30 The Set

Suji was looking through the window, looking at the passing high-rise buildings of Seoul. Asking, "Are we there yet PDnim?(~)"

"Almost" JYP looked back for a split second and nodded. He was currently driving so he couldn't be distracted for too long.

Jaemin was currently surfing the internet on his brand new phone, which was quite funny, cause he already had seen the better versions of it. And those versions, currently didn't exist yet.

That was one thing that was truly unbelievable, knowing some things of the future.

Another thing that was unbelievable, was that he was getting more popular by the day.

He had neglected the amount of fame he got from being a model a little bit, he hadn't realised that he'd become so popular only because of that.

He had done a few runway walks and starred in a few advertisements for some everyday products, like cereal and other beverages. He was a model for a few clothing brands as well, but nothing too popular in that aspect.

But even though he thought it was nothing special, it clearly was. His looks were getting a lot of attention.

Some reporters even began assigning nicknames for him, like: "CF King", "Korean Prince" and "Rising Universe Star"

He also gets recognized by a decent amount of people on the street, almost everytime he went out.

And even if they didn't recognize him, they'd stare at him because of his exceptionally good looks.

When Dream High airs, it's going to be even more so. Most of the teenagers and young adults would then begin to recognize him. The adults and elderly don't really watch shows like Dream High, they tend to like historical dramas more, like Moon Embracing the Sun.

It's actually pretty petty of him, his plan for the future is basically Kim Soo-hyun's whole career. He was going to steal it without regrets though.

Most people didn't know this, but Soohyun landed his roles in Moon Embracing the Sun and My Love From the Star and The Thieves because he starred in Dream High.

Now that he had stolen the most important role, he will obviously steal those other, more popular roles, as well.

"We have arrived" JYP announced, while getting out of the car.

He and Suji both got out as well.

He already saw some of the camera equipment, the real set that everybody knows is right inside of this building, he thought.

And out of nowhere, the Dream High OST started playing in his head.

And when he went inside....

The amount of nostalgia he got, really, was insane. This area, he recognized it in just mere seconds. It was Kirin High School!

Moments like this, they were the best.

He looked around for a bit, it was his first time being at a filming set after all. There was a lot of staff present, and the whole area was covered in lighting- and camera equipment.

A few female staff members came hurrying over to them.

"Ah finally, there you are. So this is Suij, and this isssss....???" The woman couldn't let the words that she had planned to say out of her mouth when she saw, this godlike looking youngster.

She had seen a picture of him before, he was indeed very handsome, but what in the world is his appearance?! She couldn't help but to admire him.

She was more than two decades older than him, and then she is still losing her calm like this!?

Is he some kind of heavenly gifted saviour? How had he gathered so much karma in his last life to be able to look like this?

He just thought she had forgotten his name, he often forgets about his looks since he isn't quite used to it yet. He had lived a whole life looking average at best, he didn't really encounter any situations like this, so it was only logical that he couldn't recognize them.

"Kim Min-jae, nice to meet you." He gently and politely bowed, almost like how a noble from the royal families would have done in the past, and smiled at her.

It was something he had to do, he couldn't act indifferent or cold towards his elders, people could find that disrespectful.

And you know, when celebrities, especially idols, make even one mistake, they get absolutely bashed by everyone with false rumours and speculations about them. Their so-called true fans do an instant one eighty on them, turning their back against them, joining the rest in the long fray of hate.

It was true that he prefers to act cold, but that doesn't mean he has to act rude, he can, and must be polite, especially towards people that are older than him.

He wasn't really experienced when it comes to handeling these kinds of matters, but he at least knew this.

"A-ah, y-y-yes of course. Follow me please." She was stunned, his smile was so appealing! He wasn't even flirting with her, he was just being polite!

JYP looked at this situation and laughed, Suji didn't notice it, she was too busy exploring the set. It was her first time at a set as well, so she was as suprised, if not more suprised than he was.

Keep in mind, she hadn't debuted yet, Miss A's debut was July 1st, and it is June 2nd right now. She hadn't experienced anything like this before, just like himself.

He was also looking around, and he spotted his co-stars.

Taecyeon and Wooyoung were there, a lot of other people were present as well. He recognized a few of them, he had seen them in the drama. He hadn't seen IU, Lee Ji-eun, yet though.

It wasn't that he was looking for her, it was just that he was curious about what kind of person she was. He only knew the IU that is shown onscreen, not the real Jieun that she really is. He was going to treat her like a stranger, not as a celebrity. Maybe even as a friend in the future. If he acted like a fan, it would hinder the growth between their relationship.

Just like how celebrities don't really date their fans often, but not to such a degree.

IU had already made her debut, but she wasn't very popular yet.

He was still less famous though, since she had already appeared on numerous variety shows, while he had only appeared in a few runway shows and advertisements.

He started walking towards Taecyeon and Wooyoung to go and greet them, since he had already met them once, and Taecyeon twice.

They were labelmates, they sometimes encounter each other.

But while he was walking towards them, he felt someone tap him on the shoulder.

He turned around...

( Author Note: Honestly, I hadn't planned to write the parts where Jaemin is on the set, since the real story actually begins in the end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014, and in the story, it's still only 2010.

I will write more things regarding Dream High of course, but I don't know if I should do the same with his other future projects until he debuts as an idol, in detail. If viewing it from my aspect, it makes it very boring, and very long. Almost like a filler volume.

I won't skip over it, but I won't write about the daily life of Jaemin, if you get what I mean.

I don't really want to continue writing this novel after 10 years you know xD. I don't have the ability to publish a chapter a day without the quality of the chapters dropping. And I don't plan on surpassing a 1000 chapters, so I hope you guys can give me some advice on what you would like.)
