Chapter 21 Did he milk females?!!!

Sydney glared at Ken's red face with bitterness. He wasn't worth her energy. After her meal, Caden helped her wah her hands and they were back on listening to her plan.

With the city Lord willing to involve himself in the matter, Shawn's unsteady nerves immediately relaxed but his heart was thrown into a trumoil. Lord Ash was also a single beastman.... wasn't the competition only getting worse day by day?!

After strategically explaining everything, Sydney looked at the men present waiting for any rejection but no one said a word. Carlos wa surprised at how smart and realistic Sydney was with her plans.

"How do we test your skills in battle?!" Ken asked.

The main room in the hall is wide enough. We can test from there." Sydney said boastfuly.

It's late. We can do that tomorrow morning." Carlos interrupted. She only ate a little food that didn't add up to a single bite all these male here made. She had even asked for milk but none got it for her yet they wanted her to still fight?! How was he a father if he watched such a thing take place!

But....." Sydney wanted to protest.

A growl from Ash and everyone looked at him. He was in support with Carlos, she needed to rest!

I'm strong enough!" Sydney insisted but one hard glare from those emerald eyes had her shut up. Why did she feel like she was being scolded?! Was she? When was the last time something like that even happened? "Not handsome anymore!" she greeted softly but was heard anyway.

Shawn felt the prick of jealousy while Caden pulled her to sit in his lap. His hands went around her waist and he burried his face in her neck. It happened too fast that Sydney didn't get a chance to protest and when his lips touched her skin, she chilled and smacked his hands.

"What's that for?" Caden raised his head from her neck.

"Your tickling me! And there's still people around here!" She scolded him and stole a glance at the panther. He was still looking at her

"It's only natural..I'm your male!" he said aggrieved leaving Sydney speechless.

"We'll come back tomorrow morning." Carlos said and stepped out to leave his son and his mate. There hadn't been much opposition from Sydney so his worries for his son were naturally cleared.

The following morning.

Ash was the first to appear at the city hall in his beast form along with Parrick just behind him nagging. He turned a deaf ear and walked into the meeting hall. She was there talking happily with Caden and Shawn. She had matured over the years and he liked it..on the sad part, it seemed like she didn't recognize him at all. Was it because he had grown bigger?!

He walked in and Sydney turned to him with her big green eyes. She offered a smile as a greeting and he gave a nod in return. He held a skin bottle with his teeth and strolled to her. Once he was before her, he gestured for her to take it. As stupid as she might have seemed, she could tell that he was giving what he was carrying to her. She took it from him.

Damn! His canines were long and looked sturdy! His skin looked even better the closer he was...if I let she could get a dress from his skin...it looked smooth. She looked in his eyes and he looked back at her. Did she remember him?! he thought hopefully.

"Thank you." Sydney realised she was looking a little too much and hence she withdrew with the animal skin bottle.

"Wow!!! So that's her! She looks divine! Hadn't you been such a nut head.. she'd have been yours! If only I wasn't stupid to have standards like yours, I wouldn't be single! I'm green with envy! Why don't you introduce me?" Parrick nagged.

Ash answered with a scoff and walked over towards Sydney who was seeking Caden's help to open the bottle. It was only courtesy to drink what was given to you and besides, Ash was the city Lord hence she had no concerns. She put the lid on her moth and drank the contents in the bottle and was extremely surprised. "Milk!!!!" she exclaimed happily. It was indeed milk! She drank a mouthful..she felt alive!!! She loved milk so much that it was part of her daily life back at earth hence these past few days without it were really tough!

In a few more mouthfuls, it was empty. The flavour still lingered in her mouth and it was surprisingly sweet. She looked at Ash with gratitude but then suddenly crisis struck her...where did he get the milk from?!!!! She was sure it tasted like milk but was it milk?!!!

As if understanding her dilemma, Ash gave her a nod to confirm that it was indeed milk! He was the one that personally went to get it last night and only returned this morning. She ran to his side. "Where did you get it? So there are cows here, right?! I knew it! I can finally have milk!" she expressed her happiness unrestrainedly.

Caden turned green in envy. His female was showering praises to another male and smiling at him so happily. He felt bitter! Females were always the one who had milk...where did the city lord get it?! Did he milk some females?!

Ken entered after gaining details on the different strays that had infiltrated the city. The number wasn't high but they were all four and fifth rank beastmen. They were formidable! They needed to take precautions!
