1 Chapter 1

Year: 3130

A spacecraft was gliding in the space. Its color was bluish-grey, and shape of the ship was like a Recurve Bow; just like when Archer loads the arrow and pulls the string. It was flat in shape and seemed to have three levels of floors / compartments. There were small bulbs, flashing red light, attached to edge of the ship. "Naqaal X" was written on right wings of ship while on left wing "Mother Earth I" was printed. On left Wing Symbol of earth was also printed.

This ship had 6 engines. 2 main engines, two support engines and one engine in each wing. The ship was state of the art and had latest technology of the time. The ship had nuclear weapons to deal with any threats intended or otherwise.

The ship was powered by Nuclear power, as well as Solar power. The ship was equipped with everything that a man could need for survival.

Light was twinkling from the center-front of the top level. This was Stateroom/Cockpit of the spacecraft. Room had no walls except for one in the back. It was all made of glass. The view from this room was epic. There was a large lounger in the center of the room with a lot of controls, levers, and Buttons on its arms and a very handsome man was sleeping earnestly in it. His name was Daniel.

Light in the room was dull. It must be because Daniel was sleeping. Daniel looked like he was in his late 20s or early 30s. He was 6 Feet and 6 inches tall with natural dark brown hair and dark blue eyes. His eyes were full of life and energy. He had light brown complexion. He had muscular body just like bodybuilders. He was wearing Blue trousers and Crimson shirt with Camel overcoat and Brown leather derby shoes.

Beep, Beep, Beep. . .

Suddenly, high pitch siren went off and woke Daniel up from slumber.

Siren startled him. There was nothing on the radar when he slept.

"Ship is entering in the strong Magnetic and Gravitational field." A female mechanical voice echoed in the ship.

Daniel rubbed his eyes to clean them and then looked at his watch and to his surprise, he had slept for one whole day.

"Ohhh my god!" He murmured to himself while yawning. He was still drowsy.

"Do you want to land on the cosmic body creating these fields?" Mechanical Voice continued.

"If yes, please pull the secondary engine lever and if No, please engage necessary resources and set the direction of the ship." Warning continued.

He put his hand on the lever to pull. "But there was no celestial body on my radar until a month's journey." Notion struck him hard and He fully woke up.

He quickly sat up and looked out the window. There was nothing. He quickly got up and went near the window to have a closer look. Still nothing.

"What the hell. Nothing?" He mumbled. He was astonished.

"Dana! Show me the radar imaging! Quickly!" He Commanded. Dana was name of his virtual assistant on this ship. It was basically his ship.

"Okay sir!" Same Mechanical voice responded. But this time the tune was more human unlike earlier. It was soft, solemn, and low.

"Radar image is on your front screen." Dana complied

Suddenly, glass window in front of him turned into a screen and it showed different graphs and Numbers and tables. He looked closely and suddenly he panicked like lightning struck him.

"No. No. No. Please God No." He ran towards his chair, sat in it, and Pushed the lever to turn on second engine.

"Dana! I am going to change the direction of the ship. Set the performance level of engines and all other ancillary functions of ship to the Highest and make sure that all the engines are ready for action."

"That will heat the engine and may result in..." Dana tried to explain.

"I know. I know. I know." He intercepted without taking away his attention from screen and controls around him. If his hunch was right, he was as good as dead.

"Commencing the engines and ship's performance level has been put to the highest." Dana responded. With that, the lights of the room became brighter and ship started trembling a little. Ship was now functioning at the highest level.

"Show me full scale information from Celestial Coordinates System." He commanded again. Full window of the Stateroom started showing graphs, figures, tables, and other necessary information regarding the performance of the engine.

"How much we have gotten into this Gravitational field?" He asked while changing the direction of craft.

"We are 150 kilometers inside. Considering the gravitational pull, Electromagnetic strength and our speed we will cross 50 kilometers more into the field in next 90 seconds." Dana responded.

"What the…." He was surely annoyed.

"Dana! For now, keep all the engines on standby. Stop the acceleration towards the celestial body."

"All engines are now on standby until nest command." Dana Informed.

"Now, I have to find a way out of this situation." Daniel spoke to himself.

"Dana! Show me the blueprints of power and energy generation and consumption systems."

"Blueprints are on your left side." Data on left side switched.

Daniel started reading the data and come up with some workable plan.

"We have crossed 200 kilometers in the field. If we go further 100 kilometers, the gravity control system will fail." Its startled Daniel

"Any signs of celestial body?" His worst nightmare was coming to life.

"No Sir." Dana's answer confirmed his suspicion.

"So, this really IS a Black Hole." He sounded depressed. He leaned back in his chair. His heart was racing like hell.

"It is impossible situation. I am too deep into it." He thought to himself. He stroked his hair with nervousness. He sat there for a few moments hiding his face with his hands. He has never been this afraid in his life and he had faced his fair share of dangers across this journey and before it as well. He was just about to cry…
