15 CHAPTER 15

My heart sped up instantly, to rates i didn't even know were possible. We both stood there starring at each other, neither one of us moved. For what seemed like forever, we both came back to reality.

''What are you doing here?'' I say with a serious look on my face.

''I could say the same thing to you'' she says smiling but also looking like she wished i wasn't here.

''A friend of mine asked for a little help with the tech backstage. I'm glad you're here... I've been little worried about you.'' i say not really thinking about the things that come out of my mouth.

''Well. I'm here and... alive'' she says, looking around. '' I'm gonna go, catch you later Scottie''

''Wait Lola... Just... just talk to me. Just for a second.'' i say grabbing her hand.

''What's there to talk about Scottie? I was obviously misleaded. Its no big deal, I'll see you around.'' she says in hurry to leave from talking to me. This could be my only chance to get through to her. The only chance to fix something for once.

''No Lola, it wasn't... It's not what you think it is Lola.''

''I'm not the girl who's going to chase after someone. You obviously have a girlfriend from what i saw'' she says as she drops her head then looks over towards the crowds.

''You may think i'm some girl that whines. Or someone that is just random for no reason. But seeing you up there on the bridge kissing... kissing her. It hurt Scottie. It really hurt. When we'd text... in a very long time I had hope Scottie. And i know thats weird because i barely know you but... I like you Scott... I really, really like you.'' she says all of this as i'm still trying to process that fact that she likes me. I couldn't move, i couldn't speak or do anything that would assure that i feel the same way.

''Bye Scottie'' she says as she walks away into the crowd with such dissapointment on her face. I watch her drift away in the crowds.

''But i like you too'' I whisper.
