16 Clear Mind and sorted out thoughts!

'SLAM!!'

The door opened with a loud voice and Mia ran towards the very end.

Standing by the railing she looked at the sky from the school's terrace.

She was panting very heavily.

She tried to calm her breathing.

Taking a deep breath and letting it out by her mouth she closed her eyes.

Her head was full of thoughts.

'I got 97, Ray got 97.

Both of us got same marks.

I am not the only one this time who has got the first place.

We both have got the first place.

....But….I am not at all upset about this!

I am absolutely fine….actually I am really happy about this!

This is not the real me….

What if there was someone else instead of him? Would I've been this calm?

Is this because - '

"Hey Mia?"

Gyuri's voice brought Mia out from her thoughts.

She turned back.

Gyuri was standing by the door. She ran towards Mia and stood in front of her.

"Are you okay?"

Mia nodded.

"Thank god…", and Gyuri sighed loudly.

"I was worried that you will be upset again…"

Mia didn't respond and turned back.

Looking at the scene before her eyes she smiled slightly.

It was the onset of the spring season.

The trees were waving their branches with the wind.

Both the sides of the roads were starting to get covered by the pink color of the cherry blossoms.

The cherry blossom tree by the main entrance of the school was also blooming.

It was looking really beautiful.

Gyuri also came beside her.

"….I just remembered, what happened last time…."

Mia, who was lost in the beautiful scenery before her eyes, looked at Gyuri when she started talking.

"…During last term exams, when Anha got 2 marks less than you, you were a bit upset at that time.

Because you thought that she is getting closer to you.

I know, you are really concerned about your marks. But you shouldn't be stressed out about it this much…."

"No, Gyuri. You got it wrong.

Anha is not my competition. She is really good friend of mine and I don't want to be her competitor.

The real competition to me is myself…", Mia said gazing at the scene before her.

"I was not upset because she got only two marks less than me…

I was upset because I got lesser marks than myself, which I had got in the last term.

I didn't get the marks I was expecting, and that's why I got upset."

"I didn't know it…", Gyuri admitted.

"I know that I am always concerned about my marks.

I know I am competitive.

And I love being on the first place which I really work hard for.

I always want to be in the first place!

And, I don't think there is anything wrong about it…."

"So…..Are you upset that you are not the only one this time?

You and Ray, both are sharing the title now…..", Gyuri asked.

Mia once looked at her, smiled slightly and again looked forward.

"I am not actually…..I am not at all upset…."

"Really? And Why is that?"

Mia didn't answer anything.

But in her mind she knew it.

'Because...

I LIKE HIM!!!

Yes!...

The boy who gave me the weirdest and cutest compliment,

The boy who helps everyone all the time and is kind to everyone,

The boy who gets very excited over candies and gets clumsy while eating,

The boy who jokes around and keep people around him happy,

The boy who loves playing football,

And the boy who is sharing the first place seat with me…..

YESS!! I LIKE HIM. I REALLY LIKE HIM.'

Looking above at the blue sky, Mia smiled.

Gyuri looked at her confused.

"Huh? What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I am just so happy right now.

It feels so good when all my thoughts are sorted out.

All the questions, confusions, everything is gone.

Like a heavy weight is lifted up from my head.

It feels so good….."

Gyuri didn't get anything at first but then,

"Oh! About the talk we had, right now?

Don't worry Mia. Talk to me whenever you need."

Mia didn't say anything but just looked at Gyuri and smiled again.

"You know what Gyuri….The next year is gonna be the best!"

Gyuri nodded happily.

Then Mia raised both of her hands in the air. She closed her eyes.

Warm spring breeze running through her hair tickled her.

" MIDDLE SCHOOL, 3rd YEAR….I AM COMING!!!!!", Mia shouted loudly.

She looked at Gyuri and raised her eyebrows, as if she was saying,

'What are you waiting for?'

Gyuri also raised her hands up like Mia.

"MIDDLE SCHOOL, 3rd YEAR…WE ARE COMING!!!!"

And both the girls started laughing.

"May we come in teacher?"

"Yes, come in."

Both the girls entered the classroom.

Gyuri went to her seat and Mia went to hers.

As soon as she sat down she noticed a candy on her table.

The same candy, Ray offered her a while ago.

Mia looked at Ray. He was paying attention to the teacher.

Mia took out her notebook and carefully torn out a page from it.

Then she wrote something on it and threw it to Ray.

Ray opened the note carefully.

"Thank you, Ray!

And Congratulations to you too!

I am really happy about it.

And sorry that I ran out like that before..- Mia"

The note ended with a smiley at the right bottom corner.

Ray smiled.

'Thank god! She is fine….'

He looked at her and saw that she was lying her head on her folded hands on the table and was also looking at him.

Their eyes met.

Mia smiled.

'Thump!'

Ray stared at her with widened eyes.

Coming back to senses, he also smiled at her hurriedly and immediately looked in the front.
