226 Chap 226: Call from the Dark PART3 (sect. 26)

The red bulky monster kept up the organic shield connecting to its tummy by a spike. The mouth at the back of its head remained open after Zino teleported to miss the blast from it. Luckily, she stopped in time before smacking into the wall of the dome. 

Lanse gave different orders through his telecom. He and his team were to attack the monster with all they got, hoping to sever the bond when it was near-dead. 

Tess decided to obey but would stop any attempts to kill the host. Never had a host survived a triggered mutation, and she could not let the opportunity to find a cure die. Her future hung on the outcome of that mission. 

A deep voice came from the monster, stating it would fulfill the task given to it. Its red skin slithered over the host's face to close its head and two large glowing eyes formed on both sides. Long tentacles protruded from its shoulders and wiggled in the air.
