70 Her Favourite Spot!

As soon as Jun looked up he saw a small square door and a metal thing which was looking kind of a latch.

"It's a small door….Why I haven't seen it earlier?"

"It's kind of hidden. Hard to notice. Exciting, Right?" Mia said.

Jun looked at her and again at the door.

"There is the attic up there." Mia said before he could ask anything.

"Attic?" Jun looked at her with cold eyes. "You want to take me in the attic??"

"I won't tell you everything, just help me open it." She said and went towards her room.

She came out with a small stool in her hands.

Putting it down, right below that door she signaled him to get on it.

Unwillingly, he got on it and opened the latch. As he opened the door, a small rope ladder fell on him.

"Ow!"

"Right! Pull it open." Mia said.

Jun looked at her with narrowed eyes. 'That ladder hit me in the head…And she doesn't even care….' He thought to himself.

"What are you waiting for? Pull it down." Mia said again.

"Yes Madam." Jun said sarcastically as he pulled open the ladder.

"Okay." Mia rubbed her hands and then started climbing up.

She reached up in the attic. Looking down from there she said, "Come on now. Hurry up!"

"Yeah. Yeah." And with that, he also climbed up.

Until then Mia turned on a small bulb which was hanging down from the ceiling of the attic.

As Jun entered the attic, he saw the place was full with all kinds of stuff.

Big boxes, trunks, old furniture, things and a lot of dust.

"What are we doing here?" He asked again.

"Just wait and see." She said walking towards the big window at the end of the attic.

She unlocked it and with a little push the window was wide opened.

Before putting a step outside she turned back to look at him. "Follow me."

And she stepped outside in the dark.

"Hey!!" Jun shouted and ran towards the window.

But when he looked down he saw that there was a small area outside the window, around balcony sized but without the railings.

"Come out now." Mia's voice came from the right side of the window.

Jun looked in the direction and he saw her sitting down.

He also stepped out and carefully walked towards her.

"It's kind of dangerous…" He said looking down from there.

"No it's not. Do you want a hand?" Mia offered her hand to him.

"What? NO! Not at all. I can walk on myself." He said as he got offended by her words.

And step by step he carefully came towards her.

Looking at him like that, Mia giggled.

"What are you smiling for?" He asked annoyed.

"…Nothing. Just sit down now."

"Yeah.." And Jun sat down beside her.

"Good." Mia said and then she looked above at the sky.

He also followed her actions and looked above.

The sky was full of shining stars. Twinkling in the dark black sky, they were outshining the moon too.

"Aren't they beautiful?" Mia said without taking eyes away from them.

"Hmm."

Cool and refreshing night breeze flew through their hair.

No one spoke a word for a minute.

"I never knew this house has such a beautiful spot too." Jun said.

"I know right? This is the most favorite spot of mine. I am the one who found out about this."

"Really?"

"Yeah. And I come here every time I feel down or if I'm upset about anything. This place cheers me up.

Though I haven't come here for a while now, but I used to come here a lot."

"Do others know about this in the house?"

"Yeah they know. But you are the first one, whom I've brought here with me."

Jun looked at Mia in surprise. As he saw her smiling face lightened in the moonshine, a warm smile spread on his face.

"So?" Mia suddenly looked at him.

"Huh? So? So What?"

"Sooo….What had happened to you earlier? Are you going to tell me or not?"

"Ahh!! That…." Jun had completely forgotten about those thoughts.

"It was just….I donno….I mean…It will sound lame if I'll tell you that…"

"Lame? Not at all. I'll listen to anything. Just try me."

Jun stayed silent for some time but then he spoke up, "I am…I am just so nervous."

"Nervous?"

"Yeah…I mean I never thought about this entire singing thing so seriously….

Singing and playing guitar is just my hobby and I never thought that I will…you know ….do it as a profession…."

"So?.....That's what making you nervous….?"

"Yeah…Kind of….."

"But what's bad about it. I mean, doing what you love; don't you think it's a perfect thing?"

"Doing...what I love?"

"Yeah. Doing what you love!

For me, if we make our passion our profession then it's the best thing which could happen to us."

Jun was listening to her words carefully.

"And it's not only that. You not only love to do it, but you are pretty awesome at it. You have passion, you have the talent and the only thing you lack is self-confidence. And we can work on that!"

"We?"

"Yes. I'll help you. After all you are my best friend!" She smiled widely at him.

He smiled back at her.

Then both of them again looked above at the starry sky.

"By the way…" Jun said. "How are we going to do this?"

"You don't have to worry about it. I've got a perfect plan for it!" Mia said determined, making a fist of her hand.

'Now that's what makes me even more nervous…..' Jun thought to himself.
