11 The Start of the Game

"Sir, I am sorry. I really am, they just kept on whispering with each other and it annoyed me and ---"

The 'fake' head kneels down in front of Syp inside the Observation Room.

Doctor Arlene was still checking Jin who is unconscious in the Containment room.

Syp just looks down on him with a cold expression.

"Please sir, don't fire me. Please, I will be kind to that hybrid."

The 'fake' head looked at Jin with disgust, making Syp lose control.

He took the 'fake' head's collar, making him hang from Syp's large hands.

"He has a name. It's Jin. And you, I will never want to see you again here."

He moved him closer to his face.

His voice was low and he was almost whispering which made the 'fake' head whimper.

"I will do my job from now on."

He lets go of him.

He landed on his knees while crying.

His fears made him shiver.

Syp was known to be ruthless ever since the new President took place.

Anyone who disrespects him will leave the institution with either broken bones or broken life.

After numerous reports about him, the institution made a fake head for soldiers to act accordingly without fear of something.

Syp then worked with the papers.

But now, he knows what the President is up to.

He also needs to move since they have the Eunica to win.

"Ah, leave. If I ever see your face again, you'll leave this place without it."

He looked at him with his eyes opened wide like scaring a little kid.

The fake head ran away, leaving him laughing.

He looked at everyone inside with them in the observation room, looking for the people with the fake head earlier.

"Who were those people with him?"

He asked Rin.

"The Assistant Secretary, two scientists, and one hybrid keeper who shot Jin with the tranquilizer," he reported.

"Okay, you can keep what you saw and heard to yourselves. I will take care of everything now."

Everyone left.

Syp went inside the containment room.

"How's Jin?" He asks.

"He's doing fine but he'll be out for quite some time. You know how weak he becomes after turning into Cael."

Doctor Arlene looks at Jin with concerned eyes.

She never thought that Jin will hold Cael for a long time.

"Just to protect her, he let Cael out. You know how that he hates Cael, he hurt Eunica before. The scratch on her back."

Doctor Arlene then began to walk towards the observation room.

"Take him to his room. He may sleep for two days, let Eunica know to prevent her getting worried. It's also bad for her health to be stressed. Her involvement with her past may make her remember things."

Syp took Jin and carried him in his hands.

'He's so light,' he thought.

"Yeah, I remember. I need to check on her."

Syp pressed the button on his I.D.

"Eunica? Everything's fine now."

After a moment, Eunica didn't answer.

"Eunica? Are you sleeping?"

Doctor Arlene looked at him, worried.

"How's she?"

Syp just shrugged, "Not answering. Maybe she's sleeping."

"Okay, let me know if something happened to her."

She then left, Syp followed after.

"What? WHat? WHAT? He will take charge? Do you know what that means? Everyone aside from the President and the Vice President will be our enemy! He was the only one who kept us into power. Making him work inside his office gave us the power over every animal in this place!"

The Secretary was walking back and forth in her office while the 'fake' head was standing before her.

"What's your name again?" She asks.

"Juda," he answered.

"Juda, I have a new job for you and if you will finish it, you can be the real Head of Force," she smiled while looking at their group photo when her brother was still the President.

"I will not let my husband's hard work go to waste just because of Syp."

She nibbles her nails while looking at Juda who smiled widely.

"Yes, Secretary Luinn! But how about the girl and the hybrid? Can I kill them after?"

The Secretary looked at him sharply.

"Don't touch any of them. If one of them gets hurt, and if you ever do what you did with Cael again, I will kill you myself."

She turned her back from him then signaled him to leave.

'I won't let them hurt my son anymore,' she thought while trying to avoid her tears to flow.

"Huh, why does everyone tries to protect that hybrid? If I will be the Head, I can kill him and get away with it," Judas made his devilish smile outside the Secretary's Office.

Eunica woke up with the same headache while bathing in the water mixed with her blood in the shower.

"Ugh, why did I only remember everything?"
