37 Mia stands up for Hana

The next morning, when Mia entered her classroom she felt the atmosphere was a bit different.

She noticed that everyone was standing with their friends and giggling in between them while looking in one direction.

When Mia looked that way, she saw that they all were looking at Hana's table.

She went closer and saw that the whole surface of the table was filled with mean comments.

Someone had written a lot of bad things about Hana on her table with the chock.

"Don't badmouth about people."

"Why did you come to our school?"

"Leave this school."

"You look so innocent but you are a b****"

"**** ***!"

And a lot of such things were there.

"See? That's what people think about her."

Mia turned back by the voice and saw So Hee sitting on her seat, her hands folded and a smirk was on her face.

"Did you do this So Hee?" Mia asked.

"Oh, No. No. I didn't do it.

At least, not alone.

Everyone in the classroom did this." So Hee said as she flicked back her hair.

Mia looked at everyone but she understood that no one was ashamed of what they have done.

At the same time, Hana entered through the door. As soon as she entered, everyone's eyes got pinned to her.

Avoiding eye contact, Hana kept her head down and started walking towards her seat.

People started whispering but she kept silent and came near the seat.

Looking at Mia, near her seat, she smiled.

"Oh, Mia! Good mor—" But at the next moment, she saw what was done on her table.

Looking at all those mean statements, Hana looked at Mia. Mia was also looking at her worriedly. Hana's eyes started to tear up.

"H...Hana…Listen...This.."

Hana quickly fixed her glasses and said. "I'll…I'll go and bring a cloth or something to wipe this."

Quickly turning back, she ran out of the classroom.

Mia kept looking in the direction for a couple of seconds.

Then she brought the duster from the board and started wiping those things quietly,

while others started talking about Hana.

"That pays for her...That girl Hana.."

"She deserves it!"

"Did you see her face just now?"

"Haha…Now maybe she'll leave this school…"

As Mia heard those things, her hands suddenly stopped.

"THIS IS NOT RIGHT," Mia shouted at everyone.

Looking at her furious eyes and upset face, everyone got surprised.

So Hee, who was enjoying this all till now, got up from her seat and came towards Mia.

"What is wrong with you Mia? Why are you taking her side?

Don't you know what she did to most of us?"

"I am not taking anyone's side here." Mia looked right into So Hee's eyes.

"I just want to say that..." Mia took a deep breath.

Calming herself down, she continued,

"Are you guys 100% sure, that she did that?" Mia looked around at everyone else in the class.

"Then who else would do such things, Mia?" So Hee asked.

"I don't know. But, I don't think she did all that.

She is not that kind of a person, guys. Did you guys look at her?

Can you say, that kind of girl can harm anyone?"

"That means, whatever Gyuri told me was right." April came forward.

"Huh?" Mia looked at her.

"Gyuri told me that for you, everyone is nice. You just become friends with anyone."

Mia looked at her confusedly.

"You are really naïve Mia." So Hee said.

"…She is tricking you with those innocent looks of hers. Don't you get it?"

"No, guys. It's not what you are thinking.

She is really not like that." Mia was trying her best to convince all of them.

"Do you have anything to prove that she is innocent?" Someone said from the guys.

"Do you have anything to prove that she is the culprit?" Mia counter asked looking at the whole class.

Everyone looked at her with puzzled expressions.

"Do you have a person, who'll tell me that Hana said all those things to them personally?

Or is there anyone, to tell me that they heard her say those things, with their own ears?"

On her statement, everyone went silent.

Mia folded her hands; she looked at April and raised her eyebrows like asking her the same thing. April denied by moving her head side by side.

Then Mia looked at So Hee and did the same thing.

So Hee looked at her and said hurriedly, "But, that doesn't mean she didn't do it!"

"And that also doesn't mean that she did it!"

So Hee became silent on this.

'She's got a point...to be honest...' So Hee thought.

While others started whispering again;

"Maybe…Mia's right…"

"But that Hana spread those rumors…"

"But no one saw her say those things, right?"

"Does that mean, she really didn't do anything?"

"No...I still don't trust that Hana…"

Hearing Mia's point, everyone started doubting themselves.

.

Suddenly, the school bell rang and the homeroom teacher entered the classroom.

Everyone went back to their seats, still thinking about what had just happened.

Mia was sitting in her seat and was looking at Hana's empty seat.

'She didn't come back…Did she go home or something?.... I hope, she is okay….'

Mia sighed.

'GYURI!'

Suddenly something clicked in Mia's mind.

'That's right!

Gyuri is the one, to whom Hana talked directly.'

Mia smashed her right fist on her left palm as she got the answer to her own question.

Her eyes twinkled in the act of realization.

'Now, Gyuri is the answer to everything.

She is the one who can clear all these things and prove whether Hana did it or not.

I must ask her.

As soon as possible....!'
