8 Chapter 8 - Enemy Defeated! But!?
As Theo dashed out, he willed for the [Basic Sword Art] to activate again and his sword gleamed with a translucent white glow.
He slashed at the rabbit as the tip of the sword hit the rabbit's left side of its body. The rabbit flew for 3 meters before landing back to the ground head first.
With the successful attack, Theo focused his vision onto the rabbit to analyze the damage he dealt.

"Its health has been reduced to half with a single blow? Not bad!"
Theo was quite happy with this sword although its name should be forbidden to spell out.
"It seems that the rabbit also did not expect for it to receive such heavy damage, was it trying to gauge my strength earlier on?" thought Theo with his brows creased together.
The rabbit growls again. Suddenly, a faint blue aura could be seen starting to emanate and surrounds it.
[Ting!]
[Mad Rabbit used a skill: Rabbit rush! The effects are accelerated speed of two times its normal speed. Lasts for 30 seconds.]
As Theo read the notification in a flash, his analyzing skill also picked up that the rabbit used all of its MP for this skill. It must have been its one and only skill!
"However, two times its normal speed is gonna be tricky, looks like I shouldn't underestimate it" Theo cautiously remarked.
Theo put on a defensive posture as he was ready to evade any incoming attack.
'Zush!' the rabbit finally dashed out, its speed is overwhelming! Even its image was blurred to the extent that Theo could hardly follow it.
"Damn it!" with a grunt, Theo did a side-roll to the left by instincts as he could not follow the movements of the rabbit at all.
'pshh!' the sounds of flesh being grazed by the rabbit's tooth sounded out.
Theo looked to his right ribs and blood flowed out! Thankfully, it was not deep and seems to be just a flesh wound.
Theo willed for his status screen.

"It seems my damage is around 20.. that's even higher than the damage I dealt it before!"
Theo felt that the world isn't fair to him. How could a meager rabbit be stronger than him? As he scrutize his info, he also realized that the use of the sword art skill took 10 MP, meaning that he could only use it 5 times per battle at maximum.
However, Theo realized that the rabbit could only make a single dash and couldn't make tight turns. This important detail was caught by him after the rabbit moved in a straight line and landed tummy first crashing to the ground.
Therefore, when the rabbit prepared to dash towards him again, Theo was already bending his knees slightly to quickly side-step to the left in a moment's notice while pointing his sword in the right direction.
"Grawhh!" the rabbit growl while leaping forward in an unstoppable momentum.
"Hmph!" Theo harrumphed contemptiously seeing the simplistic nature of the rabbit in front of him as it was sending itself to death's door voluntarily. He quickly side-stepped and sliced in a forward motion from the right to the front with his sword.
'Pshh!' with a grazing sound followed by a splash of red blood from the opened cut of the rabbit, it fell to the ground limpidly and stopped moving.
Dead.

"HAHA!" Theo was extremely thrilled for his first level up experience. He was feeling envigorated as green glow exploded outwards from him and both his HP and MP were replenished to the maximum. Even his broken forefinger were fixed back to its normal state.
Suddenly, Theo's attention returned to the body of the dead rabbit as a blue glow flashed out from it.
[Ting!]
[Danger detected!]
[The dead Mad Rabbit has automatically released its innate abilities upon death, 'Revenge of the fallen'.]
[Enemy reinforcement detected!]
'Swish!' 'Swosh!' rapid rustling sounds could be heard from the distance indicating movements fast approaching towards the location where Theo was.
One, two, three, four... Ten!
Ten Mad Rabbits in total surrounded Theo at that moment!
"Sh*t!!" Theo backed up slowly with full of alertness and quickly put up a defensive posture as the situation quickly turns South.
He needed to choose either to escape or fight on.
