19 The Gift...

"Wow…..", said Ray with widened eyes and amused look on his face.

"See, there are a lot of things here, so have a look around.", said Mia.

Ray started to wander in the gift shop.

There were a lot of things.

Soft toys, Show pieces, Greeting cards and a lot of beautiful things.

"Mia….?"

Ray called for her as he didn't see her beside him.

'Where did she go?'

The gift shop was quite big with different sections.

Ray saw in the greeting cards section, soft toys sections, but he couldn't find her.

'Did she go outside?'

As he walked towards the entrance, he saw Mia standing at the display glass of the shop beside the entrance door.

She was looking at something, which was at the display.

Ray couldn't see what she was looking at so he went closer.

It was a small glass globe on a wooden box, in which there was a couple standing in a dancing pose.

"Can I try this?", she asked to the employee working there.

She nodded.

Then Mia rotated a small lever which was on a side of the wooden box.

And suddenly music turned on.

As soon as the music started, the dancing couple also started to spin with some pink colored flakes flying around them.

It was like they were dancing in the flower petals.

The music was soft and smooth and the couple was looking really beautiful.

Mia was looking at them with a warm smile on her face and a soft look in her eyes.

"It's our limited edition for Spring.", said the employee.

Mia looked at her and then again at the music box. Then she looked at the price tag, her smile disappeared gradually and she sighed.

As she turned to her left to look at the other things, she saw Ray standing there looking at her.

"Did you like anything?" Mia asked.

" Huh?"

"Umm…The gift?"

"Oh Yeah….Umm…."

Mia looked at him confused.

"Umm…Actually, I am more confused now…

There are a lot of things here….hehe…."

He said scratching back of his head.

"Let's see….", she said and walked through the sections while Ray followed her.

They went through different things, Mia liked some and Ray liked some.

Finally they decided on one of them.

"Finally, Done!", Ray said with a loud sigh.

Mia just smiled.

"Why do you girls like such things?

I mean, what is the use of it. It's just beautiful for the eyes.

You can't eat it or even use it for something…."

Mia didn't say anything but kept smiling.

"Hey…", said Ray as if remembering something.

"Don't you want to get a gift for April?"

"Yeah, but I'll come again with Gyuri.

I had promised her that."

"Oh…Okay."

They got the gift and came out of the shop.

"Thank you, Mia."

"You are always welcome.", she said with a smile.

"…But I still think…..that the candies were the best option…"

"Oh, come on. Just give her this and if she doesn't like this then--"

"Then you'll give me an ice-cream treat!"

"Huh?"

"Yeah! And if I lose, I'll give you one."

'What? He really wants to give me an ice-cream treat?

That's...…that's GREAT!

That means, I'll get to spend more time with him!' , Mia smiled happily inside.

"Deal?"

"Deal!", said Ray confidently.

Saying goodbyes to each other, they parted their ways.

"See, see. Here, here.", Mia said waving at Gyuri who was far away and running towards her.

"Wait….W…why are you running so much?..."

Gyuri caught up with her; heavily panting.

"S...Since when, you are so fast runner?"

"See…the music box I told you is here…", and she looked at the display.

"Huh? Where did it go?"

Gyuri also looked at the display confused.

Mia gushed inside the shop.

"Hey….wait….."

'And she goes again….What's with her today?…'

Gyuri followed her with tired steps.

"Where is the music box I saw that day?"

"Umm…Sorry. Actually it sold out!" The employee answered.

"What? Really?", Mia literally shouted.

"Miaa….Shhh….", Gyuri said looking here and there, with a finger on her mouth as if telling her to quiet down.

But as soon as she looked at Mia, she saw her darkened face.

"I….I borrowed some money from my mom for that….", Mia murmured.

"Sorry…", the employee also felt bad looking at Mia's face.

"Actually only two pieces were left and it sold out today only…."

"Ohh…."

"It's okay Mia. Don't be so sad….

Come on…Cheer up…."

"Hmm…"

The girls bought the gifts for April.

But Mia's mind was not in the place.

Gyuri was also sad watching her like that.
