16 Simon's First Day

(Clary's Pov)

The next morning, I woke up to my phone alarm. I look at my phone and see that it is 6:00 am. I turn off my alarm and sit up having my eyes adjust to the light. I take a few minutes to get up, but once I do I go straight to Simon's room. When I go into his room, I see him standing in front of the window. I go up behind him and put my hand on his shoulder. I guess I shocked him because he jumped a little bit. He then realized that it was me and then he smiled. I smile back and look out the window with him.

"Hey, you know what I was thinking," I say.

"What's up Clare," He asks while smiling at me. I turn around and I go to sit on his bed.

"You should come to school with us. You could learn how to be around people and how to control your thirst. " I say looking up at him. He comes over to me and sits next to me on his bed.

"I don't know I haven't gone to school since I turned and when I did, I got made fun of all the time." He speaks.

I elbow him in the side and say "You'll be fine. If not, okay, you will have me and the others there with you," he just nods his head yes and looks at me.

"Well get ready. I'll come to get you when we leave." I say standing up and making my way to the door. Before I leave, I see him get up and grab some clothes.

I close the door and make my way to my room. When I get to my room, I grab a black long shirt with a black and white checkered skirt. Along with my black knee-high boots and my black leather jacket along with a tiny black purse. I go into the bathroom and put the clothes on the counter. I turn on the shower and wait for it to warm up. After a few minutes of it warming up I quickly undress when I hear a knock on the door. I quickly grab a towel and wrap it around myself. I open the door to see Jace standing outside of it. As soon as he sees that I'm in a towel and that the shower is on he gets awkward.

"Oh um I didn't know that you were naked I'm sorry," Jace says looking away from me.

"It's okay, why were you looking for me?" I say with a little giggle.

"Oh well, when I woke up you weren't there so I want to see where you were," he says, still looking away from me. I found it cute that he was so embarrassed. I take my towel and tuck it under my arm. I move my free hand under his chin. I move his head to look at me and I smile. I pull him closer and lightly kiss him on the lips.

"Hey, it's okay, but can I take a shower?" I say looking at him. He just nods his head and kisses my cheek. He then turns around and walks away. I close the door and giggle a bit. It was so cute how he was trying so hard to not look at me. I take off the towel and hang it next to the shower. After I get out of the shower, I brush my hair and get dressed. I grab the blow drier and plug it into the wall. After a little, my hair is fully dry and I take my straightener. I part my hair to the right side and start straightening my hair. Once I leave the bathroom, I go to my vanity to put on some simple make-up. I put on my boots and make my way downstairs.

When I get downstairs, I'm the only one there so I go to the fridge to make some food for everyone. I take out the ingredients and put them on the counter. I go to the cabinets and take out a bowl. After a little bit, I finally finished making the scrambled eggs with sausage and toast. As soon as I finished making breakfast everyone came down all at the same time. I turn around to see Jace shocked.

"Clary your outfit is amazing!" Izzy says, making her way to me. I smile and start blushing.

"Thank you," I say walking closer to her

"I love your hair. I have never seen it straight," Izzy says while coming closer and playing with my hair.

"Thanks, I don't do it often," I say while my eyes go to Jace. She notices and goes to the table. She sits down in front of one of the plates and starts eating. I go to Jace and he is just standing there staring at me. I wave my hand in front of his face and he then snaps out of it. He grabs my hand and brings me into a closet. He turns on the light and closes the door behind him.

"What are we doing in here," I say confused. He then pushes me up against the wall.

"You need to stop dressing like this," he says, putting his hands on my waist.

"Why do I think it looked cute," I say, putting my head down. He then takes one of his hands and puts it under my chin bringing my face up.

"You are adorable. You are driving me crazy when you dress like this," Jace says while leaning in closer. "I love your hair like this," Jace says, putting one hand on my face and keeping his other hand on my waist. I lean in closer, pushing my lips on his. He starts kissing me back immediately. I put both hands behind his neck. He starts to deepen the kiss when I get a text on my phone. We pull away and I see a text from Izzy.

"Come on Clary, stop making out with Jace. We are going to be late for school," Izzy says with a smiley emoji. I start to blush when I see the text. I open the door behind Jace and push him out. I walk out of the closet and close the door behind me. Once I get downstairs, I grab my keys and go to my car. I wait for everyone to get in and then I turn on the car. After about 20 minutes we finally arrived at school.
