6 Chapter 6 - The Forefinger Technique!
"Hah that feels a lot better!"
After relieving himself onto the nearby bushes, he started to walk confidently towards the Great Forest. Had any of the villagers from the crowd just now to witness the place where he had pee'd onto, they would definitely throw a fit of rage. The bushes was in fact a farmer's plantation of some kind of a fruit that were to be picked up by bare hands!
He then started to walk slowly towards the Great Forest to the West of the village humming happily.
From the distance, the Great Forest doesn't really look all that impressive. However, standing at the entrance now he could feel a tingling sensation on his skin! Coupled with the cold mists emitted out from the ground, visibility could only go as far.
Gritting his teeth, Theo decided to venture just a little bit into this forest. He knew that it is dangerous, but he just couldn't resist the urge to try out his abilities that he just learnt awhile ago. After all, he was someone from the modern world, stuff like system and all only exists in the novels. But now, he had the chance to experience firsthand what it feels like to have a system!
Shortly after arriving at the outskirts of the Great Forest, Theo spotted on what seems to be an enlarged rabbit similar to the size of a 2 years old child with three teeths protruding out like an elephant's tusks. He squatted down and hide in the nearby bushes while observing the peculiar rabbit.
He then decided that this rabbit in front of him would become his perfect enemy to test out his skills. He quickly look around to assess its habits for a successful ambush.

Startled by the sudden sound of the notification, Theo was prepared to throw out all pretense and charged blindfully, thinking that he was discovered. However, as soon as he read the notification, he couldn't help but to become happy.
"Wahahahaha! As expected of a System, the Analyze skill is a definite necessity! With this information, I can definitely adjust my battle strategy accordingly." Theo remarked with a grin while his fingers doing the 'L' pose on his chin, still squatting down on the ground.
He looked like someone who is taking a big dump while contemplating on how heavy would his dump be in total after everything was flushed out.
"The skills and abilities are still in an unknown state." Theo pondered for moment before coming to a hypothesis:
"This can only mean that I need to battle with it first to unlock that information."
As he reached that conclusion and thinking about it again, he became clearer that it seems to be the case. Even in RPG games that he used to play would hide the opponents skills and abilities if he encounter them for the first time.
Theo was thinking as to why the deity would need to bother in giving him a balanced system and limitting its OP-ness when by the end of the day, the system would eventually f*ck everyone else the same.
Theo sighed and shook his head helplessly. Seems like the deity is quite noob when it comes to being OP.
As the rabbit gets closer, Theo was about to make his move when he suddenly recall an important factor that lead to this whole fiasco in the first place.
"Aiyoh! Damned that deity's a*s, that reminds me, how the hell could I use my Sword Art skills without a sword?!"
Theo was lamenting about the fact that, how could his starting gear be so poor? As if comparable to a peasant? Where was the assets of the Ruler? Where was the promised domineering privileges given to a person with the system ability?!
He cursed the system for being such a sham!
Calming himself down and contemplating a bit, a line of thought appeared on his mind.
"Hmm but in one of the novels that I've read before, an expert would only need a thin branch or even his own finger to replace a sword!" he exclaimed excitedly in his heart.
After giving it some thoughts, he went like 'F*ck it' and decided to just try.
Gritting his teeth, he first clenched his right hand fists tightly, and then extended his forefinger outwards as hard as he could while maintaining this hand position.
His heart is beating nervously at the moment.
When the rabbit got closer in no less than 2 meters away from him, Theo suddenly leaped out from the bushes and dashed straight towards the rabbit in a style mimicking like the ninjas in an anime that he watched before in his previous world.
Using his right hand with the extended forefinger, he willed to himself and yelled:
"Activate [Basic Sword Art] skills on my right forefinger!"
'Zzzzzttt!'
With a white, an almost translucent holy like aura suddenly began to converge and appeared on his right forefinger. Looking at this, Theo's lips curled into a wide grin and exclaimed excitedly in his heart:
"Success! HAHA!, this is so cool!"
As the rabbit was successfully ambushed, it staggered for about a second in a confused state of what to do. This one second delay is enough for Theo to dash and slice the rabbit up to shreds with his forefinger. Or so he thought in his mind.
In a clear quick wave of his right arm with a 'swish!' sound, the forefinger reached the neck of the rabbit in an attempt to behead the rabbit in one go.
What a domineering and resolved battle prowess!
Theo imagined himself to be the sword sage at the moment.
Just as his forefinger reached the rabbit's neck, a 'crack' sound could be heard like the sounds of a bone breaking.
A sharp piercing howl then reverberated throughout the forest. Birds could be seen flying away, obviously startled by the hideous voice.
"ARGHHHHHHH!" Theo couldn't help but to howled out in pain.
His forefinger was broken!
[Ting!]
[The skill [Basic Sword Art] has failed to activate. The physical body is not strong enough to initiate this move.]
"..."
"F*CCKKKKKK!" Theo was extremely incensed, hurting in both his body and heart! His pride shattered to pieces.
To think that what he envisioned to happen has failed miserably! Not to mention that he even got a bonus of a broken forefinger! What a disaster!
What was the use of the previous visual effects on his forefinger back then for?
As Theo was still vengefully feeling wronged by the system for not telling him in advance that his move would fail, a notification from the system rang out.

[The great deity Chronos, is amused by the host's antics.]
[In congratulating the host managing to appease the great deity with his performance, the system hereby grants the host, the epic-class weapon, Broken forefinger to commemorate this event!]
