20 War God

"Come demon lord let us see if you can match me." The silver hair girl called Evangeline had used a high end spell by herself. This was ridiculous feat! As Gaston was thinking, he formed a mana barrier and focused all of Beelzebub's staff into defense. As the meteor fall was coming to an end Evangeline started chanting new spell words.

"GATHER UPON MY HAND THE EVER FLOWING AND PROSPEROUS WINDS. I BESEECH THEE, DESTROY THE SHACKLES THAT BIND AND SHOW UNTO ME TRUE FREEDOM! TORNADO!" Dozens of rotating torrents of air surrounded Gaston but this wasn't the end, Evangeline was chanting more spell words.

"RAGING FIRE THAT BURNS AWAY OBLIVION. FIERY EMBERS THAT SCORCH EVERYTHING TO ASHES. COME FORTH AND SHOW ME TRUE DEVASTATION! SCORCH EARTH!" The field full of tornadoes was now enveloped by flames. The mana from the flames infused in with the tornadoes and turned into a fiery tornado.

Using three high end spells continuously Gaston couldn't believe what he was seeing but, there was no denying what he saw as he defended with all his might. "Oh... You're still alive demon lord. Well I guess that is to be expected of a demon lord with the staff of Beelzebub even with three high end spells you haven't died. Truly incredible."

The girl Evangeline was mocking a demon lord. Gaston felt ashamed and irritated at the same time. "Well I would want to continue in punishing you for disturbing a lady, but I have prior engagements." The flaming tornadoes squeezed Gaston's barrier but when it was about to end his life a huge magical wave pushed the tornadoes aside.

"It's been a hundred years since I used this move. I can't believe a human could actually force me to use my trump card. Full synchronization with my weapon. Now child I shall repay all the insults you have given me with interest."

Evangeline looked at Gaston from above and sighed. "You really are a rude fellow. First you disturb me while I'm having a conversation, now you want me to be late from my appointment. Let me tell you demon lord, though you indeed have powered up from using the mana of the staff. You still can't beat me, can't you feel it? That even now our power differs greatly."

"Damn you! Enough with your insults! FENRIR OF THE GREAT SNOWFIELD, GREAT SPIRIT OF WATER AND ICE! RELEASE THY POWER UNTO THE LAND AND DESTROY THOSE WHO OPPOSE, COME FORTH ETERNAL ICE! TRANSFORM THIS LAND INTO A FROZEN GRAVEYARD! ICE AGE!" A huge ice like wolf came forth from a magic circle and everything it hit and simply grazed was turned into ice.

Looking at these move Evangeline sighed "Really..." Evangeline simply waved her hand and the ice wolf disappeared. Gaston looked horrified this was his greatest spell and it was dealt with so easily.

Evangeline looked at the demon lord in pity. "Well... I'm sorry but it's time to end this." Without reciting any spell words Evangeline simply clicked her fingers and the earth was filled with mana which enveloped the shocked Gaston and swallowed him whole. The Staff of Beelzebub disappeared from his hand in order to find a new master to serve. This had proven the death of the demon lord Gaston. "Well that was a little tedious, but no matter I'm in such a great mood today. Very soon I'll be able to meet Leo again." Evangeline descended and started hopping toward the direction Selina and the others headed towards.

Back in the past

Leo multiplied and was attacking Albert from all sides. Albert felt that they were all imitations just facade of mana, yet all of them were able to deal damage which was troublesome. Albert then punched the ground making it shake.

The punch not only made the ground shake but also caused a disturbance in the flow of mana causing the images to deteriorate so Albert was able to pin point where the real Leo was. He attacked the original forcing the clones to disappear.

"How many techniques do you have?" Albert asked, while Leo looked a little confused with the question. "How many techniques? That's a difficult question to answer, since I have techniques for all weapons. As long as it's related to battle I have tried to learn everything. So I'm really not sure how many techniques, skills, and abilities I have. I never really cared I just kept on learning."

Albert was surprised once more as he re-evaluated Leo again. 'This guy keeps on surprising me. In a certain sense his almost the same as me.'

"Well enough chatter let's continue the battle." Just when they were about to continue to fight, a blinding light descended. Leo shivered he felt an enormous energy that was way beyond what he felt from the silver hair girl he saw earlier. Not only that, there was an even greater pressure assualting him as all his senses were screaming at him that he was about to die. This would probably be the same feeling he would get if the beings that govern chaos and serenity where to show animosity against him.

The blinding light disappeared and in place a man in the same silver armor like Tenri appeared. Leo was now sure this guy wasn't a half like Tenri he was the real deal. This was a God, the sword by his waist was shining brightly, as the man removed his silver helmet and smiled. "I felt your battle humans and I watched. I was waiting for you to finish and see who would win after which I would challenge the victor. But I got bored so I decided to face you both at the same time."

Without even thinking Leo picked up his swords and attacked. Once it was clear that the God that appeared was an enemy there was no need to hesitate. "Nicely done human you have a true warrior's instinct." Leo's attack was easily blocked by the hand of the God. He unsheathed his blade and swung, Leo immediately used aura blade in both his swords and blocked. Leo was pushed back but in that instant Albert was able to get behind the God and punched him. The air vibrated from the attack but it did nothing against the God.

"Nice strategy human but with that kind of attack you won't be able to do anything against my armor."

"[Heavenly rain]." The torrent of mana blades fell from the sky while Albert retreated the God parried all the incoming blades. But one of the mana blades was able to wound his cheek. "Now this is an attack that can harm me!" Due to the earlier fight Leo's attacks were weakening because of expending too much energy in the fight against Albert.

In front of him was person beyond his strength and he was almost out of energy but still Leo smiled. "THIS WORLD IS TRULY INTERESTING!"
