggles my mind how courteous and friendly he is now. But I've determined that I could trust Junsu for now.

I unwrapped the top part of the foil and bit into my sandwich carefully so that I don't make a mess eating in this nice car.

"How old are you anyway? You look so young but you own all these fancy things," I asked curiously.

I've always been a curious person and ask a lot of questions even in class. I guess it's been my worst and best trait.

Oh crap, thinking about class made me realize that I have to go to classes today. I'll just skip my classes today and see how Jay's doing. He did get beat up because of me, and I feel horrible about it.

Junsu chuckled, "I'm 27. Not too young but not a grandpa either."

I giggled. I can't even imagine Junsu being a grandpa, with his good looks and white hair.

Junsu glances over at me, "I'm guessing you're 18 or 19?"

I turned to him in surprise, "Well, my birthday is in 2 weeks, then I'll be 19. But how did you know?"

Junsu hesitated a little.

"Lucky guess," he continued, "Let's celebrate your birthday."

I lowered my head and twiddled with the crescent moon dangling on my neck. A birthday celebration? I don't even know how that feels. The only time I've seen someone celebrating their birthday is when Sera invited her friends over and they had a birthday party.

Junsu glances over to study my silence.

"Why didn't you just take off your necklace yesterday when we were playing poker? You could have avoided stripping off your shirt."

"It's the only gift from my mom." I replied, feeling a little dejected.

Junsu's face darkened. He tightened up his jaw.

He cleared his throat and decided to change the topic.

"So, do you go to university?"

"Yeah, I'm supposed to have class today."

"Oh? I'll drive you there then."

I shook my head.

"No, I want to go back and see how Jay is."

Junsu took a quick look at me before shifting his eyes back to the road, "Okay."

I turned my head and looked out the window and the rest of the drive was silent.

We arrived at the familiar house after a while of driving. The house looks small now compared to Junsu's.

"Let me see your phone for a second," Junsu demanded as I unbuckled my seatbelt.

I took out my phone from my bag and handed it off to him.

He punched in some numbers and his phone rang.

"Save this number and call me if you need anything," Junsu said as he handed my phone back.

For some reason, I felt a little touched.

"And say hello to my old friend for me. I won't be going in."

I gave him a nod and bid him goodbye.

I went up the steps to the house with a heavy heart and rang the doorbell.

After a minute, I heard the door open and Joon's face appeared.

"Joon! You're here," I breathed a sigh of relief.

Joon smiles sourly before stepping to the side, letting me in.

"How's Jay?" I questioned immediately.

"He's resting in his room," Joon replied, "I suggest you don't go up to see him now, though."

I ignored Joon's comment and made my way up the stairs to Jay's room.
