2 Falling in Love feeling
"He's not usually like that. Maybe because you're a girl," a soldier commented before she leaves the observation room. They just asked 8 things about the accident but he never said a word. He just keeps on smelling her jacket.
"I should give him the whole bottle of perfume then," she thought but before she closes the door, she took one more look at 8 who is now in his cage.
It might be cruel but it's a protocol, hybrids need to be in their cage at all times except when they are needed to be somewhere else.
His eyes were sad, "Ah, as if it was happy earlier," she whispered then left the containment room.
While walking towards the Head Quarters, she heard a noise from a dark hallway with debris was all over the place. She stopped and looked at what made the noise. A pair of eyes like a snake's stares back at her. She can even hear its hissing. Slowly, she takes her step towards it.
'This is stupid,' she thought then stops. "I ain't gonna die on this, let them do their job," she went on her way to where she needs to go.
After reporting what she saw to a soldier, she was sent to her room. It was the same as her room back from her first base, there was a box of Hawaiian pizza.
"Well, this is better than a cake, I think," she took a piece and sits on her bed while thinking about the "girl" thing the soldier noted after she interviewed 8.
"Maybe because almost all scientist and hybrids are male and there are only about two or three females on SINS. Me, the hybrid from my base, and the Secretary of the President," she already finished the first piece and went on to devour the next piece while staring at the wall.
"That sounds right since the first hybrid was curious about why I look different. That's kinda mean, they don't even know how other humans look like," before she knew it, she finished the pizza.
Only the box was left on her table, "It's not much. I'm still hungry."
She can't go out if she's not asked to so she needs to wait for the meal tonight but before it even arrives, she already slept.
The morning will never be nice to her, she always wakes up like she never slept. When she woke up, a meal was already on her table, it's the typical breakfast anyone will have- bacon, egg, ham, and egg.
Since her pizza was not enough last night, she immediately finished her breakfast and took a shower. While putting her clothes, she remembered 8. He liked her perfume. She has three bottles of the perfume because she wears it all day and it's for the whole year since they can only go out to the city once a year during their vacation and she has to buy everything she needs.
She wears a Harajuku yellow sweatshirt and black skinny jeans. She took a hoodie that was too large for her to use and put tons of perfume to it, she was still hesitant to give the bottle since he may not be able to keep it because the guards aren't nice and they may even take it away.
While she was fixing her bag, she saw a pair of chocolates. She was keeping this for her to eat when she needs it especially on 'that' day but remembering the thin 8, she took one chocolate to give to him.
The security arrived to send her back to the Containment Room after a few minutes. She excitedly went with them, "Ah, I can't wait to see him."
Her smile and energy suddenly disappear when she saw 8, chained in the room, and half-naked with blood and wounds over his old bruises.
"What!?" she shouted, jolting the people inside the observation room, "What happened? Why did you do that?"
The people turned their heads away from her and kept on observing 8, they did not even answer her. She glared over them and saw that the temperature was below 10-degree celsius.
She ran inside the containment room, the cold air ran chills through her bones that made her shiver the moment she took her step. What more to 8 who's wounded and doesn't have upper clothing?
The jacket she gave yesterday was too far away for him to reach. "God, good thing I took this," she put the jacket over him.
He's unconscious and is ice cold, she can still feel his pulse so he's still alive, at least. His long hair was covering his face, she brushed it away and saw a large bruise on his left eye. His lips burst. His frowns showed how much pain he is now, he's unconscious but even in his sleep, every bruise and wound kills him.
She never saw any hybrid treated this way. The soldiers might hurt them but they never were this brute. Her heart ached too much for him, he is still a human. Even if he's a hybrid, he's still like them- a person.
She can feel the cold even through her thick jacket, the hoodie she put over him was not even that thick so she hugged him. With every breath he takes, her hug gets tighter. She wants him to take her warmth.
But a beep suddenly woke him up. He shoved her away with a single push and was thrown 6 meters away, "Aw! That hurts, 8!" she shouted while laying down.
She took a few seconds before standing up but she suddenly heard a growl. She looked at where it was coming from and there was 8, who's down on all fours and is looking at her, he looks as if he's in pain but he's also angry. The pain triggered him to transform.
"Hey, hush 8. It's me, E.A! Don't worry I won't hurt you," slowly she stands up, he was still looking at her. Her hand was signaling him to calm down.
After sniffing the jacket over him, he froze, it's a familiar scent. His eyes that were full of anger changed and calmed down while looking at Eunica.
"Phew, that's a nice 8. Don't worry it's me," she said while walking slowly towards him.
But a soldier went inside with a gun on his hands pointing to the enraged hybrid, making 8 get angry again.
"Hey! Go out!" Eunica shouted.
"Here's a scissor better cut his hair because that's the reason he was punished," he shouted while handing her the scissors and he slowly put the gun down, "Be careful he might use it against you."
"What happened?" she walks to the soldier while looking at the scissor.
"Well, his hair got stuck on a soldier's buttons and they can't fix it so he pulled 8's hair that made him go crazy because it's quite painful even for me, it was a bunch of hair. Then he made other soldiers to beat him. Anyways, cut it properly and be careful."
That was the same soldier that commented last day, she took the scissors with a comb and blade that the soldier took from his pocket, guess the staffs didn't want him to have a proper haircut- giving them only a scissors.
He went out closing the door while 8 calms himself down with her hoodie. She looked around and saw the chair, she pulled it and also took her old jacket from the other side of the room and made 8 wear it while he was sitting on the chair.
She gently combs his hair, it was too sticky and thick making her have a hard time. "Do you want a medium length haircut, sir?"
Looking at 8, he looks mature and manlike with his strong jawline and he'd look hot if he'd gotten a bit muscle and fat.
After getting his hair cut, his tawny hair was on the floor making it look like it's an art with the white floor.
'Aw my gosh, thanks to the hybrid powers and to my talent for making him look gorgeous,' she thought while biting her lips.
8 looked at Eunica while drooling at him, "E.A, are you hungry?" Eunica suddenly woke up and wipes her drool."
Ah, yeah. You look good," too good to look at or even exist! "I remembered I have chocolate for you," she takes out the chocolate that melted from her pockets.
8 looks at her weirdly while combing his hair with his hand that made Eunica drool once again.
'Now I know what to do! I'll make him hot, I mean fat!' she thought while unwrapping the melted chocolate.
"What is that?" He asks while pointing to the chocolate.
"Uh, you never had this before? It's chocolate. It's sweet and it'll make you happy." She said while 8 is looking at the chocolate on his hands, "Take a bite," she said while looking at 8's lips.
Slowly, he took a bite and suddenly his eyes widen and took a larger bite, "Good right?"
'This is not what I need to do, this is not my job, this is not right!' She keeps on telling herself while walking back and forth in her room. After eating the chocolate, 8 suddenly hugged her saying that it makes him warm, and he needs her to hug her every day, he even brushed his face to her face while laughing.
This made her feel the falling in love feeling, her heart raced, her face heated up, and her nervousness succumbed her.
"He's just a hybrid I need to do-- I mean to ask things like will he marry me? Omygawd Eunica!" She bumps her head on the wall and pinched her cheeks until tears stream down her face.
"I never asked him anything today!" She sits down on her bed too hard that she bounced to the floor.
"Oh my god, my money! My clothes! My siblings!" She cried while massaging her aching back due to the fall, "I need to work better tomorrow!"
