Lanse and Szedra had already reached Tess lying on a levitating stretcher. Zino moved her aching body while keeping Zack at her side to reach up to them. When she saw the angriest expression on Lanse, all her wounds fired up. She figured it was due to the state of his unconscious darling laying before him.

Zino shifted her attention from Tess when Zack pulled his arm from around her shoulder. 

"Zack…" was all she got out. 

Zack stood with his back hunched like an old man. "Thanks, but I can stand on my own," he said in a hoarse voice. "Since I'm not missing any limbs… I'm going to rest in my room and heal once we get back."

The Chewlete natives thanked the guardians for their help. Though the outcome was unfortunate, they were glad they exhausted all their options. They suggested they let their unconscious teammate remain to get proper treatment. 

Lance objected. "No. That won't be happening."
