Did that bastard think he had her! Ha! Tess dashed for the tall glass windows on one side of the infirmary. The brush of wind at her back was from Lanse's spinning swords she missed. The shiver up her spine was short-lived as she dashed towards the blue sky from the outdoors.

With all her might she stamped her bare feet and made her highest leap. All hairs stood on end as she slammed her head into the window and broke through on the outside. Only the hair on the top and sides of her head blew as she fell, confirming Lanse had chopped the back off. 

"Aaaaaaah!"

Lanse dropped his jaw after Tess jumped through one of the windows on one side of the infirmary. Those windows were on the bare side of the waterfall, meaning she was in for a thousand feet drop. That idiot!
