167 Fever

Darkness clouded the sky and night fell upon the beast world.

Noah woke up from his sleep when he heard feeble whimpers from his side. He turned to his side to only see his cubs' anguish-filled faces. 

He stretched his hand forward and touched their foreheads. Noah immediately panicked by their high temperature. Males were normally warm but the cubs' temperature now was too much.

"Babies?" Noah scooped them into his arms and tried to wake them up but their eyes remained tightly closed. The only relieving thing was the rise and fall in their chest which indicated that they were still alive. Then he also noticed that once in a while they whimpered as though in some kind of pain. 

Without wasting any more time, he tucked them back into the bed and went out of his room towards the second floor.
