Lanse found it hard pretending to read his tab and giving the nastiest long-distance glare at the scum. He leaned on the wall around the pool area, while she laid on a lounge chair with cold fruit slices on her eyes. 

It was a shame Sensei introduced separate training. With her as his target, he could create a blast to blow her head away. Even better, he would rain a thousand sharp swords down on her if he could. 

Tess lifted one hand towards her eyes and raised her middle finger at him. He pulled his eyes down to his tab, realizing she was watching him with her foreseeing vision. 

His mind went back to taking the blame for the Primus soldiers using sorcery on his recent mission. Though Sensei declared the mission a success he didn't like that Tess broke orders and didn't get punished.
