The battle depleted the garrison's resources, including one million-equivalent nuclear bombs, 150 cruise missiles, and 15 fighter planes.
On June 1st, 2005, a three-kilometer-long beast resembling a whale appeared in the sky above Hancheng, causing panic. Fortunately, this creature was less aggressive and only existed for fifteen minutes, resulting in fewer casualties. It disappeared despite being targeted by federal missile bombings.

These incidents marked the beginning of a new era. It is now the year 2055, in the evening. In a room, a sixteen-year-old boy named Chen Chu sits in front of a computer, deeply engrossed in researching the Age of Mythology found on the internet. He reflects on the dangerous nature of this world.
Chen Chu recently arrived in this world and found its history, technology, and civilization similar to his original world. However, everything changed when giant mythical creatures started appearing decades ago. These behemoths transformed the world, and the ancient practice of cultivation regained prominence, with some practitioners attaining extraordinary abilities.
While the world focuses on advanced technologies and weapons, the cultivation trend grows. Chen Chu quickly adapts to this chaotic world, despite being a novice traveler.
However, Chen Chu faces a peculiar problem. He feels the presence of two bodies within him—the human body he occupies and the sensation of a small six-horned dragon. Chen Chu, a high school freshman, joins his family for dinner—his mother, Zhang Xiaolan, and his younger brother, Chen Hu. Zhang Xiaolan expresses concern for Chen Chu's health, who has been prone to illness since childhood.
Chen Chu recently had a severe fever, which worried his family and led to a hospital visit. Although he barely survived, Chen Chu keeps this fact to himself. After dinner, he retreats to his room, where he feeds his pet hexagonal salamander. As he observes the salamander grow rapidly after consuming an unusual amount of shrimp, Chen Chu realizes the potential and possibilities this creature holds.
Filled with excitement and hope, Chen Chu continues to feed and observe the salamander, contemplating the newfound opportunities in this dangerous world.
