20 Is The Coma Over?

(Jace's Pov)

When I get in the greenhouse, I go straight to the bench Clary and I always sit on. As soon as I sit down on the bench, I get multiple memories coming at me at once. Then I start thinking of my favorite memory of us. Clary is sitting on the bench drawing and I come up behind her and take her sketchbook out of her hands. As soon as I do, she gets up trying to grab it from me. After a bit, she gives up and sits back down with a pouty face. I return her sketchbook to her and kiss her cheek and forehead. She starts to giggle and tries to hide her face from me. But I then grab her waist and start tickling her. After she has had enough, she gets on top of me and kisses me as a way to get me to stop. Which worked, we continued to kiss each and every one getting more passionate. She finally pulls away to take a breath. Then all of a sudden there's this big flash of light and I hear Alec call my name.

"Jace!" Alec screamed; you could hear the worriedness in his voice. I turned around wondering why he sounded so bothered.

"What's wrong Alec?" I ask while I make my way towards him. When I get closer, I realize there are a little bit of tears in his eyes and his breath is out of control.

"Something is going on with Clary." As he speaks his voice cracks. He starts walking out of the room because he knows that I will follow. As I walk out of the room my steps seem to be getting faster and faster until I am sprinting to the infirmary. I bust through the door to see that Clary is still laying down, but she is floating in midair. I grab her hand and try to make her go down, but before I can hold on long enough, I feel a slight stinging in my hand. I looked down to see that it was reading and smoke was coming out. I quickly let go and checked my hand, somehow, she burned me. As I'm looking at my hand, I hear this slight pulsing sound, I look up to see Clary glowing gold. Every second the glow was getting brighter and brighter until I couldn't look at it anymore, it was like a mini sun. A few minutes later she stops glowing and is gently put back on the bed. I quickly got up off the floor and ran to her side. I brush my hand past her face, sweeping some hair out of its way, once I'm done, I grab a hold of her hand. I stare at her face to see that she starts squirting. Her eyes start to flutter open, when I notice this, I sit up more and tighten my grip on her hand. I sit there in anticipation, waiting to see if she is waking up. After a few minutes, she finally opens her eyes and starts looking around the room. I feel a smile creep up on my face.

"Clary! Oh my god, you are alright," I say feeling so much joy, I quickly stand up and hug her. As she hugs me back and we both stay there for a bit. When we both let go, I kiss her cheek and go back to sitting down grabbing her hand.

"What happened?" Clary asks while looking up at me.

"Jonathan planted a bomb in my room. When we were by the window, he pressed the button. You have major injuries because you were closer, for me, it's just my leg." I say looking down and away from Clary's eyes.

"When did this happen?" Clary asks quietly.

"It's been about a few weeks, almost a month," I say, choking up on some tears. "I'm so happy you are back. I missed you so much and was so worried that you wouldn't make it. Magnus said if you didn't wake up within a month you wouldn't make it. " As I said this more tears continue to fall down my cheeks. Clary notices this and sits up a bit, but as she does this she gasps in pain. She tries to ignore it and pulls me closer and into a hug. "I love you so much. I can't lose you. " I say still not letting go of her.

"I love you too Jace, always and forever." She speaks. I feel her tilt her head and give me a little kiss on my neck. When we finally pulled away, my mind went to what happened before she woke up. "What's up, what's with that face?" She asks.

"Before you woke up you started floating and glowing gold. Do you remember anything when you were asleep? " I ask. When I asked this, she looked confused and then quickly answered no. I thought it was weird, but she did just come out of a coma. I then remember that no one else knows that Clary is awake. I run to the door and run outside to the infirmary. "Guys Clary is awake, but let's take it slow," I say. Everyone gets up and comes in slowly. When Clary sees this, she starts laughing.

"Jace I'm fine they can come in," she says smiling happily. Everyone comes in and as soon as Izzy gets in the room she runs to Clary and hugs her tight while squealing. Clary hugs her back, but I can tell that she is in pain. "Izzy, I missed you too, but I kind of need to breathe." Izzy starts laughing and let's go giving other people reunite with her.

"Um, I am going to go and let you guys reunite. I'm going to shower." I speak. I walk towards Clary and gently kiss her forehead. I then make my way to my bathroom.

(Clary's Pov)

When Jace leaves, it's just Alec, Izzy, and Magnus. Alec is standing at the edge of the bed and he looks really tense. Magnus then comes over to me and sits down on the bed, grabbing a hold of my hand.

"How are your biscuits," Magnus asks with a concerned look.

"I have been better, but okay," I say shrugging.

"What was with you glowing?" Alec asks while he crosses his arms. a

"Um, I have no idea. But when I was in the coma, I could hear everything. When that was happening, I had a vision." I speak.

"What was the vision?" Izzy asks.

"I was in this blank room and all of a sudden it started to glow gold. Then this symbol popped up and it looked like it was pulsing. I think it was a rune, but I have never seen it before. I don't think that it's in the greybook. " I say thinking back on it. I looked around the room and everyone looked so confused. I kept on thinking about what has been happening, but as I was thinking this the things Jonathan was saying popped in my head. I pushed that aside and went back to thinking about my vision. "It's like it was trying to tell me something. When Jace asked me, I said I didn't remember anything. I need to figure out what's going on with me first." When I said this, everyone gave me a worried look.

"Biscuit you have to be careful, okay? We are all here for you," Magnus spoke. I just nod and lay my head back. Magnus then grabs Alec's hand dragging him out of the room.

"Izzy come on, let her get some sleep," Alec yells. Izzy gets up and waves goodbye. I close my eyes to try and get some sleep. But my mind is filled with so many thoughts. Next thing I know I hear the door open and close. I lift my head and see Jace walking towards me with his shirt off and wet hair. He comes over to me and I scoot over making room on the bed. He sits down and lays down, wrapping his arm around me. I wrap my leg around his and lay my head on his chest. It seems like he knows I don't want to talk and I'm grateful for that. I close my eyes and feel him kiss my head. After a bit, I am finally able to fall asleep.
