4 She is an idiot but not a fool

It's almost been two months since Eunuch Tang visited and the whole realm was back to its original state. Hu Li Fang didn't dare dawdle on his job and tighten the security even more less they suffer the same attack as the warriors from the jade palace are carefully guarding the entry way of the realm which earns a few laughs from Huang Syaoran.

Did the emperor really think that they could trap them like a mouse inside here?

A realm as powerful as exodus would have a few portal open in every world but since the death of its mistress those portals begun to disappear, however since Huang Syaoran kept supplying it with the necessary mana it was no doubt that a few of those portals would open up in some random places far from the discerning eye of the Jade emperor. Of course, this knowledge was limited to only Huang Syaoran, Hu Li Fang and the two personal maids of Fan Dandan. The less people know the better.

"How many warriors did the emperor send?" Huang Syaoran asked. His face resting on the palm of his hand as looked at Hu Li Fang. Without skipping a beat Hu Li Fang answered immediately "About 10,000 of his best warriors, and probably the remaining soaring dragon squad." A deadly glint sparkled in his eyes as he remembered how half of the squad that was nurtured by the emperor died in vain as they didn't even get close to the object of their goal: Fan Dandan.

As long as Huang Syaoran gave the order they can easily wipe the forces that the emperor sent.

"Let them be." As he notice Hu Li Fang intentions. "We can easily take on his men, but if he sent his children or come here himself it would pose a problem as we are no doubt weaker than him." Hu Li Fang can only grit his teeth in frustrations as Huang Syaoran told him the cold hard facts.

"As of now Dandan is really weak that even a small force of Qi from that Eunuch would cause her fatal injuries." Back when Eunuch Tang made an appearance he let his aura Qi ran wild, thankfully he was holding Fan Dandan at that time and surround her with a barrier only him could notice. They need to bluff the Eunuch that Fan Dandan was still powerful even though she had just recently awaken les they try to run rampant. He needed the emperor to be on his toes in fear that his powerful daughter would seek him out anytime she wants, and with Fan Dandan invitation to the emperor to come her personally would mentally tire him out.

Was this a trap laid by her?

Huang Syaoran was right on the mark as the Emperor back in the palace was pacing back and forth thinking of ways to keep his daughter far, far away from him before coming up with an idea.

Meanwhile the center of the problem was just lazing around in her courtyard. Fan Dandan looked cute and stupid at the same time as she stuffed herself with meat buns. Her long white hair was cascading with no jewelry or flowers adorning her hair as she thought they were heavy and troublesome much to the annoyance of her maids. Both An Meilin and Tian Miao wore a dejected expression as their mistress didn't allow them to dress her up cutely. Noticing their crestfallen attitude she mentally sighs.

"Meilin, Miao, do what you want." The corner of her lips tug upward as the two maids immediately brighten up and start doing her hair. They part her hair into two and twisted half of it into a bun and left the rest down. They then put some pins with blue gems and some peony flowers to compliment her eyes.

I look like neo queen serenity. She mentally noted. (￣▼￣) her eyes scan the mirror as she stares at her own reflection. She decided to put it down and continue eating the meat buns while allowing her maids to have fun with her hair. Fan Dandan eyes lit up when she saw at the far end of a table two brown ears peeking through it as it struggle to climb up. It was only two inches tall and had red beady eyes as it slowly made its way to Fan Dandan, carefully carrying the plum fruit before offering it to her.

Fan Dandan lips tug upwards as it accepted the cute critter gift. She gently patted its head before putting the plum in her mouth, chewing it carefully. The little critter watches her intensely as if its gaze could bore a hole in her body. Watching her swallow it gaze became more intense that a bit of its Qi leaked out that it was notice by the two maids who stop whatever they were doing.

They look back at the table and paled instantly but recovered their composure. This is the second time that the emperor rat has infiltrated their mistress realm.

Watching afar, Hu Li Fang and Huang Syaoran were sweating noticeably as they already knew that cute critter was a rat created by the emperor. They both knew the consequence of their actions but they were willing to bet on their mistress abilities to hold on.

The Jade emperor sent the critter to test if Fan Dandan still had the ability to bring him down as he watch from the critter's eyes. His gaze narrowed down when Fan Dandan flashed a cold smile. He grasp tightly at his sleeves as the familiar feeling of fear slowly crept towards him.

"Thank you so much. I'll be sure to return the favour soon."

The emperor face turned purple as he cough blood before scowling at the face of his daughter.

Is this a threat?

He quickly called the critter back and immediately ran towards the other direction. Hu Li Fang didn't miss a bit as it throws a dagger towards it when the critter was no longer in Fan Dandan radar. Instantly the critter emitted black smoke before vanishing.

"Mistress quickly takes the fruit out of your mouth!" The maids cried out in alarm. They knew of Huang Syaoran plans to let the emperor spy on them but the severity of the situation far exceed their own imagination. The exodus realm is full of wonders a tiny fruit like the plum could strengthen a middle tier person, but their mistress health was fragile and what's more her soul stayed in the lower tier one could imagine the consequence. Although it won't take her life as long as she stays in the realm but the pain she will feel will be excruciating.

"Dandan!" Huang Syaoran lifts her up and places her in the table before examining her. The two maids glare at their master for allowing their mistress to be in danger. Hu Li Fang was also coming towards them. His eyebrows furrowed as beads of sweat were visible, just like Huang Syaoran.

Fan Dandan looked at them apologetically before taking the plum out of her mouth.

"I— heard An Meilin talking to the other maids not to accidentally put fruits or food that came from this realm—so i…" Her voice trailed as she stuttered to explain herself.

Fan Dandan upon seeing the cute critter already felt something was going on because for the last two months, apart from the koi's on the lake no animal was present, for it to suddenly popped up out of nowhere was suspicious. Given her identity she knew she had to be careful. She is an idiot but not a fool.

Breathing a sigh of relief Huang Syaoran slumped on the chair and so did the others.

Great job Dandan for buying us time. Huang Syaoran helplessly smiled at his cute mistress. Now that the emperor had come here to observe Dandan strength he won't be coming back here for a while, nor will he try to kill her. Huang Syaoran knows what was going on that old fool mind. He won't attack as he needs every single force he can get before his daughter storm the palace.

"Starting tomorrow will start strengthening your body as well to start cultivating the Myriad will of heaven cultivation."

"Um." Fan Dandan nodded as she flashed a smile all the while hearing a pang coming from the people in front of her.
