11 Chapter 11 - House On Top Of The Hill!

When the notification rang, its messages totally startled Theo when he read them.

"My ability [Ruler's Kingdom (Lv1)] has been unlocked?" as Theo pondered for a moment with his head tilted 45 degrees down on the ground and his left hand doing the 'L' shaped pose on his chin, making him looked like an enlightened scholar. He wondered how did it even unlocked itself?

"Well, I'll check it out later."

After contemplating for a while, he decided to explore this new ability after he settled down properly in the village before the end of the day today. Turning his gaze to Samo, the village head, he asked with his hand clasped on his back, not forgetting to display his majestic image.

"Are there any empty land in this village that I can settle into?"

The village head thought for a moment and then replied hesitatingly.

"There is one big empty land above the hills, we have reserved it for nobles to built their houses as they usually love such places with open view to the sea."

"However.. we currently do not have enough manpower to built a proper house befitting of you sir Theodore.. Not to mention the resources it would need to built such a residence.."

The village head replied with a sigh in between his words, evidently troubled as to how they could build his house. Some of the villagers even started to discuss on which houses that are currently available that is suitable for him to stay.

Looking at this sight, Theo couldn't help but chuckled a bit and had to intervene in their discussion.

"Fellow villagers, about the house and resources, you need not worry about it. I have my methods to set it up quickly, so I would only need to see the land if it is suitable or not."

As the villagers heard this, they suddenly think about the phrase Theo just used when he spoke, 'to set it up quickly'. As their thoughts ran wild and imagined a tattered huts or tents with no proper walls and roofings. They looked at each other and faces of troubled expressions could be seen from their faces, seemingly worried that Theo wouldn't be able to accomodate himself properly.

This is because, even after all is said and done, to them Theo was still a person with status and power. With the culture of hierarchy and aristocracy strictly embedded into their society, not only would such a shabby house would not be fitting, it could cause endless troubles if nobles were to question them, taken as a sign of disrespect towards those of higher in status than them.

"Let us first go to the said empty plot, and I can assure everyone that there is no need to worry." waving his hands dismissively, he asked a man standing nearby him to show the way and they departed with others mostly following suit from the back.

...

*Pant pant*

"What a f*cking climb!" Theo exclaimed with shortened breaths. He didn't imagine that the 'hill' mentioned before to be quite high up. Since such places were said to be nobles favorite places to settle down, however, seeming that the hike was quite high, it was no wonder to see that there was no nobles living in this village as the climb was bad for the heart.

Even he considered himself to be quite fit but still found it hard to climb, not to mention the nobles that were typically fat with rounded belly from their extravagant meals. If they were to even slip a little bit here, they would inevitably roll all the way down the hills and crash onto a few houses, before continuing to roll to the beaches and finally to the sea for the sharks to feast on. That would truly be a catastrophe indeed.

Thinking up to there, he wondered whether this setting was purposely laid down by a genius in the village so that no nobles could live in these lands.

"Hachooo!"

The stoic man called Gosu sneezed up with green mucus flowing from his nose as he blowed them to the ground.

...

"Finally!"

Theo slumped down and lay flat all four limbs on the ground after reaching their destination. He was too exhausted to even stand up properly and had to recover his strength. He couldn't even bother to keep up with his grandeur disposition now.

Even the villagers could be seen sweating profusely and sat down while drinking water. They now looked like no less than third graders on their trip to camp in the woods for the first time.

Resting for a few minutes, Theo found his energy to slowly gather back and stand on his feet. He opened up the system interface and willed onto the [SHOP] category.

"Watch my fellow villagers, this is why I said to not worry about building my house."

Theo spoke calmly with gentle smiles on his face seeming to do something that was quite normal for him.

He raised his right hand with open palm and fingers stretched out in front of him. The crowd seems to be confused with this action of his.

"Buy the [Viking's Hut] for 10 RP and settle it there!" He willed silently.

Controlling the location and angles of the house to be settled on with his mind until he found the perfect spot, he confirmed the purchase.

[Ting!]

[Host has bought the [Viking's Hut] for 10 RP]

Shortly after, a burst of white light started to glow on the empty lot with a heavenly hums before it dissipated to the surroundings leaving in its place a new building in the previously empty lot in seemingly in an instant.

"..."

The villagers couldn't help but to fall into silence with mouth agaped. It would seem that their brains has stopped working all of a sudden that if one were to play pranks and pull their pants down, they wouldn't notice at all.

All of them couldn't help but to think of one word to describe the event happening before their very eyes simultaneously.

Miracle!
