[Before the villagers was saved]

When the knights retreated out of fear of getting wipe out by the goblins instead of staying they retreated and ran for their own life.

They then finally stopped gasping for breath.

One of the 30 knights asked with concerns. "Commander sir! What are we gonna do now? What will we do now?"

"Head back to the Headquarter and report the matter!" The commander said.

"But what if we all go back there all together, won't they suspect something?" One of the knight said with concern. It was truly pathetic that a dignified knights ran cowardly to save their own life. They might even shame the Knight association by this mistake.

"Of course i know! We just need about 3 people on our side, while the other 27 will stay near the village! Don't confront the goblins yet until i send a signal when we got reinforcements. We need to act so they will not suspect us." The commander said. All knights were all stupefied this was truly shameless.

"But sir! That's not very fitting for a knight. If words get out that we shamelessly did those deeds we might even be despised in our entire life!" The knight spoke his concerns again. This was truly shameless for a knight as them, they didn't want either option.

"So what?! We already ran out of the village this was a shame on out part." The commander yelled of course he knew that this was shameless. "I know! But if words get out that we all ran away from the village out of fear instead of protecting the villagers, That's even more worst! It's either we act or be despised forever and lose our job permanently!" The commander said. He didn't want to lose his position of commander. If they do it the shameless way, they will be killing one bird with two stones. They might either be rewarded by their own quick thinking and their bravery to fight with the goblins.

"..." The knight only kept silent. How could they not forget that they ran themselves? All the knights keep down their head low.

For a knight themselves they truly did lower themselves to a scum. This was truly a despicable act for all knights. If words gets out they would be kicked out of the Knight association and be despised by all people around them. They would be regretting this after that happen.

"But what if the villagers the tell the truth?" The knight asked again. All the other knight nodded. If they did those, Won't it go in vain in the end?

"HA! If we get rewarded for our bravery, who would believed that we ran away earlier?" The commander said. Of course who would believe commoners from nowhere instead of dignified knights? If they show that they were still fighting with the goblins when they brought reinforcement, they might even be commended for their bravery.

The 30 knights hesitantly nodded. Even if they value their life, they value more their own dignity. Even if this was shameless they had to do it, they had no other choice instead commit despicable act.

"From now on follow my lead! Cooperate with my plan" The commander looked around and said. The knights nodded.

"First my group of 3 knights will of course bring reinforcements back here as soon as possible. Then the group of 27 knights will stay here and observe the situation. Until i send the signal, you will then attacked the goblins for awhile, after we arrive, the reinforcement will take care of this matter afterwards. If things goes right we might be commended." The commander said. This was a solid plan indeed. This will not arouse any suspicion in them running away earlier.

All the knights nodded. They thought that this was somewhat feasible. So they agreed to take part of this plan. Even though some hesitated they still nodded.

"We only need only need about some time to get a reinforcements it won't take long for a about 1 day, but i'll try to come here as soon as possible. We only need a teleportation scroll and teleport back here. got it?" The commander asked.

All the knights nodded.

"Okay we will then be going then" The commander took two men to follow behind him to the nearest HQ. "Remember to stick to the plan!" he reminded them then turned around and running towards the nearest HQ.
