The hologram tabs before Sensei disappeared when Lanse crashed his butt onto the chair before his desk. Lanse spoke in a gravelly whisper from trying not to yell, as if someone was listening outside the opened door. 

"I believe we both have things we need to take off our chest and I don't intend to say it nicely." His eyes shrank with the intensity of his stare. "Demote me when this meeting is over or not–I don't care."

Sensei raised one brow and the door shut with them both inside his office. He looked away from the glaring red eyes of his cadet and onto his desk. "It seems she finally told you the full story," came his dull voice. 

Those words striked the dead nerve in Lanse's head. His face twitched in all sections possible and he shot to his feet with his eyes flickering blue light. "What!" he blasted into Sensei's face.
