12 Blood Relation

"Ughh," She tried to stand up slowly while holding the wall.

The water around her turned red and it looks like she's been bathing on a scarlet lake.

The shower's still on and the water's been running since she fainted.

"Gosh, what a waste of water," She reached for the faucet and turned off the shower.

Slowly, while holding unto things she walked outside.

The water from her body drips, making the floor quite slippery.

She took a towel and got dressed.

The wound in her head is still slightly bleeding and it causes severe pain.

She's in front of the mirror, after remembering everything she looks at herself differently. It made her feel whole inside. Like every piece of the puzzle suddenly went into their proper place, though some memory were still blurry, she can remember who she is.

Her father was the former president of the SINS but her Aunt, her mother's sister, betrayed them and let her husband have the institution for themselves.

She was the first hybrid created, she's part Himalayan cat and human.

Jin was born at the same time, he was originally the first one created but since he was a bit delicate due to his mixed DNA, they had a hard time with keeping him alive inside his mother's womb.

After her were different hybrids, some had a longer duration of stay in tubes while maturing because they are either weak or having unstable health records.

Jin and Eunica were the only ones who grew up on their mother's womb.

After her Uncle took over, every hybrid tried to escape. Everyone did their best to protect each other from the new scientist, soldiers, and staffs.

Cael defended everyone especially her and when he was on the tight spot, he suddenly lost control and accidentally scratched her back because she doesn't want to leave him.

That's when Syp took her and made her escape through his room's secret escape route but they caught her at the end.

They deleted her animal DNA and her memory as a threat to her father which made him give the institution to his sister-in-law.

After that, their life became miserable.

They lost a huge amount of money, which was stolen by her aunt as well.

Her parents created stories such as why they got poor, that her father married her mother because he loves her so that her memory of the past will not interrupt with their status in life now.

She also remembered that Jin or Cael is her cousin since her Aunt is her Mother's sister making her press her wounds a bit harder.

"I need to go to the clinic but I think they won't let me out since---"

She can't get out of her room if she's not asked, but to her surprise, it opened.

"Oh," she went out while holding a handkerchief to her wound.

"What happened? Why is the door open?"

She looked around if there are security who will chase her but the hallway is silent.

"Hm, whatever. I need to go to the clinic, gosh I want to see Doctor Arlene! I missed her!"

She giggled and went on her way to the clinic.

'How stupid I was to get jealous over her. She's our doctor and she loves us all.'

She arrived while Doctor Arlene is checking on Jin's health records making her get startled.

"Oh," she put her hand on her chest while breathing heavily then puts Jin's records away.

"What was that, Doctor?"

Eunica entered the clinic and then took a seat on Doctor Arlene's desk.

"Nothing... Wait, WHAT HAPPENED?"

Doctor Arlene stood up and went to Eunica taking her hand away from her wound.

"What happened? Gosh, where's my first aid kit.."

She runs around panicking looking for the kit.

"I just, uh... slipped in the bathroom and hit my head," Eunica said while watching Doctor Arlene take the first aid kit from the cabinet.

"Oh, be careful. I might need to do some test to check if nothing happened to your brain," Doctor Arlene was cleaning her wound.

Eunica looked up to Doctor Arlene, trying to compare how she looks before and now.

'She's still pretty,' she thought while smiling.

"No need, I am good. Maybe just painkillers for the wound will do."

"What hurts? The wound or inside your head?"

"The wound, it stings."

'If they will find out that I already regained my memory, they will be in trouble.'

"Okay... You sure about that? If you faint or feel headaches, tell me immediately."

'I thought there were only three girls in the institution because they never talked about Doctor Arlene back in my base,' she thought while unconsciously looking over at Doctor Arlene's chest.

Doctor Arlene finished with the bandages.

"Okay, done. Wait for me, I'll get the medicine."

She left Eunica alone in the clinic while she went inside the storage room.

Suddenly, Secretary Luinn went inside.

They looked at each other.

'The traitor's here. Wow, I am glad to see her.'

She faked smile, so did the Secretary.

'My, why do I have to see this kid here? What happened to her head? Did Cael hurt her?'

"What happened?"

The Secretary pointed at Eunica's head.

"Uh, I slipped," she sweatdrops.

'My Aunt still thinks that Cael, I mean Jin still can't control himself? What a mother!'

After the incident of her getting scratched by Jin, her Aunt never let herself be near Jin again because she's afraid that Cael will hut her as well especially because they were the ones who stole the institution from Eunica's family.

After a few awkward silence, Doctor Arlene came back holding the painkillers.

She got shocked to see Secretary Luinn.

"Need something?"

She asked while giving Eunica the medicine.

After that day, everyone were changed except Doctor Arlene and Syp because they know how hybrids work.

They created a bond with them and they will be the only ones who can understand how and why hybrids act in a specific manner, making Luinn have an easier control over the hybrids.

"Yeah, I might need some of those. My head back's aching."

She moved her hips while sitting.

"Oh, signs of aging,"

Doctor Arlene joked while pointing at her.

Secretary Luinn got annoyed and threw insults at Doctor Arlene.

"Well, at least I am married,"

She crossed her hands while looking lowly at Doctor Arlene.

"What? I don't need anyone. Here! Take this and go!"

Doctor Arlene took few of the painkillers she gave to Eunica and threw it to Secretary Luinn.

Secretary Luinn stands up and rolled her eyes at Doctor Arlene before leaving.

'If Aunt didn't betray us, then they would've been best of friends.'

They were best friends before.

Doctor Arlene assists Luinn before during her pregnancy with Jin.

"Sorry about that, well you didn't need that much," Doctor Arlene pointed at the meds.

"That will be enough," she said and sat on her desk.

Eunica stands up, "Thank you, Doctor. I will take my leave."

Doctor Arlene smiled at her, 'My, what a lady she became.'

Eunica left with the meds in her hand.

'I don't know what to do after regaining my memory. I just don't know why Father let me go back to this place even though he knows I don't remember a thing. Gosh,' she sighed.

'Wait! Gaaaaaaaaaaaaawd~~~~ I fell in love with my cousin? Did I just fell in love with my cousin?'

She stops and shakes her head.

"What the..." she exclaimed.

'Cael, I mean Jin. Why did I named him, he has a name and now I'm having troubles with it!'

She walks a bit faster due to her annoyance.

'He's my cousin, and he knows that. Why didn't he stop me when I was flirting with him! Is he into incest? O my gawd!'

She kept on sighing and walks while looking down at the floor.

"Ouch!"

She bumped into someone making her step backward and lose her balance after.

She falls on her butt while the medicine was all over the place.

"Oh, sorry, E.A."

Rin offered his hand to Eunica.

She looked up at him and remembered, 'Oh, my first love. How cute,'

During her childhood, Rin was just a young soldier. He was still in his teens while she's about seven.

She had the huge crush on him and after some time, she said that he's her first love.

There will be times when she will purposely let herself be in trouble so Rin will help her out.

She smiled at him unconsciously, and then took his hand for support while standing up.

Rin got embarrassed with her smiling at him.

He already accepted that she forgot him and she'll never look at him like before but for a moment, when she smiled, he felt like she's still the same. That she can remember him.

"Sorry, I was lost in my thoughts and I, um, I'm sorry."

Rin scratched the back of his head.

Eunica just smiles at him, she feels like a little girl in love.

"It's okaaaay~"

She said while still smiling at him.

Rin suddenly remembered that Eunica acts like that before, smiling and talking sweetly to him.

Her eyes got wide, 'Did she remember?'

"You... do you remember?"

'Crap!' she thought.

Her smile faded and she walked past him.

"No, I don't know what you're talking about. Anyways..."

She smiled, 'Thank God I remember you,'

"Bye," she continued on walking, leaving Rin to watch her as she walks away.

"I'm stupid, how can she remember? I will be the Rin she knows now, gone is her first love, gone is mine as well,"

They walk away from each other,

"I will have to return the originals,"

They both thought.

Eunica arrived at her room.

She took the medicine immediately then she heard the beep coming from her laundry.

She forgot to take it with her, 'Hyung must be worried.'

She took it and heard Syp shouting the moment she said hi.

"What happened? You were sleeping so soundly that you forgot to answer me?"

She giggled, Hyung was always her savior.

The moment Cael lost his control and scratched her, she saved him.

When her Aunt Luinn's husband tried to kill her, she saved him.

And when her Aunt almost found out that they were talking, she saved him again from being caught.

"What's that giggle? Anyway, Jin needs you."

She suddenly stopped giggling,

"Why? What happened to him?"

She immediately went out.

"Wait, where is he?"

"He's unconscious due to the medication. He's in room 008. Go left and turn right after, you'll see numbers starting from zero."

She followed his instruction.

"I'm here with him but I need to do something so I need you to look after him."

She ran as fast as she could and when she arrived, she entered the room and saw Syp with Jin.

"Oh, that was fast but since you're here, I'll go. I'm in a hurry."

Syp stands up and before he leave the room, he pats Eunica's shoulder and whispered,

"Don't take advantage of him, he's weak and needs care."

She blushed but felt disgust, 'How can I do that to my cousin? That's-- and you know we're blood related, how can you say that?' she looked at him with question all over her face.

"Oh, so you're innocent? That's good then. Take care of him."

Syp thought that Eunica will try to sneak a kiss from Jin since she did that once before when she found out that they are not blood related. That was the exact time when their enemy took them down and if ever Eunica will regain her memory, she will never be able to remember that. Doctor Arlene processed her memory to be regained after time but only those with the biggest impact will be remembered. If she was not able to play as the mad scientist that day, they will never get Eunica back. For her animal DNA, the only thing that she lost was the ability to transform into the cat she is but her abilities such as being fast will stay and will also come back after the time she regains her memory.

Now, Eunica's alone with Jin in his room.

If she did not remember he's her cousin, she really might do take advantage of him, but now that she knows, she can't even look at him without feeling the pain and disgust.
