10 Who's the Hybrid?

Suddenly soldiers barged in, pointing their guns to Jin.

The Head laughs while the others look at Jin with disgust.

Eunica stands without knowing what to do.

"What did we do? He did answer everything we asked him to!"

She said while looking at the head whose smile was devilish.

"What? Did he? From what I know, you were whispering with each other! Were you planning to go against us? What is it?"

He shouted while his eyes scream that he's planning something.

"He said that five of his friends escaped, but there were only four who did. What is happening?"

The head looked at Jin then clicked his tongue.

"Soldiers! Take this animal down!"

He ordered while pointing to Jin.

"Don't worry, Angel. They won't hurt me. Hyung won't let them."

Jin's voice assured Eunica.

She nods then walks towards him.

As she nears him, her footsteps get slower.

She feels like her feet are heavy, her heart's pounding, and she's shaking.

"I won't hurt you," Jin said.

He bowed his head to let Eunica pet him.

She reached for him.

At first, she was hesitant.

Her hand's trembling.

Jin noticed that she hasn't touched him so he adjusts his head to let her hand touch him.

"Your fur is so soft!" She giggled while petting him.

"Soldiers! What are you doing?" The head shouted.

Nobody pointed their guns, they just watched in awe with what is happening.

Jin never let anyone pet or get near him before.

They will either die or lose an arm or a foot.

Eunica was enjoying herself.

Jin was letting Eunica feel comfortable because if something happened that will make him hurt someone, he doesn't want her to be afraid.

"You're so beautiful," she whispers as both of her hands reach for him.

Her eyes landed on his.

'Sapphire eyes...' she thought while thinking about her Aunt, 'you look like her, too.'

He suddenly purred when she touched under his chin.

She giggled while she repeats it, making herself drown with his purrs.

"Gosh, you're so cute," she smiled.

"No, you're beautiful." Jin forgot that Eunica can hear him.

She blushed then lets go of Jin.

"'m sorry, Angel but I mean it."

He brushed his face to her, tickling her with his fur.

"HEY! I AM HERE!"

The head was holding a gun in his both hands.

One was pointed to Jin and the other to Eunica.

"Now, tell me everything hybrid! What happened that night?"

He was grinding his teeth to his anger, the Head's veins were almost popping out.

Jin growls.

He walks to hide Eunica behind him.

"I told you, he answered them earlier."

Eunica watches as Jin walks.

She's behind him but she can feel the danger that roams around the room.

"No! I want everything out now! Everything!"

Jin looked at the Head like he's a pitiful prey he will devour.

The head then gulps.

He then realizes what he's into now.

The people he was with already run for their lives, even the soldiers were inside the observation room.

He's the only one who's there.

Jin's growls sound like a bell for his death.

His strength suddenly got lost.

He dropped both the guns and his legs got weak.

His devilish smile earlier changed to a pathetic look.

He bowed down to the floor, begging for his life.

"Please, please, please, please... No..." He cries.

Jin continues his growling while looking at the head.

Eunica ran in front of him and he saw Jin with the most bored face while looking at the Head that he's trying to scare away.

"I'm waiting for him to run for his life amd scream like a little lady." Jin said to Eunica.

'You want him to run?' She thought.

She then walks as swift as a cat and when she was in front of the head, she jumped and shouts,

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The head stood up without looking at them and run like Jin's chasing him.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! HELP MEEEEEEEE!" He screams.

Jin laughs while stomping his right front legs.

"HAAHAHAHAHA"

Their laughter filled the room.

It made them feel like they were the only one in the world.

The people inside the observation room were panicking.

They both know that it won't last long.

Jin rests on the floor, Eunica laid on his leg.

"This is fun."

Eunica said while trying to catch her breath after the long laughs.

"Ah~ I wish we can stay like this." Jin answered.

He then laid his head on the floor while looking at Eunica's smile.

But someone suddenly barged in,

"Doctor Arlene!" Jin said.

Eunica sat and looked who's the doctor.

She was tall and thin.

She looked like a model.

"She's pretty," she whispered.

"Yeah, she'll help me return to my human form."

Jin stands up then walked toward the doctor who smiles at him.

For a second, she felt jealous.

The doctor looked so mature.

She can protect Jin.

She can take care of him.

While Eunica only hides behind Jin.

"Eunica, are you feeling all right?"

The doctor was standing in front of her, she looked worried.

'Why does she know my name?' she asks.

She reached out her hand to help Eunica stand up.

Eunica took it, she looked at Jin who's still in his animal form.

"I need you to go back to your room. Syp will be here any minute. Don't worry. We're your friends." She whispered.

Eunica just looked at her then to Jin, "Go, I'll be fine. See you tomorrow," Jin said.

She walked towards Jin and caressed him.

"Bye." She said then she rests her head on his.

Trying to take every second with him.

Syp then arrived, signaling her to leave.

She has to pretend she doesn't know her, and she usually gives people she doesn't know a sharp look, so she did look at Syp sharply making him stop on his track and watch her go out.

"What's her problem?" He asked Jin.

"Nothing, she said she's got to act like she doesn't know you so she looked at you like that," Jin answered.

"Seems like you're getting closer again. You can hear her now?" Dr. Arlene said while taking out the injection.

"Yeah, but she doesn't know I can. I hope she'll remember me but.. it doesn't matter, as long as she'll never forget me anymore," Jin looked at the injection.

It was a bit large.

He's scared because he knows how painful it is.

"Angel, can you hear me? If you hear something don't come back here, okay?"

Eunica was on her way to her room when she heard Jin.

"What?" She asks.

She knows that he can't hear her.

"Don't come back, they will hurt you if you will. So please, don't. Stay in your room."

She stopped on her tracks.

"What do you mean?"

She looked back.

Her feet were about to run back when she saw the soldier so she went inside her room.

Jin didn't say anything after.

She was walking back and forth in her room.

A roar suddenly echoed.

Eunica heard it even though she's inside.

"What happened?"

She was about to go out of her room when she heard soldiers talking outside.

"Yeah, if she heard that inside her head, she's activated. He's in the containment room, we all know that no sound can escape that place even if he roared. "

"What? Activated? Hybrids only do that."

Eunica can still hear Jin's cry but she got curious about what the soldier was talking about.

They are talking about her.

She leaned and pressed her ears to the door.

"Yeah, she's a hybrid. They just removed her animal DNA and they erased their memory."

"What?"

"Uh uh, the boy's talking about the first owner of this institution. The kind ones. She's the original hybrid created. She's the science kid! The first kind that wasn't from the natural borne hybrids."

"What? I'm a hybrid? What? How?" Eunica kept on listening.

"Oh, yeah. I remembered seeing her before. When she was just a kid, even though she's a part Himalayan cat, she was one of the most dangerous hybrids. Fast, small, and those paws."

"I'm a cat? WHAAT?" She whispers while looking at her hand.

Suddenly Jin's cry stopped.

"Oh, they said it's done. She didn't come out."

"Maybe she's not activated."

"Yeah, because they deleted her animal DNA."

"Let's go."

She went to her bed and laid down.

"I'm a hybrid? How?"

After trying to pick the pieces of everything she found out, she went to the bathroom.

She took her shirt off and looked at her back.

There was a scratch on her back.

It was not a simple cat that did that.

Its paws were larger than a cat.

She went to take a shower while thinking.

"Okay, I remembered that a large cat did scratch my back while shouting run."

The warm water flows down her body.

"Sup Yong Park saved me."

She washed her hair.

"And I remember that dream. I was in a laboratory at that time, I know it."

Her head suddenly ached.

It was not normal pain.

It feels like her brain's going to explode.

Her vision got blurred.

Her legs weakened.

She knows she was going to faint but she tried to hold onto the water from the shower, thinking that it's a rope.

"Stupid," she said before fainting.
