11 Chapter 11: What If We Played a Game? (2)

POV of Dipper

"Alright, now that the teams are set, it's time to start and search for valuable items," I said, picking up a briefcase that should contain a computer.

Bill Cipher even went as far as to manipulate Dipper in the original show to prevent him from accessing the data contained inside, so I really want to see that.

"Uh, Dipper, are you sure this briefcase is supposed to be valuable or impressive?" Pacifica asked, doubtful.

I could clearly see her stressed as she watched Gifany infiltrate the old rooms of the bunker to help Mabel obtain information.

"Don't worry, we're going to win," I said before opening the way to a place that looks like a metallic closet.

"I almost forgot, Mabel, if you encounter me later, ask me something only Dipper would know, and if I don't know, shoot me with the laser gun," I explained quickly before losing sight of her further in this place.

"Okay, but why?" she asked, confused.

"You'll understand after you've shot me if I don't answer correctly, or you can just read the information in the journal on your U-Watch," I said, gesturing for Pacifica to enter the metal cabinet.

Once inside, I activated the hidden mechanism of this place to gain access to the depth of the bunker.

"What is this place?" Pacifica said, looking around, completely fascinated.

"I present to you my future second laboratory, but I would need to restore it," I said, looking around.

[Beep beep] my U-Watch sounded.

"It seems we are not alone," I declared, looking towards a more distant, poorly lit part of the cave.

"How do you know we're not alone?" Pacifica replied skeptically.

"This thing has an integrated sonar, and over there, something is moving," I explained one of the capabilities of the U-Watch.

"What? This thing can really do that?" she said, amazed.

"Follow me and you can confirm it," I said, taking my laser sword in hand and preparing my flashlight in case the adversary was stupid enough to discuss with me.

Although my U-Watch has several functions, including a laser blade, I feel more comfortable with my old laser sword, which is similar to a Jedi's.

Now that I think about it, I've never used the supernatural object I confiscated from Gideon's corpse.

As I was lost in my thoughts, realizing that without knowing it, I was a cheap Jedi.

My sonar started to emit louder and louder sounds to indicate that I had reached the target's distance of a few meters.

"We should normally be able to see the target," I said, looking around without seeing where this damn monster is hiding.

After observing carefully, I finally discovered that the sonar had led me to a group of rodents, precisely rats.

[Beep beep] The sonar detected a huge commotion behind Pacifica and me.

At the time, I should have been more cautious, but I had underestimated Gravity Falls.

POV of Mabel

"So, Gifany, did you find anything interesting?" I asked, slightly impatient.

Although Dipper's last words have made me a little uneasy, I'll still follow his advice and be wary of him or Pacifica if they come back suddenly.

[I found some information related to this place], Gifany replied through the speakers of the old computer that seems to be managing the bunker.

[I must admit that Dipper will appreciate it, since the owner of this place is conducting experiments on the creatures of Gravity Falls], Gifany explained in a good mood.

She has always been very concerned about Dipper's thoughts about her.

Sometimes I wonder what Dipper based her personality on when he created her.

"M... Mabel, help!" a familiar voice echoed.

"Dipper?" I said, heading towards the place where they had gone.

[Mabel, where are you going?] Gifany asked.

[We should avoid separating in this place], she said, but Mabel seems to have ignored her, as her gaze was still directed towards the dark side of the bunker where the voice came from.

"Don't worry, Gifany, it's just Dipper, look," I said, pointing to Dipper as he approached.

"I... I've had trouble," Dipper declared, falling to the ground.

Without hesitation, I rushed to his side to see if he had a serious injury.

[MABEL, MABEL!] Gifany shouted through the speakers of the bunker's machine, but unfortunately I remembered Dipper's advice a little too late.

"Di... Dipper," I said, looking at my legs starting to bleed profusely.

"Sorry to be so brutal, but the owners of this place managed to escape, so I don't want to take any more risks this time, haha!" said the thing impersonating Dipper.

"I congratulate you on moving away from me at the last second, I didn't want to injure your legs, but to tear them off, Grr," he said before groaning in pain.

*Bzzzz*

After realizing it was not Dipper, I didn't hesitate to use the laser gun function of my U-Watch to shoot at it repeatedly.

Although the first shots effectively hit it, it started to change shape chaotically before trying to flee.

"You have a very dangerous toy, my dear, but that won't be enough," it declared before striking the ceiling with a tentacle to make the rocks fall on me.

I was injured in the leg, so I couldn't really run or try to dodge the falling rocks.

I activated the second function of the U-Watch that Dipper insisted I use if I was in danger, which is called the U-Shield.

After activating it, a light shield emerged to surround me.

"You're tougher than I thought, Grr..." it said before suddenly screaming in pain in the middle of its speech.

The creature seems to have received a laser gun shot in the back while it was facing me.

It tried to put distance between us when it realized it was being attacked from behind, but I couldn't let it regain control of the situation.

So I started shooting at it too.

After a moment of firing at the creature, which was trying to escape despite repeated failures, I was able to see Dipper and Pacifica behind it.

The creature had started to stop moving in all directions after a few minutes of shooting, probably due to its numerous bodily injuries.

Dipper approached and used his flashlight to shrink it.

"Stupid creature, I'll send you back to your creator after studying you to the maximum of your usefulness," Dipper declared in a tone of voice I had never heard from him before.

"Are you okay, Mabel?" Pacifica asked, examining my legs after I deactivated the light shield of the U-Watch.

"I can't get up," I said painfully, trying.

Pacifica tore a bit of her clothes to make me a makeshift bandage.

"We should take you to a doctor, but for now, this should suffice," Pacifica explained reassuringly.

"The monster problem is solved," Dipper said nonchalantly, walking towards Mabel and Pacifica with the monster biting his hand, trying to break free.

When Dipper approached us, Pacifica tried to slap him.

"All of this is your fault," Pacifica shouted, looking at Dipper as her hand was firmly grasped by him to block her attempt to slap him.

"Because of your stupid game, Mabel could have lost her life," she said in a clearly annoyed tone, yanking her hand from Dipper's grip.

============================

Author's Note: Yes, Dipper messed up and underestimated a creature that almost beat Ford Pines and Old Man McGucket when they were negligent.
