24 Let's Go!

"Can you give this to my sister?" Secretary Luinn handed Jin a gift box.

Jin takes it and immediately looked what's inside, "I thought it's a bomb," he said.

It's a handkerchief and a necklace.

The secretary frowns with what Jin told her.

"Look, Jin. I don't know what may happen in the future. So, I would like to clear things between us," The secretary sits on Jin's bed.

"When I learned that I was going to be your mother, even though you're not from me, I was filled with happiness. I was not married when I had you. Even if you were an experiment, I love you like my own flesh and blood."

Jin tried to cover his ears, but something stops him from covering his ears.

It's the longingness for the truth.

Why she abandoned her.

Why she was afraid of her.

"Eunica's mother, Lara, she was a friend. But when she was suddenly sent to experiment her, I began to hate Angelo." She clenched her fist and grinds her teeth as she remembers.

"Angelo wanted to have a child who is a hybrid. He didn't know that Lara is a hybrid. He played the life of their child. When she became pregnant I also volunteered to be a mother of the second hybrid created. I didn't want her to be alone. And when I learned that you're living inside me, that you accepted me as your mother, I love you."

Jin heard his mother sniff.

'She's crying?' he thought.

He's leaning against the wall which made it hard for him to see her face.

"And then she went into labor, I already knew something is wrong since she grew thinner and weaker."

They didn't notice that Eunica's standing outside. She slowly walked and hide behind the wall.

Jin heard her but he lets her listen.

He thought she doesn't know what his mother is talking about.

He thought she still can't remember.

"The baby took her strength, it was too strong for Lara. Since its body was altered, even Lara, who is a hybrid can't control something that is not natural. As she was giving birth, the baby suddenly had her hands turned into paws. Her claws were long and stretched out and it caused internal bleeding for Lara, though she's a hybrid, it's not natural for a cub to stretch their claws during birth."

Eunica suddenly stopped her breath when she heard how her mother died.

"I cursed Angelo. I suddenly felt afraid of you. I was afraid that I can't give the life that you need to survive, but also, I was afraid that I'd die."

Secretary suddenly lets out her sob as she feels the feelings that she had that time.

"I was afraid. I lost my best friend, but Dr. Arlene came. Yet she told me the truth that I have a high chance to fail to give birth to you alive. She said you're weak, I cried and cried. I didn't want to lose you. But miracles happen, you're here. When I first saw you, I know that we look nothing alike except for our eyes, it's the same color, it's not about you getting it from me but because of your hybrid genes. But I told my self you took it from me."

She looked at Jin.

He was just leaning on the wall while looking at her.

"Yet... I knew that when you turned into your animal form the first time and I can't handle you, you were only a cub. You stretched out your paws, and I remembered what happened to Lara. I got scared of you. I neglected you. I left you alone."

She looks away from Jin.

'Scared?' Jin thought.

He can't believe that that was the reason she grew distant from him.

"I told my sister, Laika, that I am afraid. She went here to meet her nephew but Angelo took her away too. They got married. I was left alone again. Until I met Jeff Luinn. They wanted to work at our organization so I recommended him with his friend. But when I found out what they are up to, I hesitated at first. But he said he loves me, and I need it. I need someone who will love me. I joined them and betrayed Angelo. He deserves it. He deserves to suffer. He took everyone from me. You were supposed to be mine but his sick mind turned you into something..." she stops.

"Something terrifying? Something that might kill you?" Jin said.

"No," She looks at Jin and puts her hand on his knees.

"No," she shakes her head, "You were the most beautiful thing I ever saw, you were something that he can easily take away from me because he created you. You were not mine to own," she puts her hand on Jin's cheek.

"I know, I did the worst. I am the worst mother, so I asked my sister to look after you, while she's taking care of Eunica, she was taking care of you as well for me."

Eunica suddenly sniffs.

Jin heard her and he looks at the door.

"I love you and I will continue to protect you from afar. I will fix this mess I made. You will get the happiness and freedom that you and the others deserve, don't worry. I won't betray my son, my lovely sweet son," The secretary moves closer and kissed Jin's forehead.

Suddenly Jin's tears stream.

He remembered that she used to call her 'my sweet lovely son' when he was young.

She loved him.

The pain of her staying away from him covered her love and he began to hate her.

"I love you. So, now, go. I will protect you and Eunica. I will destroy him. But I don't know what to do with Angelo, I will only do this for you and Eunica."

She looked at him.

His crying face is full of loneliness.

His tears tear her heart.

She hugged him and wipes his tears.

"She's waiting, be careful and... I don't want to be a grandmother when you come back," she chuckled ans stands up and wipes her tears.

"Mom," Jin softly called her.

"Yes, I love you too," she walks to the door with a smile on her face.

'This might be the last,' she thought.

She knew that Luinn will kill everyone who's against them.

Even her.

When she opened the door, Eunica was standing in front and ran to her to hug her.

Eunica didn't say anything.

She just felt what the secretary went through.

And she feels like she just saw her mother through her.

"Lara," The secretary somehow felt Lara's hugs through Eunica.

"Take care, Eunica." She looked at her and went on her way.

Jin was putting his sweater and Eunica saw his determination in his eyes.

"Jin," she steps inside and sits on the bed.

"Can I take my music player?" she asks making Jin smile at her.

"Why not, we might need to dance during our adventure," he looked at her.

And he knew he's complete.

He began to feel his mother's love and Eunica's with him.

They only have to take their home back.

"Take it, I'm on the Office of Force," Jin carried his bag.

"Do you want me to carry that?" He points to Eunica's bag.

"Nope, just take it to the office. I'll see you there," Eunica went out.

But she suddenly felt resentment towards her father.

'I'll clear this when I see him,' she thought.

She went to her room and took the music player.

There's still room in her bag for it and the tapes.

She sat for a while on the bed.

"I'll miss this place, sometimes I wish that I'd get back to normal, but ever since I was born there's nothing normal in my life," she whispers as she lays on her bed.

"Ah~ I just want to be happy with my family and friends."

But suddenly she opened her eyes, a question popped on her mind.

"I have never been to the main city, I wonder what it's like."

Their home is located on a far flung area.

Poverty and crime is the normal job in that place.

She wonders if the money she gave was enough for them to move to the city.

She immediately went to the office to ask where her family is.

When she opened the door, there was everyone who supports her.

They looked at her with a smile.

"Big sis!" The twins ran to her.

"Hey," she pats their head.

"We're sorry to leave you there," they cried.

"No problem, I know it's your job. I don't want you to get into trouble," she smiles and went to put the player on her bag.

"Now that I take a closer look, you really are pretty, Eunica!" Jhon smiles at her.

Jin suddenly appeared behind his back, "Yeah, she is," he said, scaring Jhon.

Everyone laughs.

"I will miss you guys," Eunica suddenly said.

She felt embarrassed.

"We will miss you too, but don't worry, we'll see each other again," Dr. Arlene assures her.

"Okay, so, aside from you bags, we have these, it's light and you can run while carrying these."

Hyung takes out two sling bags.

It's the first aid kit with medicines and a camping tent.

"This tent is for two people for SLEEPING, I don't want you to use it for other purposes," Hyung emphasized the word 'sleeping.'

Both Jin and Eunica blushed.

"So did you gave the condoms?" Hyung asks.

"HYUNG!" Eunica shouts.

Jhon and the other laughs.

"Carry the medical bag, Eunica. Jin, take the camping tent."

Hyung hands them the bags.

Eunica carried her bag while Jin helps her.

"Are you sure you're fine?" Jin asks.

Now that Eunica knows that they are not related, Eunica didn't hide her smile.

"Yeah," she nods.

"Ehem!" Hyung clears his throat, "Kids, are you ready?"

Hyung looks at the secretary.

"Let's go, the vice president's sleeping due to the pills Dr. Arlene gave him for his headache."

The secretary went out leading the way.

"The soldiers are all gathered in the containment room, Jermyn's keeping their company. She turned into the wolf that they are afraid about. They wanted to beat her," Hyung said.

Eunica never heard about Jermyn.

"Who's Jermyn?"She asks.

"She's a wolf. She's a friend but she rarely comes out, you know, lone wolf," Jin smiles.

"Oh, I see, say thanks to her," Eunica looks at Jhon.

"Yep, take care, Eunica, Jin."

They stopped in front of a white wall. It's a dead end.

"Why are we here?" Eunica asks.

Dr. Arlene looks at her, 'she doesn't remember that fully?' she thought.

"This is a secret connecting tunnel to the main city. The former President made this for his wife to travel easier," The secretary takes out a red stick. The end had a black button on it and when she pushed it.

The wall broke into two and it opened the tunnel.

There's a car parked in front of them.

"Let's get going,"Hyung went beside the car and went inside the driver seat.

Eunica and Jin followed him but Eunica decided to hug everyone before leaving.

"We'll be back," she said.

"We'll wait," The others replied.

Jin waves his hand and smiled at his mother.

"Come one, he'll wake up soon!" Hyung called them to hop on.

"Bye..." They all said to Eunica and Jin.

They already went inside, Jin and Eunica looked at each other.

"LET'S GO!" Hyung, Jin and Eunica said in unison as the engine starts and they drive off.

Everyone went inside and the secretary gave the button to Dr. Arlene.

"Plan A, successful." The secretary said as the gand went to continue lurking around in secrecy and Dr. Arlene smiles at her.

"Good to have you back, Jessica." Dr. Arlene smiles.

"Good to be back," The secretary went to her office.
