46 Hallyu's New Guy

20/12/13

Jaemin drank his last shot of whiskey in his dimly litted apartment and grinned emotionally, "I really did all this... I still, still can't believe this....."

He had finished filming The Heirs, The Thieves, My Love From The Star, Moon Embracing The Sun, Dream High and even Secretly, Greatly. He had won awards, girls's hearts and maybe even boys' hearts....

His popularity, after The Heirs finished filming, literally skyrocketed.

It became an even bigger hit than it was in the past, solely because of his performance and influence on the rest of the cast. The other celebrities in the drama like Krystal from F(x) and Park Shin-hye also noticed a dramatic increase in both their income and popularity.

He truly became a star part of the Hallyu wave after that, which was something to be very, very proud of. The biggest reason why he was recognized as a Hallyu star was mostly due to his increasing fame in the U.S and Europe.

The Heirs was naturally the main reason for this.

My Love From The Star, the one drama that was literally the most popular overseas in the past, was already on it's way. The first episode had already been broadcasted two days ago.

It was a well-known drama already, due to the fact that both he and Jun Ji-hyun starred in it. Not only that. but also because of the plot that basically deviates from the current norm. It fit more with the standards Westerners had.

He felt incredibly satisfied knowing that he had done everything he had planned to do. There was no greater joy for him than accomplishing a goal, that in the past, seemed impossible.

All of his friends and family were also super proud of him, cause they were all constantly congratulating him on his large period of success.

His life was literally what he had wished it to be...

Almost.

It hadn't all been good, there was something that bothered him greatly.

He became emotionally unstable after that weird side-effect of the system. He was even a bit affected before all of that happened when he thought about it.

He became easily angered, easily excited, easily depressed, easily tired, all of it. And it didn't even have to activate for that to happen.

Man, he even fell in love easier.

He couldn't really specify that habit of his as 'love' but he also didn't know how to desribe it elsehow.

Pretty girls, of course they caught your attention, his as well.

But he wasn't that kind off person before, someone who was already swayed by looks alone. And because that had changed, he didn't really like to interact with girls anymore.

Everytime he was invited for a dinner or something like that, he always refused, saying that he was either busy or sick. He began to shut himself off, to prevent him from doing stupid things.

It was the same situation now, he was sitting alone in his apartment.

Every girl that he had to act with....

He definitely felt some strange things while shooting. He always kept staring like his eyes were literally glued on them.

For example, if he had to shoot a kissing scene or an intimate scene, he did it for real.

Not professionally, but for real.

That didn't mean he caught massive feelings for them, but more like that he really kissed and hugged them intimately.

It could be viewed as a sort of; 'Taking advantage' of them.

And when he began to notice that, he got legitimately scared of himself for a while.

If this continued on, wouldn't he become an emotional wreck?

He coudn't live like this forever, shutting himself off from the rest when his work was over.

In the near future, this was even more so.

Today was already the 20th of December.

GOT7's debut was soon, and JYP had notified him of that.

The group was already formed.

He, BamBam, Jackson, Mark, Yugyeom, JB and Jinyoung

It was a legendary line-up, but it carried along one big, one very big troublesome matter with it.

His high popularity compared to the others.

It was a problem that JYP had racked his brain over for a while. He was a part of this process as well. He would outshine the others if he joined just like that, eventually preventing them from becoming as good as they were in the past.

And after a shitty long time of thinking, they came up with a solution. It wasn't necessarily a perfect one, but it would function well enough for it to have some effect.

JYP had created various promotional activities for those individuals.

It was his biggest project yet.

He was going to make the other members famous by letting them appear on not only Tv frequently, but also on radio, variety and other shows. So that GOT7 would become a group solely consisted of famous and talented people.

This idea was almost impossible to pull-off correctly, but JYP decided he'd still go all out for this.

And his effort was already showing results.

BamBam, Jackson, JB and Mark became popular by appearing on a completely new drama that was created by the company itself. It was called: For Us: It's You

Four guys fell in love with the same girl, the girl however, fell in love with none of them.

It was a drama about finding love, coming to know what it was, and how to handle it.

It had finished airing a few months ago and it was quite a hit. It's popularity was a little bit higher than Dream High's, because it was the absolute first time for an entertainment company to do something like this.

The cast was also young and good looking. They had even invited, guess who, Park Min-young as the female lead!

The ratings however, were a tad lower.

They were still good, very good for a drama even.

But they were all new to acting after all, they couldn't win any awards except the Netizen's choice award.

All in all, it was like a better version of Dream Knight, without him and Jinyoung.

Yugyeom became quite well-known as a dancer as well, due to him participating in Dancing With The Stars in Korea.

He didn't win, but he became third place.

Yugyeom even started making youtube videos of his dance covers, that received quite a bit of attention as well.

Jinyoung however, was shining the brightest out of them all, he became an actor as well.

And his debut was even crazier than Jaemin's, he started acting a lead role right of the bat in I Hear Your Voice.

How?

It was all because of Jaemin.

It was very unrealistic that Jinyoung could replace Lee Jong-suk in a drama.

It was due to the fact that Jaemin was offered the lead role, but requested it to be passed on to someone else.

That someone was Jinyoung.

Of course, he had to audition and he had to do all the other necessary things. He also got offered a lot less than Lee Jong-suk, but he eventually got the role.

Jinyoung even won the Best New Actor award on his first time, just like him.

The drama wasn't as popular as it used to be, but it was still better than almost all of the drama's that starred idol celebrities in them.

And now that JYP was soon going to be announcing the fact that he was going to create an idol group solely consisted of actors, and a dancer, the Korean population would probably go mental.

Jaemin felt quite bad for Youngjae, but he would probably join Day6 in the future. He was a very talented singer.

Maybe it would become Day7 in the end?

Jaemin laughed and said, "Who knows...."
