41 "Mark My Words!"

It was the last day of the mid-term exams.

As the bell rang, everyone got out from their classrooms.

All were looking relieved as the exam was over, while some were looking exhausted due to the past whole exam week.

Getting her bag, Mia went towards the class 3- B.

She was looking for Gyuri.

She wanted to talk about the conversation they had at April's.

'I was just waiting for the exams to be over…So that I can have a talk with her.

Not only about that day, but also about the things, which happened earlier.

About her changed behavior and also about the incidents with Hana…'

Mia was waiting outside the class, as everyone was getting out one by one.

"Oh! Hey Mia! So you are here again…"

It was the same girl from that bully girls' group. The one, who forced her to ask Ray, the other day.

"Oh Hi…Um…What's your name again?"

"Eun. I'm Park Eun."

"Eun! I like that name.

By the way, thanks for the other day. I didn't get to thank you, properly."

"No need to. Cause actually you didn't do what I told you that day and ran away without even asking him."

"Um…Well…Yeah…

Actually I got whatever I needed before even asking him….Hehe…"

"I saw Ray walking towards the bathroom when you two were in there.

I noticed that, when he came out, his expressions were totally changed.

He was looking really down at that time.

Then, during the time when April opened Ray's present, you smiled at him but he didn't."

"Wait…How do you know this?"

"That's not important.

So, after that, you tried to talk with him but he kept avoiding you throughout the whole party, right?"

"R..Right. But—"

"You know all these things, but you don't know one which is the most important."

"Which one?"

"He wrote a small chit for you."

"What? A chit?"

"Yeah…like a smalk letter and he sent it to you through one of the servants."

"What are you talking about? I didn't get any chit."

"I know. That's why I am telling you this.

That servant, by mistake gave that chit to someone else."

Mia tilted her head.

"You know to whom -"

"Don't tell me….Gyuri?!"

Ye Rin nodded.

"Then she went to him and they talked for about 7 minutes, in the kitchen.

After that, Gyuri came to you and reminded you that you wanted to go home early."

"Yeah…I…I remember this part…

But, how do you know all these things, in such a detail?

But last week, during our group studies, I felt something was wrong between you two. Not only you and Ray, but also with you and Gyuri.

Ray and you were really good friends. But since this year of school has started he's been treating you like a stranger.

During the group studies also, I didn't like the way Gyuri invited him to the studies.

I don't have any problem with him but she didn't tell you anything about it.

And I hate those people who call someone their best friends and end up breaking their hearts, intentionally. This has happened to me and I don't want to let this happen to anyone else.

Saying 'Bye' to Ye Rin, Mia went towards the bicycle stand.

'Everything is so messed up….Gyuri is changed….Ray is not even looking at me….

That 'Rumors storm' which came last month….And the things which Hana went through because of Gyuri…..And now this "chit thing"…Oh God....

I really don't know what she is thinking right now…'

Mia sat on her cycle and as she was about to start paddling, someone called her name,

"Mia!"

'Huh? It's…It's Ray's voice..He called for me?'

Mia's face lightened. Ray had called for her name for the first time in several months!

The last time she talked with him normally was at April's birthday party.

After that, he just pushed her away without even telling what she did wrong.

Mia turned her head in the sound's direction and her eyes lit up.

"Hey, Ray…" Mia said with the best smile she's got.

But soon she saw Ray's face and her smile disappeared.

'Why is he looking at me like that?'

Taking long steps towards her, Ray came right in front of Mia.

"I never expected this from you!"

His eyes were filled with disappointment and anger.

"Huh? Wh—"

"How can you say those things?"

'What is he talking about?' Mia was really confused as she was completely clueless.

"Weren't that enough, what you did to me?

Now, you are behaving like this?

I let slid some things of yours, but not anymore.

I am really disappointed and I really hate myself now, that I was—

Huhhhh…"

Letting out a loud sigh, Ray looked right into Mia's eyes.

His furious eyes made her whole body shiver.

Then he turned back and went towards his cycle.

A teardrop slid down from Mia's cheek and fell onto the ground.

The things Ray had said to her just now, were repeating themselves in her mind over and over again. The look in his eyes was coming in front of her.

She kept staring in the distant, standing there frozen, like a rock.

Sitting on his bicycle, Ray started going towards the school gate.

Watching him going away, Mia quickly wiped her tears.

'Get yourself together!'

She said to herself as she sat on her cycle and paddled towards him.

'I won't let him go like this…'

She paddled as fast as she could. Passing by him, she went further and crossed her cycle right in front of the gate, blocking his road.

Looking at her, blocking the way like that, Ray stopped his cycle and got down.

Mia also got down from her cycle.

Then she didn't even wait to put the cycle on stand, she just pushed it very hard to the ground and walked towards Ray.

A minute before, the face which was all sad, and the eyes which were teary were now turned red and were spilling fire.

Looking at Mia's face like that, Ray was also shocked.

The students going around were now staring at both of them.

Standing straight, folding her hands, Mia spoke up first.

"Whatever you said right now…take it back!"

"…"

"I said take back whatever you said right now."

"I don't want to talk with you anymore. Just stop this here and let me go."

"NO! Apologize to me, right now, right here!"

"What?"

"And if you don't want to, then give me one proper reason for you talking to me like that."

"One? There are many!

Don't you know what you did? Ha!" Ray laughed.

And then picking his cycle up, he walked towards Mia's.

He passed through her and as he was about to cross her cycle,

"I don't know what sh** you are hearing about me…

But the person who's telling you all this is...…GYURI, right?"

Mia said without turning back towards him.

That devilish look in Mia's eyes and that smirk on her face was making her look really scary.

The students, standing there, watching all this were now trembling in fear, looking at her face like that.

Ray stopped in his way.

"If you even lay finger on her or try to harm her –"

"Hahahahahahaha…." Mia started laughing like crazy.

That laugh of hers was making her even scarier.

"I'll harm her? Not at all. I would never do anything or say anything to her.

But.."

She clenched her fists, "But the day when she'll realize her mistakes is not so far.

It is gonna happen soon and that day...That day, you'll also get buried under the filth of your own guilt, Kim Ray! The way you've treated me for the past few months; you'll regret it all.

Mark my words!"

Walking towards her cycle she picked it up.

And without even looking at him or anyone else around, she rode off.

Everyone saw Mia's scary side that day, but no one saw the streams of tears flowing down her face, when she was riding off.
