9 Titan

Leo consumed by the grey sword attacked the Titan without a second thought. He jumped over the Titan's head and did a downward slash with all his might. The Titan blocked using his shield. The impact was so great the vibrations from the shield and sword caused a gust of wind that blew away the nearby trees.

The Titan's shield was able to endure the attack without even a dent. On the other hand the Titan's leg dug into the ground due to the force of the attack. The Titan pushed Leo upward using the shield. Leo used the momentum to do a greater attack from above. Before Leo could initiate the attack he was swatted by the Titan's hammer. Leo blocked using the grey sword but was still blown away onto the ground.

His body crashed onto the ground forming a large crater. Leo coughed blood his body was wounded all over and his bones were broken, a normal human or even a demon would have died from that attack. Still Leo stood up and started screaming "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" It was like an animal roaring its anger. Leo's wounds were starting to heal his broken bones were mending.

As soon as his bones were restored, Leo began his aggressive assault once again. He made a huge swing using the grey blade. With that swing a dark wind came out of the sword and like an extension of the blade it headed toward the Titan. The Titan reacted to the unexpected attack and blocked it using his shield. Even with successfully blocking the black wind the titan's huge body was pushed back. Leo continued doing the same move in a wild frenzy. Dust covered the area as Leo was breathing heavily.

The Titan still stood without a scratch, only his shield had a little dent. The Titan pointed his finger at Leo and thunder came forth. Leo seeing the incoming attack stabbed the grey sword into the ground. Leo's body was covered in blue light. The lightning hit Leo but was absorbed. The Titan pointed his index finger on the ground where Leo stood and flicked his index finger upward. A mini eruption of lava happened beneath Leo, yet even that was absorbed. The heavy breathing of Leo stopped it was as if the attacks he absorbed turned into his energy. Coming to this conclusion the Titan engaged Leo in a melee.

Eli regained consciousness and saw Arika "What have you done Arika! Where's Leo?"

Arika didn't notice Eli talking to her, she was looking at something in a daze. Eli turned her head to see what Arika was looking at. A forty meter tall giant was fighting a crazed Leo in a melee.

"What is that?!" Eli noticed that Leo's weapon was no longer his beloved twin blades but a very large grey sword. Eli wanted to rush to Leo's side and help in battle but she couldn't move. She was afraid, not at the Titan but at Leo.

Leo was being pushed back by the Titan. The Titan kept on stomping at Leo and when he jumps the Titan would swat him down with his hammer. "OOOOOOOOOOOO!" Leo started roaring even louder. His right hand was being engulfed by the grey sword it was trying to consume his body. The more the grey sword consumed Leo the more his strength and speed started increasing. Whenever he felt the increase Leo would go back on the offensive.

The Titan tried to counter but due to the difference in speed and size he was unable to hit the nimble Leo. The Titan noticing that it was pointless to fight that way, started to shrink its size until it was only a little taller than Leo. Doing this increased, his speed and even when shrinking he was able to retain his strength.

With this one move the advantage went back to the Titan. On the other hand Leo's regeneration was growing slower bit by bit. The Titan was now sure of its complete victory, but before the Titan could give the final blow. The grey sword started covering Leo's whole body and formed an armor of grey.

The helmet of the grey armor looked like a wolf's head. Leo's speed and strength increased yet again. The Titan caught off-guard was blown back. His right arm was cleanly cut off. The Titan started laughing her voice was enchanting.

"HAHAHA THAT WAS FUN! But due to this injury I need to retreat for a while. So what's your name?" The voice was that of a woman, inside that silver armor was a woman.

Leo didn't answer and simply growled at her "Well it seems like you can't answer right now, due to rage. My name's Tenri. Tell me your name next time alright." Tenri disappeared in a flash of lightning. Leo howled at her and fainted in exhaustion.

Eli and Arika seeing the Titan retreat, hurried to aide Leo.

In a dream that was also reality Leo was in the same space as the two beings who represents chaos and serenity.

"What was that?" Leo questioned the two beings.

"That was one form of the true blade." The two beings spoke in unison. Their voices sounded both young and ancient, both male and female, both foolish and wise.

"True blade? What is that?" Leo continued questioning, since he wasn't always able to talk to these two.

"The true blade is the final form of all things. It is the blade that can slice apart destiny itself. Chaos and Serenity were essentially one entity they together were the TRUTH OF THE BEGINNINGS END. Yet time moved and history became legend and truth became myth the one became two. People have long forgotten that pure good or pure evil don't really exist. As everyone started to see things purely as black and white.

The humans that were created from both light and darkness have shun the darkness and have embrace the light, or vice versa they would embrace the darkness and shun the light. None have tread on both light and darkness to walk the gray path. That is why you who have accepted both light and dark are worthy of walking the path of kings. Before you came to this world you have walked the true path, the path of kings, the path toward the Truth, and toward the end. Now you are on the verge of leaning towards darkness."

"Darkness? Me I'm leaning to darkness?"

"Yes, when you were fighting the giants you wanted to save your friends and destroy your enemies. The swords reacted to the rise of your emotions and turned into an incomplete form of the true blade. At that time your emotions were leaning too much toward destruction not on saving. That made you go through that incomplete form of the true blade. The armor you wore proved that. That armor was incomplete, it only had some of the abilities of wrath and greed both that come from darkness and only a tiny portion of justice which comes from light. Due to the premature form of the true blade and your immaturity in using serenity and chaos. You would be unable to use them for some time."

Leo looked shocked "how long is some time?"

"A week, a month, a year, we cannot say it will take as long as need be. If you use the swords while we are restoring them, both the blades would break. If the blades of chaos and serenity break we know not what will happen. The worst case would be the end of life as we know it, or nothing would happen at all." Hearing this Leo sighed "So I got to look for new swords that I can use for the meantime."

"Once again we tell you to remember where there is light there will always be darkness and where there is darkness there will always be light."

Leo woke up in the same room he was in after he was saved by Raigar. Beside him were Eli and Arika sleeping side by side. Both were beautiful beyond compare and together they looked like a masterpiece that came to life. It was better not to disturb them as they were sleeping.

Leo then sent serenity and chaos to another dimension were they would be restored by the two beings. While he was doing that, both Eli and Arika woke from their sleep. Eli was trying to stop her tears while Arika was smiling gently.

'So Arika changed back to Rika while I was asleep.'

"YOU IDIOT! YOU DID IT AGAIN YOU IDIOT!" Eli screamed her outrage while hugging Leo tightly. Leo patted her head "DON'T TREAT ME LIKE A KID YOU IDIOT."

"Haha I'm an idiot sorry about that." Leo answered casually.

"Welcome back Leo." Rika said as gentle as possible a little teardrop fell from her cheeks.

"I'm back Rika. Thanks again for helping Eli."

"No it is I who should thank you. You saved our lives, without you, Eli and I would have died." Before Leo could answer back Raigar burst into the room.

"I'm sorry for disturbing this touching reunion but someone's looking for you, Leo."

"Looking for me?" Leo pointed his index finger at himself, and Raigar nodded. "Yes and it's a Titan that calls herself Tenri."

Leo and the group went to the plaza where Tenri was waiting for them surrounded by soldiers. Though she was surrounded and arrows and spears were pointing at her she smiled cheerfully and waved at Leo.

"Hey it's been a week right. You look well, you see me too. My arms completely healed." Tenri pointed at her right arm. The right arm that Leo clearly cut off was back as if nothing had happened. "So now that I'm healed and you look calm can I ask for your name again?" Leo's anger at Tenri was dispelled by her carefree smile

"It's Leonard but you can call me Leo." Tenri smiled brighter than before and approached Leo. Her size right now was a head shorter than Leo. She wasn't wearing her armor anymore she was wearing simple clothes made out of fur thus showing of the curves of her body and her enticing bosom. Her hair was black like Leo's but her pupils were green emeralds which were looking directly at Leo.

"Alright Leo it's nice to meet you."

"Likewise, so Tenri what are you doing here? Are you here for the revenge for your comrades?"

"Comrades?" Tenri tilted her head in puzzlement.

"Aren't those Natural giants and the changed your comrades? The changed giant even called you master?" Leo seeing Tenri's reaction was a bit puzzled.

"Oh that! No it wasn't me that he was calling. Actually it's my first time seeing those guys. I was just passing by when I saw you fighting. It looked so exciting so I joined in."

Leo with a shocked expression asked "Wait if you're not the master then who is?"

"Don't know? But never mind that, Leo... can I ask you something?" Leo taken aback by the sudden change of topic answered, "Sure what is it?"

"Well at first I wanted to ask if I can fight you again, but I changed my mind. I wish to accompany you in your journey." Leo and the group looked at Tenri with mouths agape.

"Why do you want to accompany me?" Leo regaining composure finally asked.

"Well you know that we Titans have special abilities right." Leo nodded his head, when she saw that Tenri speaking.

"Well my special ability is precognition I could see into the future. But when I looked into your future I couldn't see anything, and anybody related to you I couldn't see their future either. This has only happened when I look into the future of Gods and Dragons or sometimes at other Demi-Gods. I understand why I can't see their future but clearly you're just a human so why can't I see your future. To understand the reason for this, I wish to follow you in your journey." Tenri excitedly smiled as she continued talking not bothered by all the weapons pointed at her.

"Another reason would be because I smell a life of great battles ahead of you. I want to be part of those great battles. So Leo, would you allow me to accompany you?"

Leo looked at Eli "what do you think Eli?" Hearing that question, Eli could only shrugg her shoulders and say. "Whatever you decide, I will abide by it. Though I already know what you decided on."

Hearing that exasperated voice of Eli, Leo smiled and looked at Tenri "Sure Tenri, follow me, just promise me one thing... promise me that no matter what happens you would never betray me."

Tenri beamed in joy as she answered "Sure I promise. Yay I can follow Leo."

The following day after acknowledging Tenri as one of their companions. Leo and company were set to leave the fortress. Raigar and his troops were there to bid them farewell but Rika could not be seen. "Before you leave Leo I have two things to give you." Raigar signaled one of his men to come. The man who approached was holding two short swords.

"I heard about it from Lady Elizabeth. Though they can't replace chaos and serenity. They are the sharpest blades in this fortress."

"Thanks I will use them well." Leo strapped the swords in his sword-belt.

"The second gift would be information. We have heard that Regon the capital of the human kingdom has successfully created a weapon that surpasses all their past weapons. You might as well look, they might have something to replace chaos and serenity."

"Sure we'll go. It seems interesting enough." Leo and company waved at the soldiers who saw them off.

"Hey are we really going to Regon?" Tenri asked.

"Yeah why?" Leo looked a bit confused as to why Tenri would ask such a question.

"Ok so does anyone know how to get there?" Hearing what Tenri said, the group stopped walking.

"Hey Leo you did ask Raigar how to get there?" Eli looked at Leo with a face full of suspicion.

"Well hahaha" Leo couldn't say anything so he started laughing awkwardly.

"YOU DIDN'T! YOU IDIOT" Eli yelled at the irresponsible partner of hers.

"Well we could just go to the next town and ask for directions." Tenri suggested, while Leo nodded in agreement "Yeah Tenri's right we could do that."

"Nah you idiots don't have to do that, since I know the way." A different voice was heard from behind Leo. A girl suddenly appeared behind him, it was "Rika! No with this way of speaking you must be Arika right?"

"Yup" Arika smiled. "So Arika what are you doing here?" Eli sounded like she was interrogating Arika.

"You guys really are idiots. Isn't it obvious I came to join you in your journey? I even offered myself as a guide to Regon right."

"WHAT!" Both Eli and Leo looked at Arika dumbfounded while Tenri looked like she didn't care at all.

"What's with that? You guys sound like you don't want me to join." Arika pouted.

"No it's not like that Arika... Has Raigar approved of this?" Leo voiced out his concern.

"If that's what you're worried about I already told him last night. He told me that I can do what I want. So now that's settled let's get going." Without even letting Leo or Eli argue back Arika walked ahead.

"Hey what are you guys doing lets go." Arika said with a joyful expression. "Well I guess the more the merrier." Leo grinned as the sun shone brightly at the group.
