15 The Results are out!
Standing by the book shelves in the library, Mia was going through some books.
"MIAAAA!!!"
"Huh?", startled by this loud call, she dropped the book in her hands.
"MIAA!....MIA!!!"
She knew whose voice it was.
She hurriedly picked up the book, kept it in its place and ran out from the shelves.
"Miaa….", a girl standing by the door smiled widely as she saw her.
All the other people and the librarian were staring at that girl with an annoyed look.
As the librarian was going to say something to the girl yelling by the door, Mia took long and fast steps towards her.
The girl opened her mouth to say something but before that Mia kept her hand on her mouth and pushed her out of the library.
"Are you crazy? Who yells like that in the door of the library, Gyuri?", Mia said with an angry face.
Without even saying anything Gyuri just jumped on Mia and hugged her tight.
'Huh?'
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!", said Gyuri while still hugging her.
"What? What happened?", Mia asked confused.
Gyuri let go of her hug and smiled at bright.
"Thanks to all that study, we did two days before the exams. Thanks to your scolding and hitting me whenever I needed…..I got….I got 87%!!!!!!!"
"What? Really?", Mia exclaimed while smiling at her happily.
"Yesss! Now my father would let me go to the tennis class.
He told me that if I don't get 75 plus percents I won't be able to go to the class, ever again….", Gyuri's eyes became a bit teary.
Mia just hugged her again and tapped her back gently.
She knew how tennis was so important to Gyuri.
"….Thanks Mia…"
"No, you don't have to thank me. This is all because of you.
You worked really hard and that's why you got what you worked for.
Congratulations!!"
They kept hugging for a while.
"Don't you want to see your marks?", asked Gyuri.
"Oh Right!"
Both the girls ran to the board where the results were displayed.
There was a lot of crowd around it.
Mia entered the crowd and tried to reach at the board, squeezing herself to get through.
"…Excuse …me…Umm…Excuse me….."
Finally she came to the front, panting.
She looked at the result board.

Mia stood there stunned.
Her head was blank and she couldn't believe her eyes.
"…..Kim Ray - 97%?"
Gyuri came beside her through the crowd. She looked at the result, her eyes widened.
Then again she looked at Mia, who was standing there like a stone.
Gyuri understood now what was going to happen.
She pulled Mia out of the crowd and took her near a window.
"Don't worry…Don't worry….Take some fresh air. Everything is alright…", Gyuri tried to console her.
Mia didn't move.
"Hey Mia!!!", suddenly a guy approached them.
As soon as Mia heard him, she came back to her senses.
"Mia, we've got same marks!
Congratulations for coming on the first place with me!", he said with a wide smile.
Ray raised his arm to give a high five to her.
But Mia didn't move and instead kept staring at him.
'Why?.....Why am I feeling this way?.....How am I not upset about this?....
What's wrong with me?....I am actually happy….! But, why?' This was what she could think.

"Haha…", laughing a bit Ray took her hand and did high five himself.
Mia's heart started beating really fast.
She couldn't understand what is happening to her.
Gyuri looked at her worriedly.
While, Ray was searching something through his pocket and he found it.
Bringing his hand next to Mia's face he said,
" Here. Take this candy. As a congratulatory gift! "
And he smiled happily.
Mia looked at him and then at the candy in his hand.
'He is so nice.'
She felt something warm in her heart.
The familiar heart melting feeling but this time it was out of control.
She could feel her face was starting to turn red.
Her fast beating heart was so fast now that she felt like it would leap out.
'My heart....It's running so fast…..What's wrong?'
She looked at Ray again, who was smiling as before.
She now just couldn't get herself together. She kept her head down.
Ray said again, "What's wrong? Here. Take this."
Now Mia's face was completely red.
She didn't want to show her face to Ray or anyone else.
Without even thinking and saying anything, she just started to run.
"Hey Mia….Wait!", shouted Ray.
She was hoping that he didn't see her face like that.
She wanted to take her red face away from him.
She kept running as fast as she could. She passed the hallway and turned to the staircase.
Watching her disappear at the corner like that, Ray felt disappointed.
'What happened? Did I say something wrong again!
Why do I say the things which make her sad?....Idiot!'
Looking at Ray's worried face, Gyuri said to him, "Don't worry. It's common actually.
She is not used to this type of results.
I'll handle her. You don't have to worry about it."
And then Gyuri ran in the direction where Mia went.
Standing alone by the wall, Ray looked out of the window.
'I hope she is okay….'
