13 Finding a Weapon & Another Function

After leaving his house, he is trying to upgrade his Star Beast Wolf Bloodline while he walks on the commercial district.

He just learned that the Star Beast Wolf Bloodline is actually hard to upgrade. The cost to upgrade it is 1,000,000 Points, which if it really follows the pattern from the costs of upgrading ability rankings, then that would mean it have the same cost as a Rank 94 Ability.

This meant this Bloodline is very strong. It will give a lot of benefits to him.

It is unfortunate that it costs a million points. It's the same cost as upgrading the income of his Idle Points itself. He already decided to upgrade his income when he reaches a million points. For now he will focus on the cheaper upgrades until he maxed out everything he can possibly learn.

His eyes flitted through products on the stalls, before quickly moving deeper into the commercial districts. This side of the commercial district doesn't have what he needs. It only focuses on farm products and other types of foods.

So he goes to the section of the Commercial District that he hasn't visited yet. The side where most Cultivators are hanging out.

He knows of where it is generally located due to the people around him who always kept talking about this place. As this world barely have any entertainment on this world, it seems like topics about Cultivators are very interesting for the common folk. So they always talked about different Cultivators and where they go or come from. This place is one of it.

"So this is the side of this district that Cultivators frequents at." He exclaims in amazement.

This is the first time he actually saw a group of very beautiful women and handsome men gathered together in a single area. Most of them are clamoring around or just casually talking to the others. They look like they are just normal citizens if someone ignore that these are Cultivators.

He looks very out of place here, though he didn't care. He have only one objective why he came here. To acquire a weapon.

Shops that sells weapons are mostly those targeted to Cultivators. A normal citizen can't possibly afford it, so only Cultivators who are always rich regardless of their walk of life can buy something like this.

He has some spare cash on his pocket. It's all the salary he got from working at Old Wang's barn. He thinks he can buy at least the cheapest one in this stall.

He quickly got to one of the stall when he saw that they are selling some cheap looking swords. He saw that no one is going there so he thinks this stall is not that popular. That's preferable to him.

He have no preference when it comes to his weapon. He don't need some hidden artifact or a fancy thing to fight against monsters. He also didn't want to cause any trouble because obviously, the Cultivators here will somehow see him like a sore thumb and cause trouble to him. His getup is practically asking to be picked on by these arrogant bunch.

So an unpopular stall is a better option to him. He can get his weapon and no one will trouble him because no one will be interested.

"Hello, I would like to buy this sword." He simply carried one of the sword bundled on the box and showed it to the stall owner.

"Woah!?" The stall owner gasps before blinking his eyes as he stares at him in incomprehension, before seemingly realizing that someone is there. "That scared me! Where the hell did you come from!?"

'Oh right, I'm still using my Presence Concealment Technique.' He thought to himself while smiling wryly. "I just walked here. Anyway, I want to buy this sword. How much is this?" He quickly gets back to the topic.

"Oh that.... wait, can you even afford it? You look like someone living on the poorer parts of this city." The stall owner said with a scoff.

Normally, a Cultivator like him would have been offended and will be thinking how he will slap the face of this guy, but figuratively and literally. Though he is nothing like that.

Of course he frowned softly. Being insulted is not a pleasant thing. Though he can slap him bluntly by showing that he is capable.

"I have the money. Here, look!" He said while acting very nonchalant.

He might not like looking for trouble, but that doesn't mean he will let others insult him just because they can.

"Oh.... uh, sorry esteemed customer... yes, this amount will be enough!"

He didn't have the time to argue with the price. Within that pouch is just a fourth of his budget. Though he doesn't care if he was scamming him. He got the sword and the guy can take the money for all he cares. He can easily get that money back by working anyway. Also, it's not even a large amount. Just a two days worth of his wage.

He also don't know the normal price of the sword anyway, so he didn't want to argue something that he doesn't know. That will just cause a scene and it might even cause humiliation to him if they learned that he wasn't knowledgeable when it comes to the normal prices of the weapons here.

'Im not even going to come back here, so who cares!' He thought to himself with a shrug as he left the place.

He is glad that nothing cliche-y happens. He would feel very troubled if some arrogant young master or a concerned heroine suddenly tried to intervene with his stealthy shopping. He wants to be low profile.

Being embroiled by the Cultivators is just troublesome for him. As expected, having a peaceful life is much better than the dangerous life that cultivators lived out on a daily basis.

He looks at the sword and smiled. The sword looks pretty cheap, but he have a reason why he even chose it out of all the bunch on the box on that stall. It's structure are more solid than the cheap knockoffs bundled together with it.

He has the max level of Divine Sense and Appraisal. As this is a mortal weapon, it's quality can't escape his eyes.

He don't know if the sword is really in good condition. He is only basing it on the solidity of it's structure through his sharp eyes.

As he is using an Appraisal, his eyes widened when he suddenly saw a prompt in front of his eyes.

[(Common) Iron Sword] (+)

His eyes widened at that. He is so surprised that he stops on his tracks. Fortunately he is at the side of the road and is almost out of this district, so he wasn't blocking the road.

"Wait.... how?" He wonders as he looks at the sword again.

This is the first time he saw this function. He is very focused on his status that he really didn't try checking if he can also enhance any items through his power.

".... Wait, what if..."

He tried to look at his clothes intently through his Appraisal, and as expected it appears.

[(Common) Common Clothes] (+)

'I see!' He quickly realizes what is happening.

This is because of his Appraisal.

Now that he notices it, he has been only using his Appraisal on some of the objects randomly scattered on his neighborhood. He haven't used Appraisal on his possessions yet.

To further test it, he tried to take a rock and examine it with his Appraisal. It didn't show the prompt as it is not his possession. Now if he try to think that it is his possession, the prompt will appear.

[(Common) Stone] (+)

This meant anything he considers his own can be upgraded by him through his points!

'.... I have to try this!'

He felt so giddy that he immediately ran away from this place to get back to his home.
