15 Wake Up

"Jin's awake!"

With that, Eunica ran as fast as her feet can keep up with her heart.

Every beat is as if it wants to race with the other.

She did not bother if she'll lose air when she arrives at Jin's room.

'I thought he'll wake up in two or three days? Anyway, I am so excited!'

Her smile is as wide as a butterfly catcher, she might've even caught one since she can feel it in her stomach.

'Running's a good thing, he'll not notice my blushing face!'

She stops slowly to exactly arrive in front of the open door of Jin's room.

She tries to suppress her smile, but her jaw can't take hold of it.

Her heart still beats fast as if she's still running, her face heats up and the butterfly she caught can't stand still.

"Hey," Jin greeted her before she can even say her hello.

"Hi," she said, stuttering.

She does not even know what to say, she just stands at the doorway while some nurse assists Jin.

He's not yet in a good condition, his voice was so faint but maybe because she was too eager to hear it, she did, when he said 'hey.'

She slowly went to him as he watches her with a smile.

'I missed you,' they both thought while they were staring at each other.

'Why are you my cousin?' Eunica thought before sitting on the bed.

"How are you?" Eunica asks while watching Jin slowly sit, "Hey, no. Just lay there."

"I'm feeling, you know like I woke up from quite a long nap. My head hurts," Jin said smiling.

"Yeah, you had a long nap," Eunica answered. She was about to hold Jin's hand when Dr. Arlene entered.

"You ran fast! You were not excited," Dr. Arlene said teasing Eunica while looking at her.

Eunica signals Dr. Arlene to stop. She had a hard time to hide her excitement but now Dr. Arlene will just spill it.

"Oh, so, how are you, Jin?" Dr. Arlene asks Jin.

"I'm feeling a bit, you know," Jin answers.

"..like I woke up from quite a long nap," Jin and Eunica answered in unison making them look at each other then laughs.

"Okay, so you still have to stay there for a while until you regain your strength," Dr. Arlene smirks when both of them answered together.

"So, I got this from Syp, he said that Eunica loves music," Dr. Arlene takes out a music player.

"What! Where did he get that?" Eunica stands up and walks to Dr. Arlene joyfully. It was a long time before she last listened to music.

"And here, it's yours to get rid of your boredom. Maybe Jin would love to listen to your music?" Dr. Arlene gave Eunica the player and signals her to get her tapes and to Eunica's excitement, she ran to her room.

"Well, she does love music, doesn't she, Cael?" Dr. Arlene looked at Jin.

"Yeah, she does. I remember that day when we danced all day when you played music," Jin smiles, remembering Eunicas funny dance moves while he just sways his body.

"I am sorry for the side effect of the medication. I took your time away from your beloved," Dr. Arlene whispered.

"Sh! What if she heard you?" Jin suddenly sits up, but his head ached, making him lay back again.

"Don't worry, this will end," Dr. Arlene went her way outside, meeting Eunica at the doorway.

"Aren't you going to listen, Dr. Arlene?" Eunica asks while holding a bunch of music tapes.

"No, I have to make reports and check on people, you know, doctor work."

Dr. Arlene went on her way back with the nurses while Eunica sits down on Jin's bed.

She fixes the tapes to play music, "This one's Colour Me by Juke Ross, this is a piece of very fine music," Eunica said pushing the play button.

The music then starts to play,

Those gleaming eyes and freckled smile light up the night

Eunica rests her back and laid down on the bed while her legs sway on the bedside.

Jin then closes his eyes to feel the music and the singers calming voice.

"There will never be an end

To this love my dear friend,

Paint me red in places once filled with gold,"

Jin thought if everything will really be back like before.

He thought if he, if ever, will have a good life with Eunica or if he'll stay as a hybrid that was supposed to fight their own kind.

Eunica, on the other hand, curses her DNA because it's related to Jin.

"Hey, Jin," Eunica called out. She was staring at the ceiling.

"Yeah, Angel?" Jin opened his eyes and peeked at Eunica.

"I missed you," Eunica said.

Jin blushed, suddenly his headached vanished and he felt fine and warm.

"Yeah, I missed you too."
